Noreen Maresca Designs recommended Custom Woodworks to us so we assumed we would get quality work. The first time the cabinets were installed the finish was red with very visible streaks and very shiny. When Marc came out he pointed out even more imperfections and took the cabinets back to be refinished. He then brought a sample that we signed off on. The cabinets that were finally installed have a satin finish on the side of the cabinets, a very shiny finish on the front of the doors and a dull overspray look on the sides of the doors. Marc told us that was the best they could do. Of all the cabinets in our house these cabinets were the most expensive and poorest quality. I cannot recommend Custom Woodworks.

Let me start out by saying that I know the owners, Ramsey, Miranda, Catrina, and Tarik Halaby very well. I have known them ever since we met in preschool. Sadly, Ramsey passed away of a heart attack in 2006. However, Miranda and Danny, a longtime employee are continuing on the tradition of providing superior cabinets and other woodwork at competitive prices. They have a full showroom with kitchen and bathroom setups, as well as sample catalogs and pieces of different materials, done out in various colors and stains. Of course, being a family friend, I have toured the manufacturing plant itself. It is a modest size, with about three to five employees, with semi automated and automated equipment. The guys just enter the coordinates into the machines and hoist the wood onto the machine and it does the rest. Of course, some assembly is still required by hand. But, what an awesome operation nevertheless. Well, I did not mean to digress. I just wanted to give everyone as much background information on the company. We had them do two of our bathrooms which are in tiptop shape with no problems or defects from the date of installation 10 ½ years ago. They are stained with nice handles and sturdy hinges to mach. So, for friendly service, top quality materials, and a job well done at competitive prices, Custom Woodworks cannot be beat. Miranda and Danny, keep up the good work.
