If you’re tired of bad hair days, and want a great haircut, or color, then you need to go see Gan! She’s THE BEST hair stylist for men’s haircuts, women’s haircuts, and kid’s haircuts. The hair salon she works at, Halo Hair Studio, is small, yet there’s no drama, or tense atmosphere like the last salon (Urban Roots Community Salon) My gf, and I moved to SD last year… we found Gan Southgate Hair Designs on Unilocal,and her reviews were not only good, they were spot on! Gan takes her time, listens, and is a perfectionist. We’re really picky, and Gan did not let us down. Highly recommend her!

Gan is amazing!!!
I took my boyfriend to see Gan because his beard was covering his whole face. I am not a beard fan so I asked Gan if she could clean it up. I surprised him and booked an appointment and Gan was so awesome. He looks so good and I am totally a fan of his beard now. Nice and neat, straight and sexy!

My boyfriend has been to Gan before and his hair turn out amazing and I really needed a hair cut and a new look. After seeing what Gan did to his hair I felt like I could totally trust creating me a new look. I gave her like 10 different styles I liked and she took her all that info and her fantastic hair dressing skills and made me a new look and actually shaped my hair to the shape of my head. Over all she is super nice and polite and she now has two new customers as long as she is in business! Thanks again Gan!

I have been Gan’s client for more than 20 years. I don’t have to tell her how to cut it; she is good and I can sit back, relax and trust that she’ll cut it in a good way. And she accommodates my last-​minute planning! Most recently I got at least 9 compliments as I walked from her shop to the coffee house! Keep up the good work!

Gan Southgate is the only stylist in San Diego that knows how to cut my hair based on hair type. Its obvious that she’s been in this industry for years with lots of experience!!! I’ve been through various different salons and the initial cut looks good but when it grows out, you can see the the different lengths in areas that should be even. But when Gan does it, the style is still there, just longer.

I am a huge fan of Gan Southgate Hair Designs. Gan Southgate is truly an artist in hair styling. I came in unsure of what to do with my hair, but she fixed that problem and I left with a new gorgeous do. She gave me a clean haircut that shapes itself and added color which she calls a «halo». I love it!
