I heard about this place through my friend who just had her new place done by them. I actually recommended them to one of my best friends, whom just moved to SD. She complained that the lack of protection for her eyes from the unyielding Southern California sun flooding in was quite unbearable(yeah I know right? *eyes roll*). So you know what that meant… off to blind-shopping we went! We looked around at a couple of places that were recommended, but found that they either a bit too pricey for for her budget or was not able to set up an appointment as soon as she would like. So we called up Design Blind and Shutter and they were fortunately able to set up a consultation(which was free, yay) the same day! Within a 2 weeks, she was able to get that consultation, come see the samples at the showroom and make her choices, and get a one-day installation on a Saturday morning. She ended up choosing the custom arch shutter and silhouette designs(which I helped her pick out, lol) and all the reps were pretty friendly, knowledgeable and patient(despite my usual game of Twenty Questions when checking out a new place, haha). I would recommend Lucky though I guess, since he was the one mainly who helped us and was very accommodating and thorough. Now, my friend is protected in the day from cancer-inducing UV rays, and at night from potential Peeping Toms. She is definitely delighted with the blinds. One star knocked off though, for a bit of phone tag in setting up the appointment, but once we finally connected it was smooth-sailing :)
