This little yogurt shop is friendly, cheap, and most importantly of all, it’s delicious! Most other froyo chains are affordable enough, clean, and cute, but they really lack that welcoming feeling. The workers seem happy to serve you and be done with you; you’re just a part of the assembly line. Forbidden Yogurt is just as clean, but far better at giving customers options. I think most chains offer maybe 12 different topping options in the cooler and maybe another 8 ‘cookie jar’ options. Forbidden Yogurt has significantly better and more topping options than any yogurt place I’ve been to. They also have really unique flavors and rotate them in and out more frequently than a chain(which will appeal to some and bum others out). Being a local, I love it. The second best thing is not feeling rushed or feeling Hawkeyes down your back while making selections/having samples. Plus the lady whom I’ve seen there every time has been quite pleasant. I would note that it is better to pay in cash if you’re only having a small amount; they charge extra if you use a card on less then $ 4. All in all, if you crave froyo and have never been in University City, definitely have a look at something that’s pleasantly different!
