Took my husband there for his birthday dinner. We had reservations and we were seated right away when we got there. There was a bday card on our table, which was a nice touch. Our server also greeted my husband happy bday and was very attentive throughout. We ordered the Taste of Seasons, which was very delicious! We enjoyed the food but were really impressed with the level of their customer service.

i really do love Fleming’s…i love their happy hour even more! i love that they have a second happy hour even more than that! the burger here is AMAZING!!! and if you get it on HH its cheap. earlier HH(4 – 6) costs less than the later HH(8 – 10) I’ve tried both Happy Hours and I love them both, but if i had to pick one. i prefer the earlier one… because i can get the burger for $ 3 less =) of course the late night HH does a top shelf wine flight for under $ 10! oh and the late night has killer empanadas & ahi tuna tacos! not a fan of the lobster lettuce wraps… i’ll be back again and again. still my favorite downtown happy hour(for food)

I’m a fan of Flemings. My steak was perfect, the drink are tasty and the wine is good. Great wine selection. I had the Filet cooked med. YUM. they have great sides and I had the crème brûlée. yes yes yes. We were here for a business dinner. I think we had about 25 to 30 people with us and everyone said they were so happy with the meal. Loved the private room and the service.

Its a nice set up, the food is delicious they have a al carte menu.(Everything is ordered separately) however they running 15 – 20 minutes behind on reservations. But we were guilty of running 15 minutes behind ourselves. We called to change the reservation but was not informed reservations were already running late and we’d be in fact on time lol so we waited approximately 30 minutes after our reservation to be seated. This place in my opinion is an upscale sports bar. For the price you pay i would expect it to be more of a intimate ambience; the noise level was loud and environment wasn’t calming or relaxing, a typical sport bar feel.

I have been wanting to try their HH for years and we finally got an opportunity last night prior to the Seinfeld concert at the civic theater. We got to Flemings at 5:25 and every seat was taken… it’s not a large bar area so be aware. The host said it might be 40 minutes… we proceed to a corner of the bar and have our muffled mini argument about whether we have time to chance it ahead of the concert located 7 blocks north of Flemings. While going back and forth on this the bartender came over and asked us what we wanted to drink and then said it probably wouldn’t be that long of a wait as there were only 2 parties ahead of us. I was skeptical but really wanted to give it a try. Shockingly we were handed 2 glasses of wine 3 minutes later and literally it was only 2 minutes after getting our wine when another couple left, opening up 2 perfect seats at the bar. Great start with awesome service! Knowing how our time was slightly compressed we immediately ordered the calamari and the burgers priced at 8 bucks for HH. They serve complimentary barbeque potato chips at the bar too. The calamari was fried really well and it was a sizeable portion for 6 bucks. I’m still partial to the calamari at Eddie V’s which is more of a Chinese dish with Szechuan peppers. Still, while the calamari was pretty tasty, the show stopper was the burger. Holy cow! This is no joking the best burger I think I’ve tried in my life… no exaggeration! First, it’s hard to find a place that will honor your medium rare request… mooo…ahhhh!!! Second, it came with bacon and cheese… I’ve got no problem with that even though I probably should! The burger was huge and somehow I finished every bite myself. I’m big on combos and sharing with people but I have to say that when I go back, I won’t be sharing this burger… you will just have to get your own! The meat was juicy and perfectly salted… no ketchup even necessary. Even the brioche bun was the perfect compliment to this out of this world burger. It was really all about the quality and flavor of the meat. My 16 year old nephew is a big fan of a good burger and we took him to Raglan Pulbic House in OB last year… he still carries on about this burger but I’m certain he would be impressed with Flemings. In fact, I inquired with the bartender about minors sitting in the bar and she said they are allowed at the booth. We also learned that HH starts at 4 pm on Sunday. So we definitely plan on returning very soon!

5 stars all around! Parking can be confusing so if I were you, just pay $ 12 to have them valet your car rather than pay $ 20 for a parking lot! We made reservations — I highly recommend making one by the way — for 6:45 and arrived slightly prior to 6:30. By 6:35 we had been seated. Our waitress, Maria, was fantastic and so sweet. We ordered the sweet chili calamari first and it was SO good! The bread they bring to the table is also amazing! It comes with two types of cheese spread — a Brie spread and an aged cheddar spread — both of which are delicious. As soon as we finished the app and bread, the table was cleared and our steaks we’re served immediately! The steaks are AMAZING and the Flemings potatoes are great as well as the Mac and Cheese! Highly recommend this place! Our ticket ended up being $ 150 including a glass of wine and old fashion, but totally worth every single penny! They even sent a thank you email and the manager checked on us before we left!

My husband and I came here on the 26th of December for my birthday dinner. I was happy to see that the other patrons in the restaurant were dressed nice, we have been to Donovan’s before and that was not the case. It just takes away from the experience. The food was excellent and the service was very good. It is not often that we go out and eat food that is better than we can prepare at home, but the rib eye we had was wonderful. Perfectly seasoned and prepared. Thank you Flemming’s for making my birthday so nice!

I was pretty excited to check out a good steak house in San Diego, but the food didn’t turn out so good. Chilean Sea Bass — not much flavor and was over overcooked. I know it’s a steakhouse, but if you’re going to charge $ 45 I expect it be good. Main Filet Mignon — It was nice cut but there was no flavor and it was over cooked. I ordered this medium rare/rare and it came out medium. I never saw the waiter come to check on us so I just ended up eating it. At $ 50 this is frustrating. Sauteed Mushrooms — very tasty but it seems they just drenched it oil and butter so after a while you can’t eat too much of it. The food is pretty expensive so I was expecting a lot more. The ambience was nice, but a bit pretentious. The service was good up to the point where I never saw the waiter to ask about my Filet Mignon. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like this place, maybe it was just a bad day because people seem to like it.

I’ve been here a couple of times. I love when I get Jason as a waiter he has amazing customer service! Very personable, positive, and knows what he is doing. The first time we came here we had him, he made the experience great! But… The next time we came we had another server and was disappointed with how he treated us. We came back again probably 8 months later and were seated in Jason’s area and he remembered us! Next time I go back I will make sure to request Jason. Lol In regards to food… The steak is so good I always get filet mignon. It’s seasoned to perfection and is cooked well. I also like the scalloped potatoes. One thing I’m not fond of is the wait. I always make a reservation and I am still left waiting 15 – 20 min to be seated.

Superb service and great food. If you notify them of a special occasion, they give you truffles and DO make every effort to treat you well. The price IS high, about $ 250 for 2 people. Great food is great food, but 10 stalks of asparagus should never be $ 12.50! You never have to worry about bad food, as it is always great! I had the block cut ribeye and it did not disappoint. Crème Brûlée is marvelous. I did find the Latte to be overly strong and bitter. All in all a special anniversary dinner with my spouse.

I am not a big fan of fancy steakhouses but this place is beyond my expectations. Service is great, and my rib eye was AMAZING!!! I am very critical on how my steak is cooked, but this was done to perfection!!! Definitely will come again!

My daughter was in the mood for steak so I suggested we go to Fleming’s since I always wanted to try the restaurant. Well we were not disappointed. My hubby and daughter had the prime rib of which you can choose a salad and a side dish. My hubby had the wedge salad which was extremely tasty with a slice of bacon and blue cheese. My daughter had the Fleming’s salad which she enjoyed especially the candied walnuts. I had the petite filet mignon and added the truffle poached lobster. When my meal arrived it was a bit too salty and over done. The wait staff and manger immediately took the meal and rectified the situation. When my steak and lobster returned it was perfect. As for the sides we ordered Fleming’s potatoes and chipotle mac and cheese. Both dished were excellently prepared as well as they were on the large side enough to share and take home. My hubby and daughter both enjoyed their prime ribs and stated they were perfectly cooked. In addition, the prime came with three dipping sauces which were also enjoyable. I will definitely return to Fleming’s for the meal, atmosphere and of course the exquisite customer service.

HAPPYHOURREVIEW: A friend and I took advantage of their happy hour before starting our Friday night shenanigans. There were some open seats available when we came in at 8:30. We both got wine and I also ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. Its unusual for me to order that. It was a girls night so I wanted something girly & it was definitely a girl’s drink. Great sour, creeper-of-a-drink, but I stayed away from the sugarcoated rim. For appetizers we ordered the Lobster Lettuce Wraps & the Filet Mignon Flatbread. The winner of the night for the both of us was the Filet Mignon Flatbread! It had everything that I love… arugula, balsamic glaze, blue cheese, caramelized onions, and the filet mignon was the cherries on top. It had good size chunks of meat on it! We couldn’t get over how delicious it was. The lobster tacos were alright. I felt it was paired with overpowering flavors… salsa, orange, & bacon. It was the most expensive Happy Hour bill I’ve ever received, but for the classy ambiance, delicious food, & excellent wine… it was worth it. A nice treat & a great way to get a peek of Fleming’s on a smaller budget. Heads up! Happy Hour only available at the bar.

Flemings is one of my favorite steakhouses, and this location is just as good. Parking is difficult to find, but it’s not too bad. The location itself is slightly small and feels kind of cramped inside, but the food is perfect. I always get the steak, but their creamed spinach and mashed potatoes are delicious too.

Obviously 5 star quality here! I really enjoyed my meal here, it started with some amazing sourdough bread with two distinctly different butter dips(Amazing!) and it ended with a rockslide brownie, and a whole lot in-between! The place is a little smaller feeling and no views to speak being on the bottom floor downtown. However in the few places it lacks I feel they make up overall in other areas. Service was 4.5−5 star, the guy was on point although busy he was professional, had good recommendations, and kept a smile on his face, cheers to you sir! This place will hit you in the pocket book, so be prepared, nothing like a fifty dollar steak if you ask me ;) Oh the spicy peppers with calamari was exceptional and regularly priced about 10.99, well worth it. Happy eating this place is high class!

Happy hour p-p-power! Because there is always time to be a hero and rescue some wine trapped in a bottle. I always enjoy a good happy hour(HH) and Fleming’s HH is certainly a contender. The HH area itself isn’t very big with only a handful of booths and bar stools lined along the bar’s perimeter. The lighting has a soft glow which gives the restaurant an intimate feel. There is a limited selection of specialty cocktails and select wines by the glass as well as generous appetizers all for only $ 6 between 5−7pm. The late-night HH from 8−10pm increases to $ 9 across the board. 7 days a week. Highly recommend the prime burger. It comes with bacon, cheese and fries. Also, the tenderloin carpaccio. It is topped with a caper-creole mustard sauce and diced red onions and served with toasted French bread. Well-balanced and enjoyable flavors throughout. Service has consistently been attentive, prompt and friendly.

So this is the first time that I have been to this location, my girls were draggin their heels about where to eat, so I had trepidation about trying to make reservations at 3:00 pm for dinner at 6:15 pm same day, but there was no problem and we got a nice table. Compared to the UTC location, this one seemed a little more intimate and had better lighting. We were here for the $ 30.00 Prime Rib special, and they did not disappoint. The Fleming’s Wedge salad is very good, lots of nice bacon with the wedge and a slice of bleu cheese to kick it up. Love the trio of sauces(au jus, horseradish and another sauce(maybe the dijon sauce?. The crust on the meat is seasoned perfectly. Excellent portion size. For sides, we had the garlic mashed, Fleming’s potatoes and creamed spinach. I seem to be the only one that digs the Flemings potatoes, love the mix of jalapeño and cheddar. Disappointed about the dessert, I wanted the S’more, but was told that was not available with the special… I mean… the advertising says«your choice of dessert»…it was on the menu. I had the Turtle pie… it SUCKED(dry, way too nutty and not very sweet, crumbly, not silken)…and I only ate half of it… would have been a 4 star review except for the dessert… details, people, always in the details. Waitstaff did an excellent job… and we tipped well, so nobody has anything to complain about. Would go back, do the Sunday prime rib thing again for sure!

One of the best dining experiences. We called for reservation to celebrate our birthdays while in San Diego. When we arrived we were seated immediately and found a handwritten birthday card on our table. Wait staff provided impeccable service. We both had the filet and they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Flemings potatoes are to die for and the onion rings are probably the best I’ve ever had. After dinner we declined dessert because we were so stuffed but they still brought out a beautiful gift box of truffles and a $ 25 gift card for future visit. I thought I was done until the next morning when the received an email thanking us for celebrating our birthdays with them. Amazing meal… amazing customer service!

Food– ##### Service– ##### Ambience– #### Parking– ### What a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary! Have been to the Fleming’s in La Jolla, but this was my first time at the SD location. Hubby and I were thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the attentive service. Our server Dave was amazing and made some great recommendations.(And very funny!) I really can’t say anything bad about the food, I just have two words for you: ribeye, medium. Seriously, one of the most delicious steaks I’ve ever had. I love me some Donovan’s but this steak was on point. And make sure you never turn down the«iron crusted» option. Another favorite of the night was the French onion soup, rustic yet refined, great flavors and textures. Personalized service is what I got when I went to Fleming’s. From the complementary champaign to the hand signed card I’m pretty smittened. So happy we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. :)

Excelente servicio!
