Casual Male XL

So, I have a giant boyfriend.
He’s 6 foot 10 inches and about 300 lbs of all that is man, and that doesn’t even take his glorious beard into account, or his size 17 feet.
Needless to say, he is a hard gentleman to buy a pair of pants for. Or shirts, or belts, or socks even. He can’t just wander into the nearest mall and snag an outfit or a replacement if he forgets something on vacation. Poor ginormous honey.
We normally shop online for all his attire or get things custom made, but this shop actually has basics that fit him-​hurrah! General Big and Tall stores actually don’t usually carry things in Tall sizes, it’s always like quadruple extra large, and what my man needs is the length of the clothes and long inseams and arms.
I’ve found him fitting casual wear here, and some decent work clothes and accessories (belts, socks in large sizes, etc) and the help is very friendly onsite. They don’t carry some of the nicer brands you can find online-​but directed me to their new Destination XL sister store that does.
My only complaints are that it’s a little pricey-​very much supply and demand. I know from experience when a tall dude finds something that fits well he’ll pay whatever he has to for it. Also the lack of 36 inseams and larger in a lot of brands, and that there is limited brands that carry 2XLT but at least there is some!
It’s great to have somewhere to shop that’s not a frustration!

Drove by yesterday and it looked empty. Maybe they moved.

The way I see it is in terms of selection, this location is a Ralphs and the Escondido location is a 7 – 11. The husband is a BIG guy so the only place he can really shop for his 3XLT self is here. We came here for the Black Friday sale and this place was a friggin’ ghost town. Perfect. Husband’s favorite jeans were BOGO and nerd shirts were $ 30. Clearance rack was pretty picked clean so we didn’t get anything there. The only thing I don’t like is that their signature brand, Harbor Bay, doesn’t seem to hold up too well in the washing machine, so we need blow quite a bit of cash on just one decent shirt for him. Such is the life of the big and tall. The Nautica shirts do hold up great, which is probably what he’ll be getting for his birthday. The customer service here is pretty good, too.

2 Stars for Poor Counter Service at Midway Casual Male:
I’ve been there 3 times in the last few weeks, and there is one particular Counter Sales Clerk that, although young, appears to have had a horrible childhood!
Kidding aside, Casual Male must NOT be training their associates in customer service. This clerk girl, on all 3 occasions, did not smile, say thank you, or at all act happy that I spent hundreds of dollars. Seriously, the third time I was there I said as little as possible as an «experiment», and the only thing she said was, «swipe your card» the whole 5 minutes I was standing there…
I think I’ll try the El Cajon store next time! It’s worth the drive to be treated as if, perhaps, just may be, Casual Male is happy for the business!

This place is overall wonderful. The staff were very nice, but left you alone. They also seemed to understand, so to speak. No condescension, because they were fighting the same size battle as us.
The selection is pretty good. I’m only a 2X, and that size was a bit hard to find, but size 40 pants were everywhere! It was great.
This place is VERY expensive. That’s the only big bummer. Otherwise, it’s a very unique, pleasant place.

Ok it’s time Youve temporarily lost the battle of the bulge where to go? Well I can recommend casual male. Their pants start at size fourty and go up from there. They have a good selection price isn’t cheap but at least they have it. The reason I give it a three instead of four. Or five is because although they have friendly service they aren’t too helpful when it comes to picking out stuf. So if your expecting something like a Nordstrom service you will be disappointed. They will show you where items are and they will ring u up, that’s about it.
Would I go back? Yes because where else can you get a pair of size 44 dress slacks?

Being the size of a NFL offensive lineman does have its advantages and disadvantages. One of those disadvantages is not always being able to find my size in the stores, which generally isnt always a problem, but for some reason I cant never seem find a belt that comfortably fits my waist when I go to the mall… maybe its time to go on a diet! lol
Casual Male Big & Tall came to my rescue with a full stock of both work and dress belts in a variety of plus sizes. They also sell shirts, shorts, pants, etc. in all the «big boy sizes».
The only negative aspect to this store is that they tend to be a bit pricey on thier goods. This is a specialty store after all, so no surprise there.
No need to worry if your a big man… your size is always in stock at Casual Male Big & Tall!

Shopping Retail is a nightmare when you are overweight. I have been a big guy for a long time in my life and it’s embarrassing and shameful when you go to a mall or a store and know that NOTHING in that store will fit you. You can always lose weight, but your self confidence and body image really takes a hit when you cannot just pop into the store and buy a shirt and know it will fit.
Casual Male Big & Tall is a store MADE for big guys. I love shopping here because I can find fun and stylish t-​shirts with band logos. Name brands from Nike and Reebok and NFL. And everything is in LARGE sizes. I never feel bad when I come into this store. They even sell shoes for men with Basketball player size feet. You can find everything from boxers and underwear, to shoes, sport coats, t-​shirts, cologne, belts, and dress shirts. The only thing they don’t sell is workpants like Dickies. I have been in there a few times when plus size men come in looking for those and they just don’t carry them. But you can find everything else to feel normal and look nice at work, at play or out on the town.
