7-Eleven

It has been days they have not yet received their to tobacco license… Wow lol they are 7 – 11 hahaha but not the staff’s fault.

I went here for diet pepsi. It was fun to watch the cashier ride a skateboard around inside the store for a bit. Then someone (manager?) came out of the back room and we had a quick chat about recycling and the future of plastic shopping bags in the Golden State.
So… yeah. That happened.

Always friendly

A while ago-​when I first moved into these parts-​this 7 – 11, with a previous owner-​lost their liquor license for selling to minors or selling after the cut-​off time. Now a owner-​Janelle and her family-​represent what is good and decent about how to run a great franchise operation, and there is plenty of beer and booze again! .
This is a 7 – 11 that franchisees should aspire to follow. The Loma Palisades 7−11-as it is known as– is a good neighbor and always looks presentable. The parking lot is not an eyesore, the trashcans are emptied regularly, there are not a lot of gang-​bangers allowed to gang-​bang on the premises, and best of all-​the inside is good too.
If they run out of something-​it usually is in stock next time you go in.
There is always fresh coffee in the coffee pots and they feature the best Slurpee flavors that all the kids want.
Yeah-​there are security cameras everywhere and I miss the good olé days when pictures of shop-​lifters and/​or thieves would decorate the windows of the store! Even more worrisome, some of these absconders I recognized as doo-doo’s from my apartment complex!
I loved that Janelle has the cajones to put these up, but maybe some jailbird objected and now they are no longer! Oh well.
Sometimes it seems the people they hire for behind the counter look a little worse for wear and that they might be ex-​offenders themselves. No matter-​the lines at the counter run quickly and the amount of Red Bull and Monster sold to all the emo-​kids in line is astounding! I wish that the 7 – 11 coffee-​as good as it is-​would jack me up the way Starbucks does, but now I am hooked on the strong, expensive stuff! I have heard the iced coffee drinks are fantastic.
This is one 7 – 11 that feels enjoyable to go into. And that-​to me-​is saying a lot! Even though there is another 7 – 11 down West Pt. Loma Blvd.-not even 2 blocks away-​this is the 7 – 11 for me.
