This place is amazing! The food came out steaming hot, and the lady that served us was so nice. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Since I’ve been there, I have orders take out and have had dreams about their green beens. I can’t wait to go back!

I was craving wonton noodles soup and I was happy ton find this place was serving it. I really like wonton and noodles together so this soup was really good. I wish they had more wontons in it and I ordered the wrong noodles, they were thick so I couldn’t enjoy it as much. I did finish all of my wontons and should’ve ordered more. Next time I will. I also ordered a homemade lemonade which was super sweet that I had to water it down. My cousin ordered pork chops with rice which was really good. It had a sweet taste to it which I will order next time. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure we were ok and happy with our orders. We went during lunch time and it wasn’t busy at all, we were the only customers in the restaurant so we were treated very well. My son loved the noodles since he is a noodle and rice fan. It was affordable and delicious so I will def come back.

Came back for the satay noodles(dry version) and they were similar in spice to the old hao vi. I asked for less spicy and it was the perfect amount for me so that my insides didn’t feel like they were burning after. The dry version is a lot better, I just wish there was more sauce however it was really good and I felt good after! GET the big egg noodles instead though, the big white ones are meh. The wonton is good too! My dad got the black bean fried fish filet chow fun. I don’t know what it’s called in English but hopefully my version ^ will do. the noodles are okay, but the fish is honestly the best tasting fried fish filet I’ve ever had. It’s the same as hao vi’s version, the crust is crunchy I just wish there was more sauce but it was still good.

This place is great. The owner is Very friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and flavorful. It’s not greasy or heavy like so many other places around. Highly recommend the garlic green beans and the house special egg rolls. Fried shrimp appetizer is perfectly cooked and the house made plumb sauce is out of this world. The Thai ginger chosen is amazing. This was my first time but I will be back. Maybe even again tomorrow! Don’t pass this place by or you’ll really miss something special.

Although I miss the folks from Nhay Vy, Asian Noodle House brings something else with even more variety and taste and now is part of my regular rotation of City Heights eateries. These folks are the owners of the old Hao Vi Restaurant. Lots of experience and great recipies. All of their dishes come STACKED and with lots of flavor. The owners are so friendly and even offer the most wonderful steamed fish in a light sweet soy sauce and fried ginger shavings which is not on the menu(this dish takes a bit longer to prepare but well worth the wait!) Favorites include the Thai Ginger Chicken(HUGE portion and perfectly cooked tender chicken), Mongolian Beef(wonderfully tasty gravy and NOGREASE), Garlic Green Beans(perfectly cooked every time), pot stickers, fried shrimp appetizers, chow mein(tastes like homemade noodles), fried rice and on and on. Their soups are good too with their own style and flavor profile. You get the picture. This is just as good as Minh Ky but with better parking and always an available seat. Great value also so I end up ordering extra to taking home leftovers. Think I’m going to go there again today actually…

Wings! Awesome salt and pepper wings! My favorite? In the area, yes. Side by side comparison in the future. Chow fun was not my favorite, not even once. Shrimp fried rice was not awesome. Orange chicken, why? You almost broke my heart. I just had a feeling… This was going to be some really good orange chicken! The disappointment was radical. House egg rolls, you were legit. Win. Wings! They’re so freaking good man. I love that they come with jalapeño. The flavor is almost magical. THE best time to eat them is when they’re coming out the pan, right away. I’d rather walk in and order than call ahead and run the risk of them being done before I get there. They were actually good the next day as leftovers(once). So for now this is my go to for salt and pepper wings. I haven’t tried any of the noodle soups(yet), but I have another good feeling about these. Inside there are more tables than you might notice at 1st. There’s also a tv and a fish tank, which is always a smash with the young ones. The owners might be the nicest and most polite people you’ll meet. You might want to park on 46th street if you can. There is parking in the back marked by a sign. So make sure the 1st time you try the wings you walk in and order and keep em uncovered so they stay crispy!

When we arrived, my friend recognized our server! She was the only one working there, as this eatery is small. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings and had some of my friend’s seafood rice noodle. The soup came out first and had a good variety of seafood and meat with some broth on the side. It was pretty good, but lacking in flavor. The wings took a while to come out, but were huge and had a decent amount of spices. I liked the crunchy batter it was coated in, but it was missing something… Overall, the food was okay and service was attentive. If I lived in the area, I wouldn’t mind trying some other dishes next time!

A good hole in the wall place in El Cajon. Just got out of class and picked up late night wonton egg noodle soup that I’ve been craving the whole day. It was delicious! Customer service was quick and very friendly. Tasted home cook especially since it’s made to order. I would definitely come back again to try other things on the menu! 5 stars for delicious food!

This place is a small mom and pop shop in east side san diego. I’m a local from San Diego and I can say the food is great! With cost of living getting higher each year, it’s hard to find great restaurants with good food for such a good price. They take cash and card. Service is fast and the owner is extremely friendly. I will definitely return! Perfect for a simple dine in or Togo experience.

The perfect Chinese food! A cute married couple opened about 6 months ago. Drove by it several times & decided to drop in because of the Chinese characters painted on bldg(looked authentic). I have been coming here at least 3 times a week since then. First — the greeting is always with a smile. Second — not just noodles but everything is great I’ve tried so far. Third — the price is comparable to going to fast food prices but quality food. I can come here everyday if I could, haha. So far I’ve tried the following: 1. Wonton noodle soup 2. Fish fillet & rice 3. Beef dish with rice 4. Spicy seafood hot pot dish — noodles 5. Shrimp dish with rice As you can see I don’t usually go for the Americanized dishes but they have here as well. The husband is the cook I think & he is a legit cook from southern China. I debated to see if I could just keep this a secret or write a public review. But I decided to share my little gem find so you can also try out & see. On my list of things to try next — whole salted shrimp & chicken wings. Cheers — it’s actually my first review.

Sad to see the previous place gone, but so relieved to see it replaced with the Asian Noodle House. Love their menu and wanted to try the soup, but I already had soup for breakfast and lunch and the salt & pepper wings sounded too good to pass up. Add a fresh lemonade and chicken egg rolls to the mix, and I’m excited. Lemonade came out first and was delicious. This is homemade along with their chili oil, jalapenos in vinegar and plum sauce. This is very important because it makes a world of difference and a rare treat for me. Those 3 are probably my favorites in SD. Egg rolls come out looking all fancy. Very tasty. They had a unique flavor I could make out, but very good. Their chicken wings are monstrous! All I could think of is seeing chickens pulling plows and doing steroids to get this big. Pretty delicious. Love the finely chopped jalapenos on them. This place takes great pride in their food. Excellent preparation and goes the extra step with all the home made ingredients. Big fan and can’t wait to come back and dive face first in to some soup and porridge dishes. El Cajon Blvd is stronger than ever with all the great places to eat in this area.

These are the owners of the old Hao Vi noodle shop. I am so excited they’re back in business at this new location that offers patio seating! The location and ambiance is wanting but it is nostalgic of sitting curbside dining at street market stalls in Saigon. The noodles are scrumptious with varying options as a dry or wet dish. What makes and breaks so many other failed shops is the AMAZING bone broths that are meticulously crafted from scratch. Quick, delicious, and affordable. I highly recommend at least giving this diamond in the rough a chance to satisfy your noodle cravings.
