The staff were amazing. If I could JUST give the staff five star and the food a one star I would. My bacon was cold and tasted like it was from yesterday’s batch. My eggs were not cooked the way I ordered and my bread was not buttered and was cold. Again, the staff was GREAT… Very attentive, nice, and friendly. Just the food was terrible.

I sat at the bar for about ten minutes with no service. They were not busy but it seems a shift change was taking place. The tender on the way out wouldn’t even look at me and the one coming on was acting too busy to be bothered. Sadly there is no other choice for food in this area! I guess when there is no choice people put up with it.

Worst service ever. I fly out of this airport on a weekly basis; usually out of the gates upstairs. I went to the bar and asked if they would please fill my water bottle for me. Btw– I am 6 months pregnant and clearly showing. After waiting about 5 minutes for anyone to even talk to me someone finally asked what I wanted. She grabs my bottle from me as she’s rolling her eyes and proceeds to fill it with warm water from the sink. As I mentioned before I fly out of here weekly and have been getting my bottle filled at the bar upstairs for months. They always do it cheerfully and willingly, add Ice and give me water from the water spout on the drink device not the dirty sink where they wash dishes. They didn’t seem to be paying much attention to anyone else either. Very very rude.

This place sucks. Horrible coffee cold breakfast. There is no other option in terminal 1. Come on San Diego International get something better in there. Not looking for 4 star gourmet but hoping for something better than a reheated roach coach.

This place has the WORST service EVER!!! The people working at the restaurant are basically kicking you out of the place while you are eating. I have to say that there is nothing that makes me more upset than, someone giving me my receipt when I’m still eating… and FYI I wasn’t even half-way done with my plate. I was stuck at the terminal for 6 hours and I was planning to sit there relax and grab a beer… or two. But after I got my beer, they gave me my check 5min after that… what kind of service is that? I have to admit that I stayed there 1 hour with the check in front of me just to upset them.

The last time I flew through Gates 1 or 2, there weren’t any food options — only places to grab snacks. So I opted for lunch in a different part of the airport. But after I went through security, I noticed this craft brew restaurant. I sat at the bar since I had already eaten and ordered a beer while waiting for my flight home. The service was ok, nothing terrible, but nothing special either. The bartender seemed to be slightly overwhelmed for the lack of crowd, but maybe she was new. They have mostly craft brews(hence — their name) and a few folks came up asking for Coors Light which they don’t have. They also had a full bar in case you are in the mood for something besides beer. I didn’t look at the food menu but what I saw coming out of the kitchen, looked good. The beers that I tried were delicious and I loved that they were serving up mostly local craft beers to San Diego. I even decided on the next San Diego brewery I need to try, the next time I’m in town. The prices were higher than I would have liked, but they are in an airport and since they are the only choice once you get through security, you don’t have a lot of other options. I’m sure I’ll be stopping by next time my flight leaves through either Gate 1 or 2 on my next trip.

This is my second time here, and(luckily?) service has been excellent both times. I was seated at the bar at 6am. I ordered breakfast, and I sat down to enjoy my food and wait for my flight. There were a few rather unpleasant people who passed by to ask the waiter questions, but I was really happy to see that the service was not dependent on people’s temperaments and personalities. When you serve people around the clock, this kind of customer service is the kind that makes you come back. The food was great and very filling, a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it if you are hungry and waiting for a flight. Also, I had a great cup of Joe right there. No fancy Starbucks needed :)

Carolina was the sweetest waitress that listened to our custom order. She brought us an extra plate without asking because we said we were sharing. Good SD beer representation and the place was clean. Steak burrito was spicy, AKA: AMAZING. Thank you Carolina

the Asian hostess was rude and shouldn’t work in the service industry. There are over 9 tables free but she won’t let me sit down with the drink I ordered from the bar. She said«I have 3 flights coming in so you should sit at the bar.» She lost a customer who would’ve had lunch and more drinks for this business by not even offering for me to sit down. Someone fire her please. 13:301-1-2016

I was stuck at Terminal 1 after my flight was delayed, then cancelled, then rebooked for another flight. Being at Gate 1, this is the only restaurant in the terminal. I was there in the morning, so it was not crowded at all and I was seated promptly. They were only serving breakfast, so I ordered an omelette(I think it was the San Diego one w/o jalapenos) with wheat toast. The omelette was good and my meal filled me up. Pricing is very high though; but I was at the airport. It was $ 13 for just the omelette. It came with potatoes, but still; that is a pretty steep price for an average portion and better than average food. Service was very quick and my server checked on me multiple times. I had a good experience here and food was good. The high price point is just something to keep in mind here.

Terrible service. My wife and I were seated by the hostess and not acknowledged by our server for 10 minutes. When we finally got a server to take our order(two waters and two beers), we waited another 10 minutes for our server to bring them. Then we sat for another 40 minutes without our server ever coming back to check on us. It appeared as though the GM and assistant GM were busy hanging an incredibly important sign at the hostess stand listing the hours of operation. So important, in fact, that they refused to acknowledge a woman standing there waiting to be seated. Zero sense of urgency to take care of customers. My wife ordered a salad only because she was really hungry and this place was our only option. We paid $ 14 for a barely mediocre chicken Caesar salad. I get that we’re eating at an airport restaurant, but this place has absolutely NOTHING going for it. Just a bad experience from beginning to end.

The hostess Maria is so rude, OMG, she kept telling customers how she gets in trouble if she doesn’t do this or that, totally unprofessional. One of the waitresses asked her to hand a menu to a customer and she yelled back at her, OMG why dont you do it !!! This lady is in the wrong business, please help her !!!

Service is terrible. Waitress walked by our table, told me to move my bag so she could get past, but didn’t greet the table or take an order. Had to go to the bar to order drinks. Drinks are good.

Ok, this is your only option in this terminal, so suck it up buttercup! Beer is cold. Wine is tasty. Food is marginal. This isn’t a destination restaurant! Face it, you’re just pouring booze into your face to make traveling Southwest less of a terrible experience. Yes you should stop here, no don’t complain!

Well. this is the only choice to at at Terminal 1SAN. But had I known the quality of service, food and crazy prices before, I WOULDHAVERATHERSTAYEDHUNGRY. They were out of the first two beers that I asked for. Cobb Sandwich has such a bad taste and everything is so over priced. I asked the waitress for ketchup twice but dint get any. They are trying to feed people and get them out of here as soonas they can. STAYAWAY!

In an airport you options are limited and typically inflated. This place was one of the only options in the terminal but looked pretty good. Turns our it was, the beers were great except for the prieces. Even those were justa little high. I had the breakfast burrito which was realy inflated but decent and pretty filling. All in all a good stop and a great place to grab a pint pre/post flight.

This place has a lot of 1 star reviews, but it’s the only place with hot food in the entire terminal 1 so they can do what they like. Most of the bad reviews are due to the service. When we arrived, it was mostly empty and our service was quick. However, as were were leaving it had gotten very busy and there was even a line to the front desk! The couple sitting next to us had been waiting for far too long to be met by their waiter and had to flag down a different waitress. We ordered chips and guacamole, the pulled pork sliders, the Italian pizza, and a burger. The onion rings were very good and my pizza was tasty — though the crust was too soft and it was very small. I could’ve easily eaten an another entire pizza. So to summarize, if they are busy, you will get bad service. If they are slow, your food will come quickly! They do have many beers on tap, and overall the food is of decent quality(though expensive) for airport food. It won’t blow you away, but you won’t be that sad because their expensive drinks are they only thing that will get you through your stupid delayed layover.

BEEEER. Being buzz before a flight is so much better… Southwest is purposely always delayed and when they are delayed other businesses like Craft Brews would benefit because who wouldn’t want an expensive ass beer and airport food when you have to wait for an extra 1 – 2 hours? At least they have sculpin here… But for $ 2 – 3 more than normal pricing. This place gets packed though, so get a good seat at the bar. I was so hungry and decided to get their burger. I thought it was decent, surely not worth the price but it does the job. I was still hungry after… All together probably about $ 25 for a beer and burger… premium pricing. With a semi full tummy and a beer, I was able to knock the eff out and landed happy.

This is really the only thing in A Gates 1 – 2, so if you are hungry there is a pre-made snack place and this so no other options. This is only place to have a beer or watch TV if you are here too so they got the monopoly. I was hungry, tired and wanted hot food last time I was here so I decided to come here and chow down on something. I should have stopped at a fast food restaurant beforehand, it would have cost me a least half and probably tasted better. I ordered a cali-chicken burger and it was a really small, forgettable burger. The best part of my order was the fries. All I saw of the burger was the bun and the lettuce, it was that bad. I ordered a beer and the whole thing was over $ 25, and I was still hungry, what is this? Stop it, just don’t come here.

4 of us arrived from a cross-country flight and were in need of dinner while waiting for another person to arrive. Since we had time to kill, we looked at Craft Brews On 30th street and asked: Cold beer? Check. Food? Check. Unfortunately, as is usually the case with airport food, they don’t try very hard to please because they don’t need to. You are frequently held hostage in the terminal waiting for a flight. Craft Brews– on 30th street was no exception and was slightly worse than most. I had a veggie burger which wasn’t very tasty, and everyone else thought their food was terrible. 2 in our group ordered Sam Adams Lager on draft and said it did not taste like a usual Sam Adams and was«off.» I really liked the french fries with sprigs of rosemary mixed in, but if you don’t like rosemary you would hate the fries. If you can avoid this place, please do. But sometimes you don’t have a choice when traveling and just need to eat. And thats how Craft Brews on 30th stays in business…
