An unexpected gem. My colleagues and I travel to San Bernardino frequently and this was our first time here. We had brunch and were served a nice steaming cup of broth and chips with salsa as an appetizer. Our actual meal portions were pretty generous and tasty. I had the taquitos and the fresh tortillas were delicious. The décor was kitschy but cute, and the service was decent. Finally, the aspect about this charming neighborhood diner that I appreciated the most was that they accept and match donations to reserve funds for folks who are in need of a warm meal. I love this place and plan on coming back here whenever we’re back in San Bernardino.

We chose a bad time to try this cute little dinner. They were extremely busy. Some of the customers were rude but the staff was great, the food was good but they are a tiny bit high price wise. $ 2.49 for coffee is high considering I only got one refill but they were busy. We will try them again.

Lunch on the way out to shits creek to pick up the new puppies. This place was rather rundown and a bit dirty to boot. The chips and salsa tasted good, but the club sandwich was really boring.

This place was great! The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the environment is relaxing, clean, and inviting. We had a Deluxe Cheeseburger and a Chicken fried steak breakfast. The cheeseburger was filled with flavor, very juicy, and had the option to come with fruit– just to make you feel better about the selection. The chicken fried steak breakfast had a balance of flavored and you had the option to choose two sides. I chose French toast and biscuits and gravy, both of which were excellent!

I’ve been to Jovi’s twice in the past week and both times I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the combination of attentive service, great tasting food and low prices… Had the flavorful chile verde omelette the first time around and the $ 5 Wednesday cheeseburger/fries/drink special just right now. Incredible value… seriously, that’s it. What more do I have to say? TLDR Summary: Just go.

By far one of the best little hidden gem spot for breakfast in San Bernardino. Went in not knowing what to expect but left with the bar raised for other restaurants!

It’s still downtown San Bernardino, so there is still a chance of being molested by some homeless wacko or getting your car broken into, but if you have to go somewhere then Jovis is better than the average downtown eatery. Daily specials, big portions of decent food, pretty good service all conspire against everything keeping you from eating in Berdoo. She evens does her best to enhance the environment enough to make you forget where you are at. Especially good for lunch.

This diner is so amazing! Located in a tucked in strip mall. We came here after a long night of partying. They have an amazing selection of breakfast foods, Mexican food, and such phenomenal prices. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Super clean and feels really retro! Our waiter was really attentive and filled out waters. He took our orders and gave us a free chips and salsa appetizer! :) will be back next time I’m here!

The food and service at this diner exceeded our expectations. We came on Monday morning so the place was pretty empty, but the hostess/waitress was still attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out in under 10 minutes and everything was cooked perfectly and was the perfect temperature. Both dishes were amazing and had so much flavor. This is definitely not your average diner and is worth a drive if you have one.

Not being familiar with San Bernardino, I did a quick breakfast search and this place came up. Lovely atmosphere with an old diner feel to it, oldies playing on the radio. We got the skillet breakfast and it was delectable! Plenty of good food to fill you up, fresh coffee, flavored creamer and friendly host. We would definitely comeback again.

Initially, I wanted to try 2 other breakfast places. One of them(Bleu Pitt Café) is closed on the weekends, and the other one, Carolyn’s Café, had an hour wait on a Saturday at 10AM. To be fair, today IS Halloween so I’m not surprised there was a wait. I was starving so I opted to try the next best-rated restaurant — Jovis Diner. I called before making my way there and they confirmed there was no wait — and there’s a reason no one was there! We had the following: –House omelette with ham, mushroom, onions, and cheese. We added spinach. This came with 2 sides, we opted for biscuits and gravy and fruit. –Country skillet with home fries. There is a bed of home fries on a skillet, with eggs, sausage, and a country sauce on top. This came with one side, we chose the french toast. –Pineapple spinach agua fresca. The omelette was dry and overcooked. The ham in this dish was a joke! The country skillet was better than the omelette, but still not great. It tasted like it was separate ingredients, not a whole dish. The biscuits and gravy was alright, the fruit was okay. The french toast was probably the best item among all these dishes. The pineapple spinach agua fresca was underwhelming. It tasted like watered-down pineapple juice. I will probably never return here. For someone who is looking for a LOT of food for cheap, this is the place for you. All this cost about $ 20 plus tip, and there were a ton of leftovers. This could have fed a family of 5!

Because of all the rave reviews I decided to take my mother there today… bad idea. Before I get into all the negatives about the place I must say the diner has a lot of potential and the initial greeting was nice. The place was dirty; my mom pointed out that the napkin holder looked like it had never been wiped down. The fans, walls, windows, silverware all dirty. I was kind of annoyed that I had to swat and shoo away flies every few seconds and then I was horrified that we had to get our own salsa from the ‘salsa bar’, I’m not a big fan of sharing my food with flies. After we received food the waiter or any staff for that matter never came back to ask if everything was ok, kind of sad because I was dying of thirst and was never able to get a refill and there were shells in the eggs, but who cares cause the staff was having a good time chatting up there buddy. We waited around awhile until we had to ask for the check. I was really disappointed with the food, very bland and my overall experience was not a good way. I will not recommend this place or ever go back.

*First time here* My friend and I ordered the chile verde omelette and it was delicious… I ordered mine with hash browns and French toast… very delicious… It’s a small 50’s style diner… very clean and the service was excellent… I was being nosey and I noticed that the person next to us ordered a cheeseburger and let me tell you it looked delicious!!! Breakfast was great, now I can’t wait to go in for lunch :)

Denny’s who??? Greatest lil diner place ever! Clean, wonderful oldies music playing, nice décor, & best of all, AMAZING food. Price is normal to just a tad high for a diner but not bad at all especially when you see the portion sizes & right now there’s a groupon. BEATS Georges Brian’s Michael’s & vickys if yr a local you know what im talking about. Let me just say this place was so freaking good that I’ve been twice in the past week lol! So sad I never discovered it before. Especially since it’s hard to find good spots locally. Food: first time I got the steak breakfast with house potatoes and biscuits and gravy sooo good & they seasoned the thin steak well. ALL of that comes in 1 meal but I was so sad they had no A1 sauce they said they ran out. :(I don’t usually even eat steak without A1 but it was so good I ate it anyways. My son had child’s breakfast pancakes with an egg and bacon & we addled strawberries and whipped cream he loved it so much the second time he said he wanted the exact same thing but with sausage. Lol My second time I got the Popeye omelet so good spinach mushrooms onions tomatoes cheese big portion. Free chips & salsa come w the meal mmm Weird fact the first time we came we were literally the Only customers and the second time we had to wait for a table and there were cops eating too which is usually a good sign. If you want no wait come later in the day. Waitress looked a bit frazzled the second time but they were very busy to her credit. Music so nice.

I’ve always been a fan of small places. Both literally and figuratively. Family owned restaurants always get my attention. With a diner style interior, they have a lil’ bit of everything. My omelette was cooked nicely, and the hash browns were perfect. Good variety of side options on their breakfast, lunch plates. The rolled taquitos are made in house, which is always a plus. Good prices, great service. I noticed their aguas frescas were very popular, and a complimentary sample of the pineapple/spinach juice was friendly & delicious. Peace.
