I now have this beautiful enclosure that looks amazing in my place that is UV protected sealed maple wood for my 2 little pets… Thanks Dave!

Dave Kaplan was fabulous to work with, I needed a special sized coffee table made for my husband’s «Man Cave,» he came right out took the measurements made some sketches, made some suggestions and much to my surprise he had a beautiful coffee table ready for us in five days! He was professional, easy to work with and reasonably priced. I’m and Interior Designer and I would definitely recommend Dave Kaplan to anyone that is looking for a really good cabinet or furniture maker.

We hired Dave to lay some really expensive wood laminate on a large table that we’d already had built. He did an absolutely FANTASTIC JOB! He picked it up quickly and finished the job faster than expected. When he delivered the table we couldn’t believe what a great job he had done! It was completed exactly the way we had specified, plus he added some reinforcement to improve upon the already built table. I’d definitely recommend hiring Dave if you’re looking for a talented and conscientious craftsman.

We started with an online image from Houzz and he helped us evolve every detail of the design into something that works perfectly in our space. Outstanding experience from design/​quote, quality, schedule, delivery/​install. We bid this job out to 3 builders and Dave had the best price. Dave Kaplan is fantastic! We wanted to remodel our kitchen cabinets, by just getting new doors and drawers. He did Craftsman work, and was able to beat his time frame. I really wanted it done by Christmas and he was right on target. The other thing I appreciated about David was that he even took on the role of project manager in some ways. I am the women of the house, but manage most things. He contacted the granite installer, painter and tile/​backsplash person to assist in scheduling, and ensuring that everything would go smoothly. The finished project is PERFECT! We feel like we have a new kitchen! I highly recommend him and his fine cabinet making. His price was competitive as well. After getting 3 bids, he came in under the rest and it was not my intention to take the cheapest bid. I just appreciated his professionalism and follow through.

I was looking to have a custom cabinet built for an entertainment center in my condo. I contacted Dave, and we set up a time for him to come out and take a look at my project. Dave was able to take my idea and rough sketch and figure out how to build a cabinet to meet my needs. About a week later, Dave delivered my new custom cabinet. It was exactly what I was hoping for! Dave does great work!

I recently went thru the process of getting some custom cabinets, and I found Dave on Unilocal.I’m a 40 year old, have a nice home and decided it was time to spend a little money on a custom entertainment center. I’m not in the construction business so i had no one that i really knew who could help me. Unilocal was the best i could do. I did my research.
I had several bids from various cabinet makers. All were in the same ball park in terms of price. Dave wasn’t the cheapest, nor was he the most expensive. Let’s face it, if you’re going to spend this kind of money, you don’t want to skimp. I wanted something that would be gorgeous in our home and last for years. Price wasn’t the main factor I used to determine who would get the job or not. Several other factors need to be taken into consideration. Quality, experience, customer service, etc, etc…
Dave’s bid had something special that no one else seemed to have. He was extremely detailed, and his communication was very professional and thorough. He answered all my questions much quicker than anyone else. I took a leap of faith and decided to have Dave come to the house for a formal bid.
When Dave arrived he went over every detail. Took his measurements, gave me his recommendations, and covered the process from top to bottom. Immediately, i knew this guy was GOOD! …which put me at ease.
What i liked most about Dave was his attention to detail. During installation, he had everything covered. No need to come back to finish something off. My project was very detail oriented, and there wasn’t anything that he hadn’t already thought of. At the end of the day, my wife and I drew a picture of what we wanted and Dave delivered it, beyond our expectations.
The quality of the materials is phenomenal. Slow close hinges on all doors and drawers, remote dimmable LED lights recessed into the top. Thick wooden doors that could withstand a bomb blast. And the White Lacquer finish that is flawless.
Saying that Dave is a great cabinet guy is an understatement. What Dave built for me is a one of a kind custom piece of furniture. Thank you Dave! You’re a true craftsman and I’ll be touch when my wife and I get around to building a custom credenza!

I was looking for someone to match my existing custom island and build me a new recycling drawer in place of an undercounter microwave shelf. I usually look on BBB and Unilocal!to find contractors. Dave had high ratings on both so I emailed him. Dave responded immediately to my email and was able to come over that day to look at my shelf. He took measurements, gave me a reasonable quote. A week and a half later, he was able to match my island cabinets exactly and install a functional drawer to house my recycling bins. I Definitely recommend Dave for honest, quality and responsive work.
