Any woman who has gone past her due date… like really past it-​Knows the struggle. Every night you go to bed praying that tonight will be the night and cant help feeling a little disappointed in yourself and your own body that the time doesnt come. I first met Deb when I went to her for an acupuncture appointment at 41 weeks prego after reading her reviews for pre/​postnatal acupuncture in hopes of jumpstarting everything. Im a huge lover of acupuncture and all its amazing benefits WHEN done by the person who loves their trade. Deb and I immediately connected. She is just so warm and you immediately feel at ease and happy when in her presence. That day I literally floated out of her office! She has that magical touch. Although she is one of the very best acupuncturists Ive came across thats not what this review is about… She knew how anxious about my pregnancy I was so even though she wasn’t working in her office the next day she invited me into her home for another treatment. I had done a ton of research about giving birth and thought I had it all planned up but when nothing was going as I had hoped for I knew that although I love my husband dearly I would need some additional support (and no that did now include the Gmas! lol). I brought my hubby along to meet her for the first time and he felt the same way I did. When 42 weeks was upon us and nothing was ticking I wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital and had to be induced. One of the best decisions we made in regards to our pregnancy/​labor was having Deb as our Doula. I honestly think it was meant for us to meet that day. My labor was tough and longgg and nothing went as planned but I cant imagine how it would have been nor neither can my hubby without her there by our side. She just has that WOO going for her. She did acupuncture and massage to help me with the labor pains. Held my hand and talked to me all night when after 30 hours I still wasn’t dilating. Burned oils and charmed all the staff so my husband and I were allowed to take a shower together and even moved into the BIG room. When Scarlett was finally here she even had taken pictures that Im so grateful for now. It aint called labor for nothing but Im so glad I had I had Deb my Doula by our side. I couldn’t have imagined it wo her and to be honest I think would have ended up having a C-​section if she wasn’t there. A million thanks to this amazing woman!

Deb has been my acupuncturist since 2013 when I wanted to prepare my body for pregnancy. She has been there every step of the way, and now I have a wonderful 3 month old boy. Her passion for pregnancy and birthing mommas is so apparent in her sessions and I always leave feeling better and deeply relaxed. I started seeing Deb in January of this year to help with my PPD and anxiety that I’ve been having. After each session I feel so much calmer. I am beyond elated with the help she’s given me. Deb is nothing short of AMAZING and was instrumental in allowing me to have a drug free natural childbirth with my 2^nd child. I chose to have a natural birth after being drugged up and out of it with my 1^st child. Deb worked to educate me on the benefits of natural childbirth as well as provide me with all the tools and ‘tricks of the trade’ to have a successful drug free birth. Deb introduced and taught me about hypnobirthing which was one of the main reasons I feel like I was able to tune out the hospital distractions and focus on my labor.
Deb helped to naturally induce my labor with acupuncture as I approached my due date and then after my due date when they started talking about a pitocin induction, which I didn’t want to do!
She spent the entire day with me when I was laboring performing acupuncture, massage and walking in the park, etc. after the hospital wouldn’t admit me since I wasn’t in active labor yet. I feel strongly that without her help the hospital may have pushed artificial ways of progressing my labor on me.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into with a natural drug free birth but with Deb’s help I was able to accomplish my goal and my recovery has been effortless this time around. I was able to leave the hospital after only 24 hrs and was back to exercising less than 2 weeks after my sons birth. Deb also introduced me to Kimberly who encapsulated my placenta which I also believe has been very helpful with my recovery.
Deb is the best and is committed to her clients above and beyond any expectations. My husband was asking what a doula was and what her role was before the birth. Now he is one of Deb’s biggest fans because he was able to see first hand how amazing her services are and how helpful she was to us.

Deb really helped save my pregnancy with her acupuncture and moxibustion services. I am seeing her once a week to help my pregnancy continue successfully. I saw her for the first time about 2 days after I PPROM’ed at 15 weeks, when the doctor said I needed to terminate, and maybe 2 days after that I resealed! She came to me at my home when I was on strict bed rest and now I go see her at Herbin. Her space is relaxing and she is always very gentle, so I leave feeling a boost of energy and peaceful at the same time. I highly recommend seeing her from the time you find out you’re pregnant. This is my first pregnancy, I’m young, and I would have never thought that I could find myself in a high risk situation. You never know, whether it’s your first or 5^th, if you will have a complication. It is better to be safe than sorry. I will continue to see Deb until I deliver in April, and for any future pregnancies from day 1!

I loved that you spent the time to get to know my health and history, but the quality of your treatment wasn’t dependent on how well I could describe my ailments. Deb Davies is an amazing woman! She recently was a part of my birth team as my Doula and I am ever so grateful for her presence during the birth of my daughter. The moment she arrived in the birthing room, the entire atmosphere of the room changed. She created a calm and relaxing environment with just her presence which helped everyone in the room– including the nursing staff. The nurses said they had never seen such a calm and serene birth. I have been a patient of Deb Davies for almost a year now. My husband and I originally came to her for acupuncture and fertility and became pregnant shortly after our first visit. Once we decided we wanted an unmedicated birth we asked Deb to be our birth doula. Deb has a very warm and nurturing presence that allowed us to feel immediately comfortable with her. Throughout my pregnancy, I visited Deb for prenatal acupuncture. Deb not only soothed the aches and pains of my pregnancy but was also a great listener and support person. When the day came for our little guy to arrive, Deb arrived at our home ready to work. We decided my labor needed some encouragement so she began doing acupuncture to speed things up. I’m so thankful she was able to do this because I quickly progressed to having contractions every 4 minutes consistently. Deb was there every step of the way — prepping us for the transition to our hospital so that labor didn’t slow down, supporting me during every contraction, supporting my husband so that he could confidently be there for me, updating and calming our families in the waiting room and coaching me on how to push when the time came. And that doesn’t even begin to describe all of the support I felt from her on that day! She also repeatedly checked in with us before and after our birth to make sure we were doing ok. I met Deb through her hypnobirthing classes. My husband and I were interested in finding a way to have the most natural birth possible, and friends suggested this method.
Deb’s classes were extremely informative about the entire process of childbirth. Not just the techniques in hypnobirthing, but information on many different cultures and styles of births. One of my favorite things in the classes was that she made me feel like I could handle any twist or turn that came my way during birth. She is extremely warm and easy to talk to, which made the classes and other sessions 100% easier.
As my due date grew nearer and my blood pressure drew higher she was here. We had not hired her as a doula for financial reasons, but cam to my house to give me a treatment to induce labor and lower blood pressure. I had very good results on both, however they still decided i had pre-​eclampsia. I ended up having to be induced early, however the hypnobirthing techniques helped me the entire time! Plus when Deb heard that I was having difficulties she made a house call to help induce with acupuncture, and she helped lower my blood pressure. She had told us that she was on call for 2 births, as a doula, but she still found time to offer to come to the hospital and be our doula, or just administer more acupuncture.
After we brought baby home I was having trouble with milk production, and of course crazy emotional hormones. She once again came to my home and did an amazing treatment that increased my milk by the next day, and immediately made me feel stronger emotionally.
I really can not say enough about Deb as a doula, and acupuncturinst, and a teacher. Most importantly she truly cares about every client, and loves her job. I would recommend her services to anyone!

I recently had my first child at home and Deb was apart of my birth team. She was so invaluable from her prenatal acupuncture treatments to her being the most present and supportive doula for me and my husband. I am so thankful that I met Deb and took her hypnobirthing class. It was informative and a huge help when it came time to give birth. After the class was over she stayed in touch and was a huge help when my iron was low. She gave me acupuncture and an herbal consultation the day I called her, my iron jumped up within just a few weeks! In the hospital she provided acupressure and applied pressure on my back that really felt great. She also used essential oil spray, encouraged me to drink water and stay hydrated and offered to take photos during the birth. She wanted to do anything to make me more comfortable. She came prepared for anything.
She was available during my pregnancy for questions or to schedule acupuncture. Each time I met with her she asked me a lot of great questions so that we could prepare for the birth. She was very interested in knowing my husband and I as a couple and how we would best see our birthing process. I highly value Deb’s support and involvement and would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a doula or for pregnancy and birthing support. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Deb and will always remember the important part she played in the birth of our first child.
