Drove all the way from fashion valley to eat here on Father’s Day (8:30pm) we get there before and surprise! (The kitchen it’s close cause they ran out of food!??
And i called before and the person I talked to on the phone didn’t mention any of that !!? Seriously ! Great customer service guys !! At least let people know.

Oops a little late lol but every time i go to cali its great service, clean, and roomy! Now today for fathers day my family and i took my dad for lunch and it was a great choice plus really close to the area we live at. Not only because its bear by i go constantly but because of the environment, food, and quality of the food and service. Today was the first time i ever had MARIA serve us and attend our needs and she did beyond the typical service. Its always good but she made sure to make me feel comfortable for a picky order today lol, she totally understood my point of view as a customer putting herself in my shoes, she would want to get what she specifically order because we are paying for it. I felt a bit troubled to tell her this crazy idea of my order lol but due to her sitting down and really listening made me feel more then comfortable to order it!

Been here with a couple of buddy’s for some drinks. They have good drink specials. I wasn’t hungry but I had a little bit of my friends appetizers. They were on hit. The bar tenders a guy and a couple of girls were very cool. This was the first time
The second time service was great. I ordered a brisket nachos. They were bomb. IPA’s are nice and cold too.
So now I’ve been there four times. With kids and wife they love it. My kids liked everything they tried out so have we.
The main reason why I have came back. Is customer service. The food and beers are big plus too. I recommend this place. Good atmosphere, good beer good, good food.

Cali Comfort provides for all people and what you go seeking you will find with their exemplary service that is consistent! Anything you order on the menu is suited to please your palate without question! Sometimes it bothers me that people knit pick without knowing all the facts or simply knit pick because it’s in their character to. If you have a problem, there is nothing they won’t do to fix the problem and make it better for you. When I began to frequent this establishment and got to know the the owners, I found quickly they are customer friendly; and the retention of their customers is a high priority! Cali Comfort is a family community, with high values, morales, and with caring and great compassion as they rally behind causes. I will continue to patronize Cali Comfort for years to come. And if you have a suggestion, simply tell them and I promise they will consider it and take it under advisement. With any good thing going, there can always be room to make things better as you grow; and they are not too proud to acknowledge this! Show yourself friendly to my friends and help keep this place on the map as being a #1 spot to come and eat, fellowship, have a party or simply watch sports and relax!

One of the best BBQ places in San Diego. The staff is great and the food is awesome. The pulled pork and brisket are both great!

Very delicious southern comfort food. Huge portions and very tender meat. Any of the bbq you can order is absolutely delicious. Great cornbread as well and many delicious sides. Overall a very delicious place to eat.

Ok this is my first visit here and it was great! Or server’s name is Chris. Nice young man. The owner came over and introduced his self to me and my husband. Great food lots to choise from, friendly people like my Hawaii people! That’s where I’m from. Lots of room inside and out. I had the chicken nachos and boneless chicken, my husband had chicken wings and waffles. Great food! We will be back.

We stopped into Cali Comfort for lunch, and greatly to my surprise we were greeted by an awesome server named Ashley K. Ashley seemed to know the menu well, and her recommendations for appetizers and drinks really helped boost our dining experience. Ashley was attentive to our needs and without «over doing it». She made sure our food was quickly and hot… the ribs and beans were delicious and lastly the Wicked Peach Cobbler served with vanilla ice cream was the perfect way to enjoy our Sunday afternoon.
I must say that as a Spring Valley resident, I will be back again and hopefully Ashley will be our server. What an awesome experience here at Cali Comfort!

Adriana was wonderful in greeting us and guiding us with the menu. The place was full, so we decided to take it to go. We got military discount and only had to wait about 10 minutes for our food. She showed us our food before walking out to make sure we got everything we ordered. As soon as we got home, everything was delicious! I got the pulled pork sandwich, potato salad and Mac n cheese. The sandwich was wonderful and the Mac n cheese was legit, not like what you order from KFC or other places. My husband got a full rack of ribs, since he is a picky eater we got it without sauce and he was very happy how it was cooked. The atmosphere is very calm although it was busy. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were happy customers. I definitely want to come back.

Went here for a friends birthday part last Friday and let me just say this is the best bbq place I have ever been to in San Diego. The staff are really friendly and the food it 10 stars all the way.
Also this place has a very chill atmosphere that almost makes you feel like your at home grilling with the family.

Been here a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ wings, tri tip, wedding baked beans, and the jalapeño cornbread muffins.
Sports bar atmosphere with slow service, especially on busy nights, but decent food!

One week ago I was on the south side go Kansas City having fantastic bbq. While this place wasn’t to that level it was darn close. I’ve got to get back and try Fish Bowl Friday.

My friend took me here for the first time, it is one of her favorite places to eat.
The location is a bit out of the way in a run down area of Spring Valley. They have their own dirt parking lot. It has a sports bar type atmosphere. They even have a banquet room you can rent for events, and I believe they cater, too.
My kid needs to sit in a booster seat, and unfortunately the booth seat I was in was so uneven and worn down from use that the booster seat would not sit straight, and so my kid had to lean against me the whole time.
I got the tri tip sandwich, which came with their wonderful «wedding beans». It was all very good. Service was excellent, the server was eager to please, and the hostess was very friendly too. I will definitely be back.

Holy smokin BBQ!!! I was literally mouth watering when I smell it in the parking lot. A great alternative to Phils bbq in my opinion. A must visit when you’re in Spring Valley area and no long lines awesome!!!
I ordered pork ribs half rack wow large portion and it was absolutely delicious ! Can’t finish it. It was Super tender and juicy fall off the bone loved it !!! Well seasoned smoky flavored. The plate comes with wedding baked beans and jalapeño cornbread my fave! and $ 1.00 more I add potato salad yum!
Kiddos ordered chicken tenders it was okay. Hubby had pulled pork Sammie and it was heavenly delish.
We also shared the peach cobbler OMG it was amazing heavenly delish ! To die for! Must order !
Great spot for bbq! Highly recommend this place. Legit! Overall, fun place great atmosphere for friends and family and dogs friendly.
The only negative is parking space limited but you can park across the street.

My friend got the BBQ and is just going to throw it out there that is no COOPS! He said it was lacking flavor and he felt that he had to add sauce to make it enjoyable.
Parking here is awesome, it is kind of in the ghetto and there is always a wait here it seems.
I had the veggie burger and i can not complain, that thing is amazing. My fries were a little cold but still…
The happy hour beer special is amazing and my friends got the cali creamin: They loved it and say it is the best beer that has ever been made.
This place is so SPORTS FEVER — Its a little rough inside, tv’s everywhere, games on everywhere, games to play, its loud, and casual. Defiantly a good vibe and just a place to go if you want to watch a game and have a fun environment. They will have your sports game on trust me!
The service was great — we were taken care of. The menu has a lot to choose from. The pricing is also reasonable and I was not dissapointed by any means. The peach cobber dessert was tasty just not enough ice cream! Every time I come here I am always sad at the small scoop serving of ice cream that is received; hook a girl up will ya!

Hands down the absolute best BBQ we have had since we moved here from Texas. Everything is slow cooked for hours in a smoker so that its tender, juicy, and bursting with southern comfort flavor. Onions rings were delicious too.
The ribs were falling off the bone soft. The brisket was amazing! We will definitely come back. The kids focused on coloring their pictures for a coloring contest. The hostess will pick her favorite picture each week, and winner will get a free kids meal.
Maria was our server, who was super nice and provided fast service with a smile :) we will definitely come back again for more.

4 ½ stars. Came in for lunch on a weekday after being in the area and viewing on Unilocal.Located in a partially residential and in a commercial area, I was taken back of the location. In the rear there was what looked like a hotel.
Upon entering the place I was happy to see a sports bar atmosphere with bar and dining room where I greeted immediately. The menu has a wide variety of items but when my friendly waitress said the BBQ was smoked I immediately went for the ½ of bbq chicken with mac and cheese, baked beans and jalapeño corn bread muffin. The chicken was moist & tender and all my sides were spot on yummy.
Service and friendliness by all the employees was superb. Lesson learned — don’t judge a restaurant by its cover!

This place is pretty expensive and the food wasn’t that great. Not to mention when we got there it took a whole five minuets for them to even greet us. The woman at the front seemed so frustrated. All in all I’d say we didn’t enjoy this place.

All I gotta say is brisket Benedict…(Bomb) OK I got a little bit more to say. All around good food. Great place to bring the family Saturday or Sunday morning or with the fellas to watch the game or if you like getting the party on check it out at night. Very fun place with good food good service

I love good BBQ and this place delivered. We’ve been there lots of times and everything from the sandwiches to the brisket plate is good. I believe it’s better then Phil’s and less of a line.
Service is great and you don’t leave hungry. It’s why we keep coming back.

This is the second time I’ve come here. This time I ordered dinner to go. This place gets another 5 stars hands down they are amazing ! Besides the food being so good it’s the customer service that is just beyond expectations. BOTH Alicia’s were amazing from answering the phone, placing my order, having it ready, and they went through the order to ensure everything was right. They are amazing I can’t say it enough. You can be having the worst day, but once you step in here you have no choice but to smile. Keep it up everyone !

I’m not even a big Bbq fan but this place was legit on almost all fronts. I got the ½ rack of ribs and it was HUGE! Came with really good sides too — I picked cole slaw and beans. Had to pay a dollar for an extra side. Kinda annoying but it’s okay. Overall very good.
The ribs were tender and the bbq sauce was delicious. They added just enough and gave a extra cup of it in case you wanted more.
It was Monday so I got a special $ 3 bacon wrapped jalapeño popper. Super delicious! Although I think $ 3 for one is a little pricey.
The place needs more bathrooms. It’s sizeable but only has a few. Can’t imagine the lines when there’s a game in.
My friend got the tri tip salad and was very satisfied with it too.
Great place to bring the family or friends. Big TVs to watch sports too. Big gulls and chargers spot.

This place is amazing. Being from Texas I haven’t found a good place out here for BBQ let alone a place that has brisket. The food was absolutely tremendous! Ashley King was our server and she was super sweet and very hospitable. We will definitely be coming back! Thank y’all for an wonderful experience!

Best barbeque I’ve had in California. I like Phil’s, but Cali Comfort is better, albeit a different animal. Much more southern style, in my opinion.
You must try the wedding beans and Jalapeño cornbread.

Great BBQ spot and it’s in Spring Valley, I think this place will surely grow beyond the armpit which we call Spring Valley, a place where I have spent a portion of my existence, oh how I loathe thee Spring Valley Armpit. Anyhow I had the Tri Tip with corn bread, Cole slaw and wedding beans. Cali Comfort was not bad at all.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon with a couple of friends who live near area. it was really crowded despite the rain and they had someone have to direct us to specific parking spaces which I thought was nice. We literally waited 5 minutes to be seated at a booth in the back. Btw the booths are huge and can fit like 4 people on one side lol
Inside was pretty loud as there is a full bar. but veeery kid friendly!!! They give the kids literally a piece of paper and two crayons to color with which is fine but seemed like a huge after thought to me. Even though my child is only 16 months, the four year old that was with us did not enjoy the crayons or piece of paper at all. but her mood was completely turned around when she ended up winning a stuffed animal on her first try from one of those claw machines that sucks up all of your quarters.
Anyways on to the food!!! We had ordered the Spring Valley sampler plate which was huge!!! For the price of $ 15.99 you are definitely getting your money’s worth. There were onion rings, tater tots, 2 chicken strips, 2 potato skins, 3 cheese quesadilla pieces, 2 mini burgers, and a bunch of fried jalapeños!!! I really enjoyed this sampler platter. Wish I could’ve taken a picture of it but we were so hungry my family of 3 devoured it in less than 5 mins lol.
We also ordered the barbecue combo plate with our choices being the half rack of pork ribs and the tri tip meat. For $ 22.99 I honestly expected a lot more tri tip meat there was literally three pieces. I’m only complaining because their tri tip was reaaaally good that I really wish they had put more. The ribs were just alright to me. I’m not huge on barbecue sauce and theirs was a tad bit on the sweet tangy side of weirdness. The meat was really tender it literally fell right off the bone which is a big deal in the pork rib world. I just couldn’t get over the sauce for some reason. Soooo definitely would go with the tri tip!!! Also it comes with fries and we chose mac and cheese for an extra dollar. The mac and cheese looked gross and like something literally right out of a kraft box, but in all honestly it actually tasted pretty good and not like fake mac and cheese at all!!! I was shocked. French fries were on point but it’s pretty hard to mess up french fries.
Overall I give this entire meal a solid B+ as it had potential to be so much better. If I ever do go back I will be ordering a pound of tri tip for myself. Literally. Oh and they DO offer a military discount which is nice cause our meal ended up being less than 40 bucks in total.

I had a very disappointing first time here.
The drinks were great and well priced and the staff was nice (except for the server who stepped on my foot when I was sitting in the bar area. how do you manage that??)
Anyway, the food was less than stellar. We had to wait a while for our server to take our order as we were seated in a room with a large party and they were being super demanding.
We had just driven from Los Angeles and I was starving, my boyfriend and I decided to order wings (Salt and Vinegar and BBQ). I informed the server that this would be our appetitzer and he confirmed that this would be out before our main course.
Immediately after he took our order I started sneezing a lot. I brushed this off but then I started feeling like my allergies were acting up. I thought it was odd as we were waiting in the bar area for over a half hour and I was fine. And then literally a minute later ALL of our food came. Appetizers and all. This irked me as the wings weren’t cheap and the server REPEATED I wanted them before. I said nothing because well, we were starving. And then I started having a BAD allergy attack and noticed dust in that room. I was sitting below the TV so I imagine there was even more dust there. I was miserable. Didn’t enjoy my food and just wanted to get the heck outta there. It took awhile for the check, and my symptoms got worse. It ruined my whole trip and I had to head back home. :(

Meats were succulent and tender, sides were DELICIOUS (in loveeeeee with their baked beans!) If you’re like me (a French Fry aficionado) I was disappointed with their shoestring fries! Not really my favorite cut for a French Fry–
Got the Brisket plate and was underwhelmed… For $ 14.99 I got 3 small portions of brisket, 2 small sides, a niblet of cornbread (they put jalapenos in theirs, so it may be a bit spicy for some people!) So I was definitely SADDENED for the food that I received for the price that was paid!!!

I finally made it out to this restaurant two days ago on a Friday night around 7pm. I was expecting the wait to be seated to be a long one but when I gave the hostess my name she said «you’ll be seated in about 10 – 15 minutes». She was very accurate with that estimation since we were seated closer to the 10 minute mark. Once we were seated we were greeted by our waitress Maria who did a great job of suggesting what to get for dinner for both me and my date. She even brought out some additional spicy BBQ sauce for me to put on my brisket.
The food ended up being just as good as the service was. It came out so quickly! I got the brisket plate that came with jalepeno corn bread, baked beans (that had pulled pork and deliciousness in them), and onion rings. Their onion rings were «ok». Everything else about the meal was great! They also had a pretty decent selection of craft beer. My girlfriend ended up getting the pulled pork plate. It was great! I would have definitely put that meat inside of a sandwich though.
All in all, this place is pretty darn good. I’ll definitely end up coming back here again.

I’ve got here with without my son as a couple and as a family the food here is way above average and the service is as well. I like to try the sampler and the bottle cap jalapenos are quite interesting cuz I haven’t seen those anywhere else.
The food and sandwiches and meats are very nicely cooked you can tell that the chef takes pride and their BBQ food. I would call this place more of a barbecue California style then a bar although depending on what you’re there for they have the bar area and they have the family area as well which is great cuz it has nice versatility. I’ve gone on multiple occasions and the service is always fantastic I watch the World Cup there last year and the bar was very crowded but my wife and I were able to grab the table near the TV and the back of the bar and the service kept coming during the whole match.

Cali Comfort is centrally located in Spring Valley and appears to be a local’s favorite for BBQ and local draft beer. I visited twice this past month and I experienced attentive service while watching sports in a welcoming atmosphere. I’m not a Chargers fan, but this is a Charger proud bar.
I tried the ribs, chicken, and wings. Local barbecue aficionados will be offended but I wasn’t impressed with the sinature ribs. They were a overcooked and dry but everything else was good. The wedding beans and Jalepeño corn bread are ridiculously good.
Good food, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices!

If you are a large party you should definitely get the Tailgaters BBQ feast! Feeds 5 people for $ 60? Great deal.
Their breakfasts on the weekend are great too! Love the eggs Benedict and omelettes.
They always have sports on the TV, reasonably priced. I love this place. I only hope they can get a bigger space so more people can go and park easily!

My favorite BBQ place in San Diego. Been to several places and none comes close to Cali Comfort. Try to get here at least 2x a month. The service is great, pleasant and very helpful.

from start to finish our first visit to Cali. Comfort BBQ was an extremely satisfying dining experience. whoever’s running this place is getting it right! we will return.
pulling in to the parking lot we noticed security guards who upon asking about handicap parking directed us to a nearby, open space.
once inside we were graciously greeted and welcomed by host staff who took the time to listen to our reasons for choosing this establishment (nfl wild card game) and that it was our first time there. they escorted us to a huge booth where we could easily see the game, presented menus, told of yummy appetizers, & made note of a not-​to-​be-​missed dessert. she came by our table later in the evening to see how we were doing. nice touch!
moments later our server appeared, introduced herself & got us started with warm beverages. once made aware we were there to dine AND watch the game the pace was set. at no time throughout the rest of the evening did we feel rushed. even a needed server change was handled professionally and without glitch. both servers were knowledgeable of the menu, personable, and fully accommodating with ease. a welcomed professionalism missing in so many other places we’ve tried.
as for the food … whoever’s working that kitchen has been touched by the food gods. each dish uniquely flavorful, cooked to perfection, & plated with style and visual appeal. the brisket and county fair sandwich were divine. glad I asked about the wedding beans. and the hostess was right. the peach cobbler was awesome!
the other tables in the room were filled with same team fans making for a delightful and unexpected comradery throughout the game.
if there were more stars available Cali Comfort BBQ would get ‘em all.

I love bbq. But, i wasnt all impressed. Maybe because I only had the tri tips. I expected more of a tri tip steak. This version was more like cut up thin slices of beef to make it in a pepper steak version or beef broccli version. It wasnt bad. Just wasnt the version of tri tip i prefer. I love rib tips its my fav. Altho, the trip tip here was a little dry. It was falling off the bone and its were the soft rib tip bone/​cardalidge was soft and edible. The menu state the ribs cook for 14 hours. But to me the rib tips were dryer then i expected. The beans were good. I do like that there was pork in it.
I reccommend the fish bowls here. Its pricey, but its also alot of alc. Gotta love the rubber duckeys and that u can keep it with ur bowl.
I like it here. Its low key. A hole in the wall laid back restaurant/​dive bar. Bbq wise ive had better. But all in all if u like chill places this is it.

First, I will say that Cali Comfort’s food blows Phil’s BBQ WAY out of the water. The sauce, the taste, everything is 10x better. Now that I’ve had Cali Comfort, I cannot even begin to fathom why there are lines outside of Phil’s every night. Do yourself a fave and GO TO CALI COMFORT!!!
My group had Cali Comfort cater our event in the on-​ice suite at the San Diego Gulls game last night. We we arrived, the food was set up and ready to go. There were two guys who did a fantastic job making sure we had what we needed throughout the night, they kept the food warm and ready to eat, and they even boxed up the leftovers for us at the end.
The owner of Cali Comfort, Shawn, has a great business and excellent customer service. This is a great establishment and I highly recommend using it for catering and/​or just dining out. I will definitely be going here and using the catering services again!!!

Let me tell you! This place is better than Phil’s BBQ in my opinion.
They let you call in to place your name for the wait and their estimated time frame for wait is always accurate.
The waitresses all seem to love their job and are very knowledgable about their items that they serve.
I always order the full rack of ribs to share amongst three people and a normal size order of the brisket meal. It’s always good and on point! The house barbecue sauce is amazing!
I usually dislike eating beans but the beans that come with the sides are so brilliant! I believe they are called wedding beans. You can tell their ingredient for their jalapeño corn bread was thought up with out of love! It’s so moist and delicious! I think I prefer these cornbread over red lobsters biscuits! That’s how good it is.

We went back to Cali comfort last night and it was a much better experience from the moment we walked in! Rob was our server and he was great! Super attentive, our drinks were never empty, and he checked on us often to see of we needed anything and asking how the food was. He rocks!
It was so nice to see some familiar faces in there! :) That is definitely one of my big reasons for loving this place, getting to know the servers and it feels like such a friendly atmosphere! The food was delicious! The brisket was very flavorful and juicy, I loved it this time! It was great seeing Shawn too, friendly guy as always! I do love this place and glad to see that things were indeed more back to normal from what our last visit was. Way to go Cali!

We came here for a relatively late dinner on a Friday night and it was super busy! We managed to snap the last parking spot in the lot and waited about 20 minutes for a table for 2.
It’s got a very sports bar feel and being that it was our first time there I really wanted to order a fish bowl of sangria. It’s literally a giant cocktail in a fish bowl. The drink was ok but take it from me, you probably shouldn’t order it for just 2 people. It’s a lot of liquid.
I tried a sampler of most of the different BBQ’d meats and with the exception of the wedding beans (excellent!) I thought everything was just ok. From the baby back ribs to the pulled pork to the tri tip to the brisket, everything was average but not exceptional. I don’t think it’s on the same level as Phils or Lucilles. But maybe it was an off night as it was late and the tri tip did come out kind of cold.
Overall, they have a good sized bar and it seems like a fun place. There’s also some items on the menu which caught my attention like the southern mac & cheese that I’d come back to try.
As a side note I thought our server was pretty cool and helpful. It was honest and kept it real with his recommendations.

Cali Comfort is doing it right. Beer selection wasn’t appealing to me until I saw my favorite at the bottom, which was surprising. 22oz Ballast Point IPA grapefruit Sculpins on tap are magic. Really wanted to try their sampler, but sounded like too much food for me. Went with the brisket plate substituting the beans for mac & cheese.
Brisket is good. Big ass serving. Wish there was more smoke flavor, but fires off on everything else you look for in good brisket. Sauce is a little more sweet for my taste, but good. Would love to see them offer a spicy BBQ sauce. Mac & cheese was creamy and decadent with a nice subtle onion after taste. Jalapeño cornbread is bad ass and was a shocker being much better than anticipated. I’ve lived in the south for awhile and this is cornbread certified. Shoestring fries are OK, but I’d rather have waffle or steak fries that would complement this dish much better. Appreciated the refreshing slice of watermelon garnish on the side.
They have a lot of people working here and kill it on customer service. This is a very good BBQ spot. I’ll take Cali Comfort over Phil’s any day of the week. Fun time. Bartenders hustle and sweet as hell. If you don’t care for this place, we’re not on the same level.

First of all, sub par customer service from the greeting once you walk in to the service from our waiter. The waitress just stared at us in silence then greeted us. He forgot to put in my order so I waited for about five to ten minutes for my food while my family was already finished with their orders. Constantly, the waiter is saying «your food will be out any minute now… Your fishbowl will be ready any minute…» Still no food or fishbowl until ten minutes later.
And they messed up my boyfriends order when he got the country fried steak since he ordered French fries and toast, but gave him regular potatoes and forgot his wheat toast bread. My boyfriend did like the country fried steak, he said the gravy was rich in flavor so I’ll give them that.
We tried the fish bowl and it was $ 29.99 for a plastic fish bowl that you can’t even keep and for weak alcohol filled with A LOT of ice. NOT WORTH IT. At least you can keep the cheap rubber duck…
I ordered the sunrise combo and it came with two eggs, your choice of meat (I got the slow pulled pork with BBQ sauce of the side), hash browns or fries, and a side of toast. Pulled pork was dry; I guess they just put a lot of the BBQ sauce on it so you can’t tell how dry it is. Fortunately, since I got it on the side I could tell how dry my meat was. I didn’t want to send my food back since I was starving and we all know how the restaurant world is… (**Spits on customers food because of a complaint)
Overall, I thought this place would be good because of all the positive ratings on Unilocal.However, we were sadly disappointed.

Went here on a Sunday evening with the family, plenty of open tables, we were able to be seated right away…
We were greeted right away, and everyone working seemed to have a good attitude. Our server was nice and friendly. We sat at our booth and ordered…
Kids mac&cheese– a pretty large serving, if your kids are like toddler/​kinder age, they can share one… I thought the bacon crumbles on top tasted so, so goooooood, a nice little touch. But my kids weren’t as fond of it.
Husband and I both ordered tri tip… Some pieces were a bit chewy, but majority was tender and flavorful…
The sides…
Potato salad– large chunks of potato, celery, Etc. Tasted fresh and not overly mayo’d out.
Cole slaw– good, standard.
Jalapeño cornbread– was delicious. I love me some cornbread. I would have loved corn bread without jalapeño though, cuz I’m a light weight with heat, but I don’t think it’s an option.
The baked beans– were the best thing ever… So sweet. Really, our favorite side of the night…
Fresh baked biscuit– large, warm, and fluffy… Good with some butter!
THUMBS UP for this casual family friendly, casual BBQ place… Delicious food!

Came to Cali Comfort after my oil change. I have heard great reviews from one of my co workers who loves bbq.
This location is right off of Bancroft Ave off the 94 freeway going east. It was easy to find. As we walk in, the lady asks us for how many and asks my name. I told her for 3 and said my name is «Mary» which is my nickname. I never go by my full name. We waited about 10 minutes. They weren’t even that busy. I was hungry and ready to eat breakfast!
We got seated at a table with higher chairs. Not your normal to the ground chairs. I order an iced tea to drink and the early bird special which comes with eggs, hash browns or potatoes, choice of bread and a meat. I go with wheat bread with brisket. My eggs over easy and hash browns. The brisket was good and tender. The bbq sauce that it came with was also good. The wheat bread was Texas toast style. It had butter already melted on it. I definitely enjoyed my food.
Service was great by our waitress. She was always checking up on us. There’s also a mini game area near the entrance where you can play games. Very cool.
I definitely have to come here for lunch or dinner. I hear the bbq is great and give you big servings. This place is a must try. Brisket was tender and delicious!
