Ma Jolie Salon

Jacki was amazing! She cut my hair in a new modern style I wanted to try and it came out perfect! I definitely recommend Ma Jolie salon to anyone looking for a premium experience. Drove all the way from riverside County just to get my hair cut by her!

I have been driving by Ma Jolie for years. After a particularly bad cut from another salon, I made an appointment with the owner. I was asked about my hair and my hair routine. She took time to listen. I was offered a beverage. I have super curly hair and she was able to shape it and provide a cut that made me happy. I was offered a rinse after my cut. It was a great experience. I do suggest trying this salon. I will return. The owner has substantial styling experience. Very satisfied!

I had gone in there with the intent of getting my hair highlighted (as I’d said on the phone when I set my appointment). I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and the stylist was, at first, okay. When I asked her, however, what colors were involved (it was highlighting + toning) she said she was only doing blonde highlights.
I am dark skinned with dark hair. Blonde highlights are not the way to go, obviously.
My mother (who was paying for this as a treat) explained to her that I wished for toning as well, in neutral colors.
The stylist was rude, at this point, when showing me the color samples. Whenever I attempted to say anything or ask a question, she would interrupt me and ask, «But what color do you want?» I’m sorry, could you give me a few seconds to figure things out here? That aside, the original quote of $ 120 was suddenly raised to $ 300, because apparently toning highlights takes about 8 hours.
The price wasn’t the issue. The issue was her attitude. Needless to say, we left and I went to another salon that did my hair wonderfully, exactly how I wanted it, and I only ended up paying $ 80.
I would not reccomend Ma Jolie simply for their rude attitude. The end.

Went to the Spa part of the Salon for a facial. Service was okay. Very plain but poor owner/​manager Lori. She had a problem with Amazon’s voucher system and instead of calling Amazon merchant system she calls to yell at me. Not a wise business decision if you are trying to encourage new clientele. Not a very smart person but this part of the business has only been around 5 or 6 mos and probably won’t survive the year.

Love my new hair!!! It took me a while to commit to a shorter length and I couldn’t be happier! Jackie and everyone at Ma Jolie made me feel like a brand new woman, can’t wait to be back!

Monset was my hair stylist. She gave me a great cut, and at a great price. She got me an appointment next day after calling and there was no wait once arriving. Very nice, offered refreshments. Clean place.
Will definitely return and refer others.

I’ve been getting my hair done at Ma Jolie Salon for several years now. Jackie is fabulous! She always does a great job with my color, cut and when needed, Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I never have to wait and it’s incredible how fast she is!!! I’ll be returning as long as she’ll have me!

Lori did my blow out today and I loved the volume and the different technique that she used to achieve this. All the girls have done an excellent job here. Side note: I also checked out the color and highlights that Tamra did on her client. Flawless from root to ends! and the woman’s hair was down to her waist (as a former salon owner this is a hard task to achieve) perfection!

This past week I had a hair appointment at Ma Jolie Salon and am very happy to say I had a great experience! The reason I found them is I was searching for a salon who offered Organic hair color and they do! They are conveniently located right off of PCH in San Clemente and I got an appointment with no problem.
I was greeted very kindly upon entering. Jackie the owner helped me find the perfect organic hair color for highlights that resulted in a really pretty honey color, which was just what I was looking for, she did them quickly too! I hadn’t had a good cut in years and had really damaged ends but all that was resolved with a great cut with long layers added in to my almost one length hair. Jackie and Lori were very attentive and sweet, overall good people!
I look forward to going back when the spa section of the salon is finished which will offer many forms of massage therapy at affordable prices and organic facials, among other treatments!
*FYI they offer a great deals for first time clients such as a free hair cut with any color treatments.

Went there for a Keratin, cut, & color… this place ROCKS! They were all very nice, professional and have great teamwork… I would recommand this place to anyone who likes to be taken care. especially Jackie the owner very nice person who know a lot about customer service.

Went here to get my hair cut through a livingsocial coupon I had. The place is located in a strip mall close to the beach. When I got there the place was pretty empty, but that’s because it was Tuesday at 10am. My stylist was also the receptionist and we started on my hair at my appointment time… might’ve been a bit earlier since I go there early. She washed my hair and then proceeded to cut my hair. I took off about 2 inches of damaged hair. The haircut was ok… you know it didn’t have the wow factor I guess, but that’s fine since I just wanted to get rid of my damaged hair.
It was nice that after they cut my hair, they gave me an envelope full of coupons to use for merchants in that area.

Okay, so I’ve got bad news. About 4 weeks after my Keratin treatment my hair started feeling like straw and breaking off about 4 inches from my scalp. Um, scary. I called Ma Jolie and the person who answered told me it couldn’t be the Keratin treatment, had to be that I had gotten highlights afterwards (I haven’t) or I was using the wrong products (I’m using what they recommended). After consulting with another salon and telling them what was going on it seems the likely culprit is that the heat was too high when they flat ironed my hair. Thus I am scheduled for an appointment this Saturday at another salon to try to revive my poor breaking hair. Wonder what that will cost?

Getting in was a wait. The welcome was indifferent. Once you were in the chair though, you entered the world of great hair and people that care.
The haircut is fabulous and the whole salon became a lot brighter once you were in the chair.
The parking lot was a strip mall by the beach. I would honestly have overlooked it if it wasnt a groupon/​living social deal.
