I almost didn’t go here because of the odd name(the«4» in the name just hits my ear wrong) and because I rarely go to downtown San Carlos. It was the last stop on my search for an ergonomic chair and other accessories for my home office. Don’t make my mistake, save yourself some time – go here first. Not to say you shouldn’t also visit other stores, because product offerings vary and you should try a wide range, but if I could do it again, I’d start here. Why? Because I was surprised at how hard it was to find a good ergonomics store in South Bay. Really odd, considering ergonomic equipment can be super expensive, yet any benefits depend wholly on your unique body. I mean, I’m a guy who buys EVERYTHING online, I NEVER go to brick and mortar stores. This was the one time I thought, «I need to try this stuff out in person with expert guidance.» You’d think it’d be easy to find that, what with being in the heart of Silicon Valley. Nope. The other places I visited had some nice salespeople, but they clearly didn’t have much ergonomics knowledge. And I did visit a place where the people had some ergonomics knowledge, but didn’t seem interested in me I guess because I wasn’t buying 100 chairs for Google or Apple. Not only was Susan the most knowledgeable salesperson that I encountered, but she also was the most engaged, thorough, and patient, as well as the least pushy about sales – exactly what I’d want from an ergonomics store! She actively encouraged me to keep trying other stores so I could make the right decision for myself. Here’s what was really crazy – the customer before me took up a lot of Susan’s time, but when she got to me she was still totally patient, unrushed, and thorough… and then as I was leaving, I found out she hadn’t eaten lunch yet, and it was 3pm! I also overheard Susan telling a co-worker that they would need to work over the weekend on a bunch of business contracts, and yet she still gave me her full unrushed attention, even though there were clearly plenty of much bigger budget contracts for her to work on. Susan said she loves her job, and it shows. Recommended.

I have bought an ergonomic chair and driving support cushion from Susan Hannah and Arranged4Comfort and am satisfied with both. Susan was helpful and pleasant to deal with. She has been working in the ergonomics and wellness business for more than 15 years in this area. She handles business accounts and also sells retail direct to consumers from her store on Laurel Ave. If you want to improve you or your team’s work productivity and general wellness go and check them out.

Great for fittings for ergonomic things, but not for customer service or after-sale customer service. Prices way high compared to others.

FYI, I went down this path due to long hours sitting w/chronic back pain. My point of comparison while trying not to disparage competitor businesses is that I’ve shopped at the same recognizable bay area ergonomic specialty stores that I’m sure you have or will go to. Also thru my company I had the option of ordering the company standard ergonomic chair being Steelcase Leap or Bodybilt Ergogenesis which I test drove for comfort. Lastly, thru work I’ve had another ergonomic specialist consult on proper ergonomic setup. Net: Motivated by lower back pain, I’ve done my homework a) The chair designs that Arrange4Comfort carries are very different than what I’d seen in any store and for me were much more supportive and comfortable.(I chose the Soma Ergonomics, SomaForm w/high back. Just looking at the picture, you can see the back is quite different in shape. My shoulders sit down and back in a much more comfortable position than is possible w/typical and even ergonomic wide back chairs. Also the lower back just feels much more supported. . b) Susan, who helped fit me for the right size chair is truly an expert in her field. Through my work I’ve met one other ergonomic specialists for comparison and I instantly new that Susan had a more advanced understanding of how to size and configure to meet my needs. There was also no comparing the experience with her vs. the other brand name store were I was helped by a sales specialist vs. a true ergonomic expert. Recommend highly meeting Susan and trying out a chair she configures specifically for you. It really made a huge difference. Also, I now use a sit/stand desk as well and will never go back to full time sitting.

I prefer the shop in Palo Alto as they are always there at least. This SC store is hit/miss if you stop in. They are knowledgeable yes, but not that friendly or helpful, and terrible if you want to exchange something or get help with a keyboard or thing after the sale. If you just want ergo advice and measuring, they are great. Customer Service or help, no.

I walked into this store with wrists in splints and in total pain. I was just wanting to see if something could help relieve the pain and Susan was my pain-free sherpa. She does not sell you– she solves. She is such a kind soul who knows her products inside and out and set me up with a mouse that has put me 4 days without pain– but better than that it has made me happy to work again. This Roller Mouse Red has been amazing. Going back today to check out chairs.

Susan Hannah is the most knowledgeable person I know re ergonomics. She knows the products, best body mechanics and how to make it all work together. She took the time to make sure everything was right for me. She was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.

Terrific or even good customer service is so rare today. Susan exceeds all expectations when it comes to taking care of customers. She is professional, friendly, very knowledgeable and really takes time to learn about a potential customer. As a customer service snob(me) she would get 10 stars if Unilocal would let me.

Susan Hannah at Arranged4Comfort is the person you want to see for your ergonomic needs. Her specialty is chair fittings but I have used her for an ergonomic keyboard and tray, alternative mouse, and a desktop mounting device for my three screens. The equipment she recommended has relieved my wrist discomfort and I was able to try out the keyboard and alternative mouse in her showroom. Susan and her staff give top-notch customer service. They are friendly, attentive, and you know they would take care of any glitches that might arise.(For the record, I haven’t experienced any glitches.) I happily recommend Arranged4Comfort to my clients who need ergonomic assessments or assistance for employees.

I was having various discomfort using the computer and needed to get a chair with good forearm and low back support. I did my research and got several recommendations to go to see Susan. I was very impressed that she took the time to really understand my needs, narrow the chairs down to the most likely best-fits, and then adjust each of them so I could select the best choice. I really love the chair I got, and can’t imagine being without it. I also appreciate that Susan took the time to teach me how to use the adjustments. I doubt I would have found this chair had I gone to a typical office furniture store nor would I have known how to use it so well! If your goal is to find equipment that will help you(or your employees be comfortable) then I don’t think you could do any better than this place.

About 6 months ago I started getting a numb feeling in my calfs. It got worse and worse as the days went on and as I payed more attention to it I started to realize that it was my chair, and my sitting position that was causing the problem. This was quite shocking to me since a couple of years ago I had invested a significant amount(over $ 1000) in buying the top of the line Aeron chair. So… I went on a quest that lasted about 2 months, to learn everything I could about chair ergonomics. To my surprise(again) I found that every expert I spoke with in ergonomics told me that I am one of many, many people who have this problem with Aeron chairs, and that while they look good and«fancy» from an ergonomic standpoint they are actually not very good at all. I also tested and tried dozens of chairs, actually taking about 6 of them back to my house to try for extended periods of time to see which one was best. In the end, I found Susan at Arranged4comfort and she hooked me up with the winner! Not only did I find her to be very knowledgeable, and to have the highest quality and best designed product, but she was super-friendly and super-helpful and was willing to go way out of her way to make sure I got the right chair and right configuration for me. If you’re looking to create a more ergonomic environment in your home or office, she is your lady!
