Four Points Shearton Hotel

I chose this hotel for location and it was pretty last minute. The pictures online looked way better than the actual hotel. From the outside the hotel looked nice and even the reception area was nice. However, as soon as you start to walk to your room its another story. It is so run down. The carpet looks old and dirty. The doors of the hotel rooms looked so old and worn that I almost felt like it was some sleazy motel. There were guys just standing around the hallway smelling like marijuana.
The room itself seemed okay until we noticed that there was a used soap bar that had clearly been just sitting there in the shower. It made me very uncomfortable wondering if any part of the room had been cleaned. Not okay.

What a dump of a hotel. We stayed 7 seven night and first time I walked into the room noticed carpet had gum and was dirty. My wife and I were woken up by ants on the bed and all over the floor. I informed front desk in the morning. Came back from long day and noticed housekeeping tried to clean but ants were still in the room. On the 3^rd day informed the room cleaner (she was great) tried to clean unfortunately the issue was not solved. It was impossible to have any snacks as the ants quickly would get in the food. After eating I placed the trash out side room and its still out side after 2 days. On our last night room was not serviced at all. This hotel is stuck in the 80s and just dirty. The roof is leaking and there are buckets in the hallway. The 15 dollar breakfast buffet is a joke. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Exactly what we were looking for. Close to the zoo, professional and courteous employees. Clean and organized rooms. Refrigerator and microwave in room, exra outlets for electronics to charge. Desk with chair along with an extra chair to relax in if you’d like. Quick and efficient check in and out. Definitely recommend and would stay here again if the opportunity was needed.

Michael Mawien at the front desk goes above and beyond. He was very knowledgeable about the area, what to do, where to go, eat etc.

Saturday Night there is a singles party there. Nice clean and cool place. BUT and you guys know I usually have a BUT… :) the crowd is 35 and over and tends to stretch the OUTER LIMITS of 35 like 55! Sooooooo unless you are trying to date your Moms friends… you may want to pass on this one. If you know anyone in that age class send them over I’m sure they’ll have a good time
