I was concerned when I walked in because the place seemed disheveled and the employees were all sitting watching TV. I ordered a carne asada burrito. It was actually so gross I tossed it after a few bites. The meat was chopped up into very small pieces, it was fatty, it was slimy. Enough said!

I was a little weired out when I first walked in an no one was in here on a saturday… the place seems pretty ghetto no real pride in their business. The menus are paper I understand cutting cost but they sacrifice it for quality. Minus one star for a hair in my salsa. It looks like they add water to everything Minus one for the watery guac. Minus one for brown not fresh horchata … I would stay away from here.

I heard this place had amazing hot sauces, so figured I’d give it a try. Their hot sauce IS pretty awesome! 4 stars for that alone. But the food. Didn’t think it was possible to mess up carne asada chips… Man was I wrong! They are horrible! The chips are stale and have an old oil taste to them. The carne asada it’s not fatty, so that’s a plus. But it’s super dried out. Like almost beef jerky status. Guacamole is mainly all brown. And the cheese. It’s a sauce. An extremely watered down sauce. not worth the money at all. Couldn’t even eat it. After 3 bites, had to dump it.

I ordered the El Mariachi burrito and was pleasantly surprised. It lived up to it Tejano inspired name being a rich mix of Mexican– German culture, polka meets salsa in true south Texas form with carne asada, chorizo, guacamole and sour cream. Nice job.

Liked it when they were in Mira Mesa, not so much at this location. Food is way too salty!
