This place has a very friendly atmosphere, good food — great service. Sunday morning breakfast in San Clemente — doesn’t get much better

Stopped by to eat here because of the reviews. Was not disappointed, food taste was excellent. Service was pleasant with a smiles all around. Ordered biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs and friend ordered eggs benedict. Biscuits and gravy was just perfect, not too overwhelmed with the gravy. Eggs benedict was cooked just right. Overall, a restaurant that I would visit weekly if I lived close by. Cheers.

This place is just adorable. Smooth jazz/easy listening music playing over the speakers; old black and whites showing on the television. I could get used to this! The food portions were large!

I love coming to this restaurant with my family. They have the best Lattes and Mochas in San Clemente. Their bagels are amazing regardless if you get the plain or the everything. From their biscuits and gravy to their multiple versions of Eggs Benedict everything is great.

My boyfriend says I always choose old people cafes, but they’re good! Anyways, there’s a wait so don’t be surprised. The location is very small, but you can choose to eat inside or outside of the café. Ordered the breakfast burrito, which comes with breakfast sausages, eggs, and cheese wrapped in a red flour tortilla. There’s also a side of hashbrowns. The downside is that there’s not much in the burrito and the tortilla gets stuck all over your teeth! I wish they put the hashbrowns inside too. Got fresh squeezed OJ and mmmm delicious!!! I wish there were refills(in my dreams though). Waitress was okay. She didn’t seem that happy to serve my bf and I compared to other customers. Not sure why. We weren’t rude or anything. I always said thank you, but she just walked away, never acknowledging it. Don’t know her name because she never mentioned it, but she’s middle aged with glasses. Aside from that lady’s service, the hostess was nice and always smiled. Acknowledged my thank yous! Meal was good and I’d come back.

Breakfast was great! I had the California Benedict and the combo of poached eggs, avocado and bacon with hollandaise was perfection! Service was amazing, I will definitely be back!

If you are a «Foodie» then Antoines should be on your list of regular restaurants. I’ve eaten there regularly for years and have always had delectable meals. So much so that whenever possible I meet clients and reps there for lunch. I believe that the essence of good food is related to good ingredients. You can taste and smell the quality at Antoine’s. The Chef always uses fresh vegetables and herbs and the difference clearly shows in the taste. I can honestly say I savor every morsel. ABFAB Place and great lunch atmosphere. LOVEIT !!

Really cute, small café with really good food. We stopped in on Mothers Day, we were seated and served in a timely manner, even with a line out the door. The staff was friendly and hospitable… Oh and the coffee really is as incredible as the other reviews say it is! We will definitely be back!

What a great little place for breakfast! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and they even have gluten free bread. Between the weather, the scenery, the people and the great food, would love to live in San Clemente!

Antoines is always tasty, satisfying and friendly. The last item I had there was a mushroom, avocado and feta omelette. It was one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. They have the best French onion soup you’ll find anywhere, and the French dip is phenomenal(yes, there’s a theme here, as the restaurant is owned by a French family that knows their food). The service is always great, the prices are reasonable, and it has a great location right in the middle of San Clemente. As is the case with most downtown locations, especially in beach communities, parking can be a little challenging at times, but it’s never a problem. If the parking lot next to the restaurant is full, there is street parking nearby and there are several free public parking lots within a short walk. This place gets crowded on weekend mornings, like any good breakfast restaurant does. It is not a large place, but that is part of the reason it feels friendly and welcoming.

The best vegetable soup I’ve ever had! I ALWAYS have a cup no matter what meal I’m there for. Matt had Lobster Benedict this morning and it was truly scrumptious! I had Lox Benedict and it was delicious as well. The service is fantastic too! Favorite place for sure@

I’ve been here more than a few times, and enjoyed every last bite! They have incredible crepes where you can make your own, and they have the option to make your own omelette as well. They’re a coffee house, so they have incredible coffee! I’ve enjoyed everything I have tried here. I like that I can come here for a dessert item(like Nutella crepes!) or I can get a hearty breakfast of eggs and toast. The servers are friendly, and the food runners are very attentive. Everything is priced fairly.

I give it 3 for its charm. Service very slow, waited 20 minutes for a bagel. Coffee was bland and weak. Pricey menu for a bagel 7.95.

I was expecting so much more! I was excited to eat here after reading all the good reviews. I ate here for lunch after a wonderful night in San Clemente. This café was down the road from the beach. When I walked in, it was very crowded and busy, which seemed to be a good sign. Standing at the podium, our hostess wrote our name down for a seat and asked us for our drink order. After glancing at the menus and standing there awkwardly for 10 minutes trying to get her attention for our drink order, she decided to seat us in a booth. When another larger party arrived, she changed her mind and moved us to the bar. When we sat down, we didn’t receive service for another 5 minutes while sitting in front of a dirty, stick table. It’s busy and I get it. We don’t always have to receive the best service. We ended up waiting around for the menus and when we had the chance, we ended up ordering the caffe latte, cappuccino, breakfast burrito and the build your own omelette. The drinks were just ok. My caffe latte was espresso with an attempted milk heart blob. The drink quality itself was good, but I think the latte art needs a bit of work. My neighbor ordered a caffe latte as well, and his drink just looked like a creamy accident. The cappuccino that arrived tasted like milky blandness. NOTWORTHTHEPRICE! My build your own omelette with a side of fruit was decent. You can’t really mess up mixed eggs and ingredients. The breakfast burrito was ok. The side of salsa definitely gave it a little kick it needed. The waitresses here definitely work hard here. I think the owner walked in right in the middle of the lunch rush and started to inspect the place and talk to the patrons. She lectured the workers in front of the customers about how they should do their jobs. I think this would be more appropriate in a private setting, where the customers don’t hear it during their meal. It makes lunch more awkward when you are haranguing the staff. Overall, an OK place to eat!

What a fun little find — thanks(again) Unilocal! In search of a breakfast spot after a hike, Antoine’s hit-the-spot. Small-and-cozy(I seem to recall five 2-person tables, five small booths, and eight counter-height chairs at the bar top); very attractive Trader-Joe’s-like chalk signage. I ordered their Antoine’s Lox and Cream Cheese($ 9.95), which I enjoyed(despite the red onion slices appearing a bit dry on one side, as if I had the 1st cut of an onion that had been sitting around a while). Good food, and reasonable drinks(bubbly and Bloody Mary were $ 6.50 and $ 6). Glad to have found a great breakfast place! Unilocalers can check-in for a complimentary cup of coffee.

Had breakfast this morning and they give you LOTS of food… It is relatively a small place and they have booths along one wall, small 4 person tables in the middle and a small bar to sit at. They also have some outdoor tables. maybe four or 5. They have off street parking but not much. There was 5 of us so they put a table at the end of the booth and it worked out well. We were there around 8AM and no wait. The Server was very positive and was not rushed. The selection was somewhat unique with lots of breakfast selections. I had 2 eggs over easy, crispy hash browns, rye toast and bacon. The toast is thick, the bacon was really good and eggs slightly overcooked but good. I asked for crispy hash browns but would not next time. .just a little too crunchy but I asked for it LOL… if you get OJ, the small is pretty big. Coffee was good and not too strong. For lots of breakfast meals you get a pancake with your meal and my breakfast was almost too much and very good. Well if you have to use the restroom, it is outside around back. they give you a key which is connected to a HUGH wrench which makes it pretty clear to everyone where you are going LOL… bathroom was clean though. It is a nice homey place and have quite a selection of food and drink and I believe they have alcohol. I like it. Reminds me of going to a small local breakfast place; which it is. I have to give it a 4 for breakfast and would go again.

This place was crazy busy but worth the wait. Food was very good and and even though the place was stacked, the service was great! We had the house omlette and breakfast burrito with cappucino and mimosas. All were very tasty. Great local vibe here.

Lovely time at Antoine’s Café this Friday morning. Although there was a bit of a wait to be seated, the hostess brought us some coffee in the meantime, which was kind. The service is impeccable. Friendly, local, and very attentive people here. It feels like such a valuable local diner. I got the Antoine’s Benedict, which took eggs benedict to a new level. Goat cheese, tomatoes and basil added a new, unique flavor. Highly recommend. Overall, this is a place you do not want to miss to get that San Clemente feel!

First off, get ready to wait. This place is tiny and usually packed. The portions are a good size and the price fits for its location. Good variety on the menu and the food was tasty. Give the bowl of coffee a try.
