Brazilia Skin Care

I’m not sure which lady I was given, but I came in for an eyebrow threading appointment and I was never greeted or spoken a word by her. She didn’t say hello or goodbye. She did my eyebrows quick, didn’t really shape them or put much personal effort into giving me a good look which fit to my brows. When I was getting ready to pay, she stood and hovered over and was watching me to see if I would give a tip the entire time which was very uncomfortable and made me not want to. The girl at the front desk wasn’t that charming either.

I originally was going to the location in Del Mar but discovered this location which is a lot closer to me. I’ve been at this location 4 times for a Brazilian wax with Laura. She is Great, very friendly and professional always does a great job. I will keep coming back.

I made an appointment to come in for a wax. When I called I spoke to a girl that seemed confused. I continued to make a appointment with her for the next day. I arrived to the appointment to find another girl at this location, I told her I was here for my back wax and she told me that they were closed for the day and there wasn’t any one to do my waxing. If the location was to close for whatever reason, I never received notice of it. The girl was more worried about what she was going to do with the guys that were hanging around the entrance of the wax salon. This was a huge inconvenience because not only can you not rely on making an appointment, they don’t call you to cancel or reschedule if they close early. Not to mention to find time again out of your schedule to return.
I finally was able to come in without an appointment I played it by ear and called on my way there. The waxing part of it was fine, the location is very small and it is what at it is. The girl who did my wax was very nice and pleasant, but she did manage to get wax on my neck, it did burn and hurt getting my neck waxed and she continued to tell me they she was throwing in my neck waxing for free, which is usually an extra cost. This made me tip her more than usual but I regret it!
I was red, like normal after a wax but the next morning my neck was brown and really irritated. I had marks like if someone had been sucking on my neck and was very painful.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone from my experience, I will not be returning.

I have been a loyal Brazilia-​goer for quite a few years now. I have visited all of the locations and seen many an esthetician, for services ranging from brazilians to lash extensions to body bronzes. While I can say with confidence that you are in good hands with any Brazilia employee, I have to give a shout-​out to my girl Laura. She is stellar with my brows – ¹⁰⁄₁₀ every time. She is gentle and soothing, and I love the way she shapes my eyebrows. I continually refer all friends (and even acquaintances!) to this spa. Once you go Brazilia, you never go back!

I have been going to Brazilia for almost 8 years. Every person I have had the pleasure of meeting has been really nice, skilled, and trustworthy for a return visit! I dont mind if I dont get the same person every appointment because I know that everyone does a great job! Little Italy location is super cute and conveniently located by the farmers market! The owner, Xelda and her daughters are the sweetest! For Brazilian waxes, I definitely recommend Laura (especially for your first time). Nothing but love for Brazilia!

Wonderful service. Laura made my eyebrows look exactly like what I asked for (wax). The receptionist was lovely and found a spot for my friend and I to get our eyebrows done at the same time on the same day we requested.

I had an amazing facial/​peel with Natalie. She does my brows as well and she is fantastic! It’s such a treat for me as a working mom to take care of myself, and I always feel papered with Natalie! All of the staff at Brazilia are warm, friendly, and so helpful!

Laura was amazing and quick with my first Brazilian wax. She was very gentle and took extra care of me. The waxing was painless and she made sure every hair was out. She was also very helpful with the aftercare. I would def. come back here!

Just stopped by as a walk-​in today for the first time because I’ve been hearing rave reviews from ladies in my building in Little Italy and it truly does deliver! Gia, one of the owners was so friendly and sweet. Great customer service, they squeezed me in immediately, hardly any wait. Angie worked on my underarms, which I got done for the first time. She used the soft wax which is gentler on the skin. She was so gentle, swift, and fast. I was done in no time. Great service, painless hair removal, and friendly beautiful workers! And it’s down the street from me! I’ll be seeing them in 6 weeks!

If you are like me (paranoid about anyone over-​waxing your eyebrows or changing the shape after years of growing then in), look no further for your new esthetician than Brasilia Skin care! Natalie is absolutely amazing for wax and tinting, and I can honestly say my brows have never looked better. She has high detail attention, is always on time and extremely fast, and makes sure she gets the color perfect every time. Thank you Natalie for making me beautiful :)

I’ve been going to Laura for a few months now and she is awesome! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the services and products in the salon. She uses hard wax only with me but can do a mix if you need.
The receptionists are also great and I like that they call the day before to remind you of your appt.
Side notes: leave extra time for parking as it is street parking and book appts in advance if you can.

Nice, quick & gentle
After moving from DC, I had to try a few places in SD which left me with a bad experience. Almost gave up on waxing until I found this place.

I love Brazilia! They are always prompt and organized (I’ve been to this location and Del Mar). The salon is clean and bright with awesome products for sale.
Laura is my fave she is sweet and does the best job on my brows. Seriously the best ever.
The parking is a little tough from time to time in Little Italy so bring some quarters and give yourself a few extra minutes.
All in all, you won’t be disappointed here. I’m a fan.

This is my go to waxing spa! I have never been disappointed, the staff is incredibly friendly, the facility is neat and clean, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I have normally had the pleasure of being worked on by Laura who is always so professional and friendly. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been very hesitant in getting waxed by a complete stranger. But after looking at multiple skin care salons this place is great! I had Angie do my Brazilian and she made it painless as can be. She was very nice and gentle made sure I was comfy and that there was no awkwardness.
Downside to this was there isn’t a lot to park in. Had to park on the streets. It’s downtown so eh.
Pricing wise was moderately okay for my first time, $ 45.
