Churchill Cigar Lounge

Waked in randomly and immediately looks, taste, smells and feels like a 5-​star establishment. Mark who is the guy behind the counter helps run the family business.
He is super friendly and when he took me to the humidor room, he was very knowledgable from prices to quality to what country where the leaves originate.
Speaking of the humidor room, there’s hundreds of cigars to choose from! What a great selection of flavors!
Not to mention there’s also a full bar with TV’s strung all along the walls and comfy leather couches you can sink in while enjoying a smoke inside or out.
This is a really nice cigar lounge. I highly suggest this spot if you’re a cigar aficionado or even you smoke two cigars a year, even can be a nice first date where you can open up.
I’m not a big cigar smoker but will definitely be back for a good smoke.

Churchill’s is by far the best cigar shop in SD, this includes the location in Old Town. I frequent both locations. The cigar selection is great and the staff is equally as good. Living in South Florida for the past 11 years, and getting pretty spoiled with great selection, I was a little disappointed when I came back and visited a few other cigar lounges. I have officially found my hangout at Churchill’s, no place else comes close!!!

Always checking out cigar lounges and Churchill’s is a good one. Huge walk in humidor, large selection of sticks and decent prices. They also offer a great selection of brews and wine. Comfortable chairs and lots of big screen TVs.

I actually do not smoke cigars but I enjoy going in to visit my friends at Churchill! They scream exceptional customer service. I have never once seen any negative experiences happen at the cigar lounge. Every time I go in there I feel like they are all my family now, and I am sure all of the regulars feel the same way. It is such a cool, relaxing vibe in there. It seems like a man cave but women go in there too! I am always greeted with a hug from Willy, H and Vicky. I usually only go on Tuesdays and/​or Thursdays so I don’t get to see Mark but he is a sweetheart from when I have seen him. I really appreciate how kind and knowledgeable the staff is and I love my family at Churchill Cigar Lounge!

Come here for a great selection of cigars, a choice array of beers, wine and port. Your host is friendly, knowledgable and accomodating.
Very comfortable lounge with good ventelation and plenty screens for the game of your choice.

What a great place to go after a long day just to sit back and relax. They have an incredible humidor with a vast selection of cigars. Although there is no «hard» liquor, you will have a great choice of beer and wine. The host, Mark, made some excellent recommendations and was very down to earth. I would highly recommend this fine establishment.

Best cigar lounge in San Diego & I’ve been to them all. The staff, Mark especially is awesome. Great selection of cigars, beer & wine. I frequent this spot just never got around to leaving a review.

Possibly one of the most comprehensive humidors you will ever find. Likely they will have what you want but if not, the Tobacconists here know their stuff so if you have an idea of what you might like they will help you find something tasty. Often the best beers from San Diego are on tap here and they will also have a range of brews from across the country and a top selection of Belgians in the bottle. Lastly, if you want good conversation you can generally get it without the the blow hard opinions you can find in some cigar joints. Enjoy.

Great wifi-​friendly smoke lounge with a large selection of not only quality (but pricey) cigars but also beer and wine. You can just relax here and watch the 2 big TV screens with a beer. The deli next door will also hand deliver any meals directly to you.

20 taps and huge wine selction, over 500 choices in cigars…6 nice size LCD… nice man cave away from the man cave.

Great looking lounge, lots of selection with a large humidor and loaded bar. The prices are higher than normal by a dollar or two a stick and they charged me three bucks for a water. All in all a nice stop

This is a great place all around… Do I like the fact that California charges crazy taxes compared to Arizona??? NO. However, you can come here and have a good beer or glass if wine with your cigar and the wifi works great… There are 5 TVS and it has a giant walkin humidor … The service is great and the chairs are comfortable … The gentleman behind the counter shook my hand the first time we met then the next time I walked in he called me by name… Pretty dang impressive. U certainly felt welcomed back!!!

Went here earlier this year. Had a good time. It can be a little intimidating to a new smoker. The bartender was very helpful. It was pretty crowded so he was really busy. He had us wait in the humidor and look around. WIthin a few minutes he was in there with us, giving suggestions and explaning things (i’m a newbie).
I didn’t have any drinks so I can’t comment on that.
The environment was cool. Plenty of sports on the TVs. There were people on their laptops, some watching the game, some holding conversations. It can get a bit loud when it gets busy, but my friend and I never had to raise our voices to hear each other.
For sure adding to my lineup of cigar places.

They just more than tripled their selection of beers on tap. That’s just great … like I needed more reasons to come here. Add to that their great selection of cigars (best I have found so far in San Diego), a few decent wines (not ridiculously overpriced), and chairs so cozy you want them in your living room and you can see why this place can easily be dubbed «a spa for men».
The family that runs this place are warm and friendly and you always are made feel very welcome. They are usually very good at recommending cigars based on your preferences.
Another thing I should mention is the people who tend to come here all share the same great desire to relax and enjoy the day/​evening. So there is never a «bar scene» … no pick-​up scene, ‘pissing-​contests’, or ‘douchbaggery’.
Come to this place if you like cigars and need o to relax or just slow down for a bit.

OK, so this is currently my go-​to place to enjoy a cigar. They’ve got a very friendly, knowledgeable staff and a well stocked, walk-​in humidor with pretty much any cigar you could want.
One thing I really dig about this place is their beer and cigar deal for $ 9.95. You can choose one of their house brand cigars and get a glass of their house beer for ten bucks. You can’t really beat that with a stick.
They always have several flat screen TVs going with sports and comfy chairs to sit in. And free wi-​fi to boot!
The one bummer is that they don’t sell food. Luckily there’s a 24 hour mexican joint a couple of doors down. They also only serve beer and wine so no hard liquor. Just a heads up!
All in all, it’s a great place. I wish they stayed open later.

Wow. The humidor is HUGE! Not to mention very well stocked. They have my 2 favorites in stock (Liga Privada t52 and the San Lotano Oval). Selection is so vast I can’t do justice to it by listing them all. Prices are decent. Not great, but considering the selection and the ability to sit and enjoy the cigar I have no problem paying a couple bucks a stick more. Totally worth it of you’re going to smoke it there.
Beer and wine available and again excellent selection. If you get a cigar any of the staff (I talked with H) will help you pair it with a beverage of your choice. They also have bottled root beer (Hanks, my personal fav) and Coke along with San Peligrino. Good choices all the way around.
Final thoughts:
The seats are really comfy like they should be in a cigar lounge, there’s TV’s with all sorts of assorted sporting events on at all times (and if it’s too much noise they’ll mute the TV no problem), and the whole staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. I seriously wish I lived closer, I’d be here a couple times a week easily. Well done Churchill’s. 5 stars

I went here last night to study of all things…
And the recommendation for a cigar that was mild and slightly sweet was well made.
The people there [like the people at their old town location] were all in good spirits and humor.
All in all it was a great experience and I will go back especially since it’s only about 5 miles from my place so the proximity is definitely great. They have a great selection of beer and wine on site as well.
And the internet connectivity there was very adequate as well.

With a complete interior remodel, the former Excalibur Cigar Longe has transformed into Churchill Cigar Lounge. The comfy leather chairs, beautiful décor, and huge cigar selection has helped them to earn Diamond Crown Lounge status and there’s only 56 or so of those in the country.
You’re going to be blown away by the cigar selection. The large walk in humidor probably has $ 500,000 worth of inventory. If you can’t find something you like, then you aren’t looking. The prices are on the high side of what I’ve seen at other places, but you’re getting quality.
The bar offers lots of specialty beers, wine, sherry, and ports. There’s a few restaurants next door and you can bring back your meal to enjoy at Churchill’s. You can watch the game on the flat screens, chill with friends, and enjoy a smoke. We spent 10 hours there on a Saturday!
The patrons are friendly and cool. The service is great. You’re not going to be disappointed.
