This is amazing little spot in Little Italy to sit down to enjoy a delicious sandwich and a nice coffee based drink.

Very Italian coffee shop… which is a good thing since it IS located in little Italy. Cute, small, friendly atmosphere. coffee — large variety, lattes, expressos, hybrid icecream coffee drinks.. I had the Carmel Latte which was good. A coffee cake… which was also fine. I ordered a cannoli because of previous reviews. .I learned Im not a cannoli fan :(maybe in the future I’ll give it another go… but its too sweet in the a.m. for my taste. People are very friendly, Great location. seating area curbside was refreshing as well.

Came in for a late night coffee. Their iced chai is great and I enjoyed the latte hearts. The cannoli was decent, nothing special but overall the place is highly recommended

By far the most amazing coffee cake and cappuccino I’ve ever had. If your in San Diego you should definitely come to Little Italy and stop at Café Italia.

Before heading out to eat, my buddy and I decided to venture about SD. We were in dire need of coffee, so I consulted my trusty Unilocal app. Caffe Italia came up, and it sounded good, so we came here to get out caffeine fix. The café itself is pretty small, but they have a good assortment of coffee drinks and pastries. The place is interestingly decorated, and the staff is friendly. It is located in Little Italy. I ordered an iced café latte. For a simple drink, it tasted exceptionally well. That is a good sign that this place is legit. The prices were decent, and comparable to most coffee shops I’ve been to. As the enclave that it’s in is new to me, and the service and latte was good, I will be back.

Great coffee. It seems to be a popular place and can get quite busy. They have some tasty desserts and panini’s too.

Was in town so had to come back to this place for another lemon bar and coffee. Opted for the Café Emmiline which is espresso and gelato(though I substituted the listed coffee flavoured gelato with their chocolate gelato) and it was amazing. Why every coffee place doesn’t have ice cream espresso drinks is beyond me. Despite being ridiculously busy because of the Christmas festivities and it being Saturday night, the guys behind the counter were personable and accommodating, seemingly really enjoying their job, which is always great to see. This is definitely one of my favourite spots in San Diego. They’ve also updated their system in the past 5 years and now take credit cards via an iPad which is fantastic. No place has an excuse to be cash only these days.

The owners/managers have not reached out after this review. Sad!

In the heart of Little Italy, Caffe Italia is a cozy coffee shop. We got the Pistachio and Pumpkin Gelato, its creamy, flavorful not too sugary just the right amount of sweet one scoop is a good share for two people.

Right in the heart or Little Italy, this coffee espresso bar fits right in. Strong strong coffee. I got the single caffe latte which is equivalent in price to a high priced Starbucks drink. The difference here is the quality of the coffee. This drink was über strong and I loved the flavor and the quantity of drink I got. I also tried a gluten free brownie… it was a bit stiff but sweet. Overall, great place to enjoy a coffee and chill out.

Walking along India st. after a nice dinner I felt myslef needing something sweet. I walked right by this place so I decided to stop by and get some dessert. This place has a nice menu of coffees, gelatos, and sandwiches. I decided on the tiramisu and my friend got a cup of pistachio gelato. My tiramisu($ 4.25) was excellent. Not overly sweet which some places tend to be. The coffee flavor was pronounced and the cream had great flavor. I could have eaten another one but I had to control myself. The pistachio ice cream was excellent as well. Very creamy with tons of pistachios. The one guy working the cashier was very friendly and even hooked up my friend and an extra scoop for free. There is plenty of seating inside so this is a great place to stop by after dinner.

I’m giving it one star because of the rude customer service today and he said he was the manager I wonder if the owner is his brother or related because the manager should never treat a customer this way I ordered a med coffee and it came in a very coffee mug, I told him that this is not the same size cup is the Paper cup. He said yes it is he says they’re both 16 ounces the people that sold me the cups told me they’re 16 ounces so I believe them. I ended up asking for a paper cup shortly after I got my coffee in the mug he claims the 16 ounces, I poured it in the paper cup and I showed him there was quite a bit of coffee missing in my car so I paid for a medium and got a small and he says well I’ll tell the disrtibutor. I said no why don’t you just pour my coffee up to the top, That’s what he should’ve offered to do automatically when I prove to him that it wasn’t the same amount, he was just arrogant

This place is pretty awesome! We came in after searching for the best cannoli in the area. We were greeted warmly and the baristas, Sloan and Phong were cracking jokes with us constantly! The cannoli was delicious, my tea was delicious, and the espresso was delicious! Though the food and drinks were amazing, I would come back solely for the staff.

If you don’t believe me, while you are standing in line, take a look inside the gelato case. First off – they do take credit cards – saw somewhere where it said cash only – not true. Secondly, the service – the guy there works his BUTT off! Nice guy, apologized for wait. I would go here for the coffee alone – but to eat anything? I don’t think so. There is a screen behind the counter so you can see different views. The kitchen was a mess, behind the counter, the floor was covered with what I assume was coffee grounds. The poor guy working was so backed up and behind, he didn’t have time to clean. Some other guy working there(Earring dude) was doing I have no idea what. Not cleaning, that’s for sure. When we waited in line, we took a good look at cross-contamination in the gelato case alone. Pistachio gelato… looks like the spoon was used in another one as it had green remnants of the gelato, along with a maraschino cherry that was laying there. The strawberries looked a bit tired. Going back to Pistachio — if someone has a nut allergy – wow. I’d hate to be that person. This place needs a visit from the FDA. Like I said – the young man working there was SONICE and courteous and working his ass off, but honestly — they need more help behind the counter and they need to CLEANTHEIRCASES and God knows what else. I’m worried that if it was that bad in front, what’s in the back deep crevices hiding that we cannot see.

Not a fan of the service. I came here to study for a couple of hours and got annoyed really fast by the employees here. Their lattes are good, but I just couldn’t tolerate the sarcasm and biting wit that some may think is «funny». I witnessed bad jokes that you should only use among friends, NOT in an established business. It might be a good place to just grab your coffee and go.

After a delightful lunch, friend and I strolled here to get an afternoon pick me up. A little coffee shop with a few tables outside and tables inside. A little heat wave was hitting the area, so we sat inside, where it was cooler with fans. They offered some delectable looking cannolis and gelato, but friend and I stayed clear and ordered cappuccinos. A small has a double shot, which is exactly what we needed. Our cappuccinos were prepared perfect. Plus, I liked the little bonus of fresh flowers on the tables. A great spot to chit chat and catch up. I should have tried a cannoli.

Came here with some friends to cure a sweet tooth after lunch and this totally hit the spot! The staff was super friendly and they let us sample a few gelato options before we settled on our choices. I got a generous small(½ coconut, ½ pistachio) and it was so yummy! The pistachio was packed with nice sized nuts and the coconut was so light and refreshing. It also happened to be non-dairy(made with a coconut milk base), for those of you who are lactose-intolerant. They seem to have a lot of regulars. The café itself is really quaint and personal. My kind of place. I would come back.

O único lugar que conheço que faz crème bruleè de cappuccino! E é fantástico. Ambiente muito agradável. O único porém é o fato de não aceitarem cartão de crédito, mas pelo menos os preços são razoáveis.

I think this is a great place for some coffee and to catch up with a friend. I only had a Caffe latte and thought that was great. We seated ourselves outside in the«hidden» patio and its great if theres not a lot of people. But as we were ready to leave it got more busy. Parking in little Italy is so difficult I don’t think I’ll be back unless I was already in the area. There was a few food menus and dessert items I would want to try that with my coffee next time.

Because I didn’t get enough coffee with my breakfast that I had across the street, I decided to come over here for some more coffee. I gave their house blend a shot, a 16oz for $ 2.25, not bad at all. They only take cash here though, luckily for me I always carry cash now, seems like a lot of small businesses are moving away from cards. Their coffee is really smooth tasting, there’s no way you would want to ruin it with sugar or cream, it doesn’t need it. Staff was friendly here, although they didn’t seem to moving through the line too quickly, waited a good while for my coffee.
