Always nice and friendly when you go in. I like it when the clerks of stores engage in conversation with their customers. I would definitely choose this store over the other store down the street.

This guy is extremely rude and I will never go into this store again. I’m 75 and bought a lottery ticket at his store and when I went back to redeem it(4 times) he practically threw me out of his store then when another person saw this going on he said he should pay me the money he owes me and he pulled a baseball bat on him and told him to get out too. I would rather pay more money or anything not to be threatened. I went to mission market and they were AWESOME!!! MISSIONMARKETISMYNEWPLACE and Ace liquor is a place I will never visit again. He is happy as long as you are paying but if he get the slightest bit irritated he will cuss you out and throw you out. I hope this isn’t a sign on how businesses in America are going. It is scary to have someone threaten you with a bat over something so small.

If it were possible to give 0 stars I’d do it. Service is ok but make sure you count your change. I went in to break a 20 dollar bill and like a normal person felt weird asking for change so I grab a Gatorade. I was kinda in a hurry so I only half listened to what he said when he gave me back my change. My friend lives right next door so I walk back pull out my change which shoulda been 17 and some change and is only 7 dollars. I go back immediately and tell the guy he gave me the wrong change, he makes his point that I didn’t I explain I did since I in fact did not have a $ 10 and if I did there would be no reason to come over. He says he has to check the camera at this point, I’m angry but it sounds like ppl try n scam him all the time, so I tell him to check it then he tells me he can’t check it until tomorrow and says that he will give me the number so I can call back tomorrow. I’m not satisfied since I want my money now but finally give in but say that if I call back tomorrow I’m going to be angry and he immediately says he’s not going to give me the number. So I explain that if I call back and he tells me that it wasn’t a 20 on camera and he or some other guy pocketed it. He decides to get my number. I await his call all next day(today) and nothing so I ask my buddy the name of the liquor store. I call and asked him what happened he said they viewed the camera and it was a ten, I asked to review it and he said they would have to rewind the whole thing 3 days, since I’d be going in tomorrow, and that it would take too long. So in finality you may take my $ 10 but this review is on the house my friends

This guy is a complete jerk. I was visiting here with my parents and he was extremely rude and cussed out my 75 year old mom because she wanted to get paid out on a lottery ticket. He said if you aren’t buying anything get the f out of my business. I was in disbelief that someone would act like this but his american customer services skills are severely lacking maybe that is the way they do it in his country.

This place is awesome! Don’t make the mistake of going across the street to the«Mission Market,» the locals don’t call it «Mission Markup» for no reason. The workers are super friendly and the prices are a little high, but that is to be expected in a beach neighborhood. At least the prices are nowhere near as ridiculous as the store across the street, and they have the better wine selection compared to the«Mission Markup.»

Ace is worth the extra cost versus driving in to the beach to Ralphs for a few basic things although if you need a bunch of items then I would go elsewhere. The guys that run the shop are great and I like to support the local businesses

I have stumbled in and outside of this store for a very long time now. This place is located so close to one of my many beach bonfire hangouts, it’s become our local beer store while me and my friends are here laughing and singing, all the while trying not to catch ourselves on fire. That being said, the guys that work and own this place are some of the nicest people that I have ever come across in this area of business. What I mean to say is that my experiences while walking into(OTHER) small yet fully stocked liquor stores have been that of constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure that I’m not going to make the 11 O’clock news for being caught up in a 211 robbery. All of which is «not» a problem at this location. This store is very clean and located in the heart of Mission Beach so if you happen to be in the area and are looking for a good liquor store, I suggest that you give this place a go. Equally as important is that they keep in stock a hell of a lot of excellent booze! Enjoy ;-)

These guys are always so nice and friendly — just like everyone in Mission Beach. Great local liquor store!

Ace Liquor is located right in the middle of Mission Beach and it has a super fine inventory of liquor. I like the location because you can stop by here to pick up some pre-party supplies before you head off to the bars. The shop has a good selection of mini bottles of liquor and dessert drinks like Bailey’s. My absolute favorite item that Ace liquor had was a cute, little bottle Bailey’s that looked like it had enough in it for about two shots, but it about 8 bucks. So not everything at Ace Liquor is dirt cheap, but it beats blowing a bunch of money at a dive bar. Oh yeah, the staff here are kind of rude, but isn’t that the case with all convenience store workers?
