City Heights is definitely trying to get cleaned up. It used to be a scarier part of town but has definitely had some improvements done.
Their are quite a few parks to take your kids to and they even have a farmers market on some weekends.
Their is a large police presence since there is a station within City Heights. Near the Police station which faces Fairmount there is also a Public Library open 7 days a week.
City Heights is centrally located with many freeways nearby so it is easy to get around the city from this area.
There are a lot of shops and dining options in the area. There are also many markets geared toward Mexican items which I love!
There are new buildings being built up near University which is really giving this community a better feel.
Overall I do like City Heights and the rent and home prices are just a tad more affordable than other areas.
