7-Eleven

I went inside to use the bathroom. The door to the bathroom was opened. This guy working there with white hair and glasses ran after me to tell me it is not a public bathroom. I told him I would purchase something because I really had to go. He then proceeded to tell me that it’s not for public. I think he was lying to me because why else would the door be opened to the bathroom and why else would the bathroom have the male female bathroom sign on it…
So I told him I thought he was lying to me.
I understand that they probably deal with people trashing the bathrooms but I was an honest customer and felt like I was treated poorly

I know that good help is hard to find but the cashier here today takes the prize. I ask him to wait as I open the 7 – 11 app on my phone. He rings me up but never scans the app. When I ask if he is going to scan it, he tells me that it is too late. He’s already completed the transaction. I ask him if he saw the phone lying next to his scanner. He says he doesn’t look at people’s phones. I’m wondering if he looks at the money in people’s hand. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, evidently. Next time I will go to the 7 – 11 down the street. So much for convenience.

There are three 7 – 11’s close to the beach on the north side of the freeway in San Clem. North Beach is the best, location-​wise — great views — and Palizada is definitely the grungiest. But this one is without a doubt the friendliest. Steady stream of families in and out, and its location, right off the main drag, is far easier to access than the other two. It anchors one end of a small strip mall, which also contains an upholstery shop and an Italian takeout place. This 7 – 11 seems a little roomier (if that can be said about any of them), and easy to navigate. The parking is definitely easier than the other two. Takeout food is always fresh and hot, and the sandwiches are likewise fresh. Best clerk is Denise, who knows most of the regulars, and is a good source of info about the town. And it is notable for its lack of parking lot spare-​change collectors — they’ve obviously been chased away, ‘cuz they don’t hang out here. Ergo, the family-​friendly tag. Nice, clean, fast and free of grunge. It’s what a mini-​mart should be.
