I go to Annie’s deli sometimes for lunch because I work in sorrento valley. This place is great. They have so many sandwiches to choose from. They also have wraps, salads, and sometimes even teriyaki bowls. The sandwiches are pretty size-able as well. The lady that runs the place is awesome. She is very friendly and keeps the place efficient. One day, it took awhile for me to get my wrap, so she gave me a bunch of mint candies to apologize. Great lunch spot – especially if you work in Sorrento Valley.

Great little spot, tucked away in an industrial area. Clean inside and out. Nice little patio with umbrellas and tables/chairs. Perfectly priced tasty snacks.

1st time… work down the street. Worst sand which I’ve ever had. Sloppy, bacon was old not good. Won’t be back. They were quick… so quick they put absolutely no love into the sandwich? Yuck

Fast. Made to order. Tons of choices. Healthy. Great prices. This place was so good we went back the next day and brought more people. I loved this place. Quick food if your in a hurry. Loved it and wish this place was in my hometown.

I like trying new spots around my job for lunch. This place is a simple deli… a place you would probably only to go if you worked in a building that was walking distance. I drove here and I didn’t think it was worth the 5 min drive. The service was nice and fast. However it was $ 6 for a simple turkey sandwich on wheat with some lettuce, tomato, dressing… I ordered the honey turkey sandwich. It was good but nothing too special. Maybe some of their other orders are better.

This place is so hidden, but it’s really good. The food is good and the staff is great. My favorite is the elderly lady who works the cash register. She’s so cheery and sweet and gives compliments to the customers.

I tried the Popeye wrap based on the reviews. Portion size was excellent, especially considering price. Ingredients seemed fresh but I wasn’t a fan of the dressing. I would have preferred less cream cheese and more roast beef but that’s just me. Other than that, it was pretty good. I usually get sandwiches anyway so I’ll definitely be back to try one. Decent meal for under $ 5, what more could you want?

I am never disappointed at this deli, such fresh sandwiches for great prices! I order the veggie wrap religiously and they always kindly accommodate whatever additions I need! The staff are wonderful and always so friendly :)

We call this place«Heavy Chair» because well, the ouside chairs are really really heavy. This little deli has no signage and is easy to miss. The Good: Cheap prices and quick service. The grub is decent. I like the cubano and hero sandos. A guy I work with likes the Cali wrap and the turkey pesto. They have some lighter options too. The outside seating with umbrellas is nice if you can get a table. The Bad: Not enough outside seating or parking during the lunch rush, the au jus is totally flavorless, the whole order your sandwich then get your drink/chips, then pay situation is awkward. The Ugly: Last time I was here a dude driving a contractor truck parked his rig across two parking spaces(PIGPARKER!) and walked straight into the bathroom for 10 minutes. Meanwhile a couple cars came and had nowhere to park. Then dude walks right back out to his truck and drove off. Not only was he a pig parker, he pulled off a classic dook and run on this small business. Our lunch crew was getting all agitated over it, but we managed to curb our enthusiasm. Overall, heavy chair works well as a quick sandwich place to grab a bite on a busy work day.

It’s not terrible. And at least I don’t have to wait to cross the train tracks like I do for the few other restaurant offerings in this restaurant-less desert of an area. Had the turkey melt and a cup of potato salad. Was filling, but wasn’t anything to get excited about. Good for cheap food when needing something quick and can’t drive out to Mira Mesa/la jolla for decent food.

Very good quality sandwiches! Perfect ratio of meat to bread… Hate over stuffed, bad deli meat sandwiches. This is not that. Good bread, loved the sandwich… I’ll eat here again. Lady was friendly and store was clean

First time I went there it was ok. Now it’s been getting worse they always get my order wrong. By the time I get back to work not worth going back. The teriyaki bowl is disgusting. DON’T GETIT found another place up the street that is way better. Parking is a pain too.

If you come to the Sandwich House, you’ll get a decent home-made sandwich at a reasonable price. Honestly, the sandwiches taste like what I would make at home — were I motivated in the morning. But I’m not, hence I pay $ 5 and gas money. The service is great and friendly and the lack of great delis in San Diego means you’re probably not going to find a better basic sandwich anyway. Sometimes you just want a roast beef sandwich, nothing fancy, and those are the times that you should go to The Sandwich House. After all, you’re probably only coming here if you work nearby anyway.

Woot! Sometimes I like to just have a quick lunch, and one that doesn’t involve a drive-thru. I’m so glad a co-worker took me to The Sandwich House because now it’s my go-to spot for a wholesome and fast lunch. Parking can be kind of a pain if you show up around noon, but I have no problem getting a spot when I show up at 1 p.m. There isn’t a long wait and they are so friendly there. The young cashier reminds me so much of my best friend, even though she looks nothing like her. How does that work? Who cares. Anyway, it was kind of confusing for me the first time I went in because I tried to pay right away, but when it’s busy I think they prefer you to order and then pay when you pick up the sandwich. I usually get some sort of turkey thing and the turkey pesto is amazing. I wasn’t too impressed with the tuna salad, but that’s because I don’t like those stupid sweet pickles. I didn’t know people actually ate those. I mean, people who aren’t murderers. I recently stopped drinking soda and was pleasantly surprised to see they have a really large selection of alternate beverages. So many, actually, that I usually can’t decide what I want and then I freak out because I feel like everyone is watching me try to decide what I want to drink and they’re all trying to figure out who the weird girl stalking the cooler is, so I grab water and run away like a bigfoot. Fail.

This place is a really good deli. I’ve been searching for one around my work so I can get a delightful sandwich on my lunch break. I had the hero sandwich(because of the name of course) and my only complaint was that I had to drive back to work to eat it. Some of the italian dressing made the bread a little bit soggy, but I didn’t really care. I still devoured the sandwich and left nothing behind.

Great place for a sandwich and chips at lunch time. The food is fresh, made after you order, very good, and reasonably priced. The menu is pretty large: wraps, sandwiches, burritos, breakfast items, and fresh soup. They sell the standard milk, juices, fresh coffee and even sides of potato, and macaroni salad. I love spicy so every now and then I buy a side of peppers. Excellent place to pick up your lunch at Sorrento Valley. Actually the best place to pick up a sandwich at Sorrento.
