This is the best antique store I’ve ever been to, based on price and selection. Granted, I am not an antique expert, so I have no idea if these antiques are«good buys» in terms of antique collecting. You will find plenty of desks, bookcases, hutches, sideboards, dressers, mirrors, and chairs here from periods ranging from 1880’s(art nouveau) all the way through 1950’s(retro mod), and probably even more that I didn’t see. Don’t expect to be able to «browse» much, as furniture is literally stacked to the ceiling in about 500 sq. ft of «store». But if you can give the store owner an idea of what style you like, he knows his inventory, and will start to pull things out to show you. So I ended up buying a sideboard, and here’s a little bit about my experience: The original piece had an attachment on it that I didn’t want. So the owner was totally willing to work with me on the price of the piece without the attachment. Due to the modification, there were a couple pieces that would have to be cut off and some holes filled in(all of this was included in the price). Also, one of the drawer handles was missing, but he assured me he had it, and the whole thing would be touched up and turn out very nicely. We also planned for it to be delivered, which seems to be something not ordinarily done because he was pretty vague about who would deliver it and how much it would cost. When I walked away, I was VERYNERVOUS about the whole thing! There was a bit of delay in the delivery service, as I suspected might happen. HOWEVER, because he wanted to stay true to his word, by the end of the day he ended up strapping the piece to the roof of his own car and driving it over himself. I am thrilled with the way it turned out! Everything he told me would be done was done with great care. BOTTOMLINE: This quaint antique store has an awesome selection of unique, period-style furniture for reasonable prices. It’s a one-man show, and in exchange for good prices, there is no fancy show room or corporate delivery service(fine by me!)
