A friend and I came here after a long day of amusement parking. We were both ravenous and decided we were in the mood for some Mediterranean food. We started off with the babaganoush appetizer which was smoky and creamy and came with wedges of warm bread sprinkled with sesame seeds. We also ordered the falafel appetizer which was fried to perfection and came with some creamy yogurt mint sauce. It reminded me of tzazitki but different in that it wasn’t garlicky and didn’t have cucumbers in it. I like tzazitki better but this sauce was good as well. I ordered the chicken kebob platter and I’m always afraid of ordering grilled chicken because 9 times out of 10 it’s dry, flavorless, and burnt. Oh not this time. This chicken was wonderfully seasoned and moist, it was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The rice was also nicely flavored and had bits of vermicelli in it. My friend ordered the vegetarian platter which was loaded with pieces of eggplant, onion, peppers, and tomatoes and then covered in a tomato-based sauce. Portions were generous and the service was really fast and friendly. We couldn’t finish our meals so we each took home some leftovers and I requested some extra rice to go with my leftover chicken. I fully expected them to charge me for it but when the bill arrived, there was no charge. This place has quickly climbed to the top of my favorite places to eat. I’ll be back for that chicken platter soon!

6.9.16 We were referred here by a Turkish man who works at the base hospital… It is definitely worth the review! My husband was stationed @ incirlik, and the food took him back. Try the Turkish tea, Mediterranran grill, and the rice pudding for desert!!!

I used to live in Germany and used to get doner all the time from a little Turkish place. Since being back in America I have not encountered a place that had doner or anything that tasted like it. But I ordered it here and was super pleased. It was delicious and the desserts were great as well. Definitely coming back

I brought my parents and their friends here upon the recommendation of my Turkish friend. We had the meze platter [selection of appetizers]. The Lebni is excellent. It has a smoky tart taste, sort of like a thick Greek yogurt but not sweet — very complex taste that I almost guarantee you will like. The Babaganoush was my second favorite appetizer. The Mercimek lentil soup is also good, more of a subtle flavor compared with the Lebni. We then had main dishes. For those who are not vegetarian, the mixed platter is a good option. For dessert we had the Kunefe, which is a cheese pastry [has the texture and color of coconut], comes in a small pan, toasted on top with pistachios. It is a little over the top, but very well prepared. It is a place I would take friends from out of town for dinner, the location is a little hard to find.

Amazing falafels. The staff was ok, kind of slow and I could barely hear them on the phone. Overall the food tasted great and earned 5 stars, we came back again for dinner. The service is quick and food comes out quick too. Babaganoush was out of this world.

Tomatos tasted very old as did my meat, never going back. Service wasn’t bad, the décor was a little tacky but who cares. I cook for a living and I know old food when I taste it.

Just had another dinner here right now. Great food and service as usual. Try the Doner kebab plate. Just wish they would have the sandwiches all day.

I have been here twice. The first time was almost 2 years ago, and it was phenomenal then. I went with a large party for dinner, and the restaurant was packed. I believe I got the gyro plate or something similar and I was pleasantly suprised at both the quantity and the quality. Additionally, the bread was fantastic that they served to the group. I was really pleased, and my friend who got the mixed grill was even more pleased. It was a beastly option, and it came with an incredible amount of meat. I went back a couple weeks ago and my experience couldn’t have been more different. For starters, I picked up the food to go on a friday night and to my surprise, the restaurant was completely empty when I walked in to pick up my food. Odd, since it was peak hours for dinner. The guy giving me my food didn’t give me any bread with the 3 mixed grill orders that I was picking up(priced at 15 dollars each for a total of 45 dollars) which I thought was pretty silly. I asked for some bread and he seemed hesitant to give me any, returning with only 1 piece of bread for what was clearly 3 people’s dinners. I was pretty annoyed and asked for 1 piece for each person and he «compromised» by giving me one more piece. Ok. 2 pieces. Better than 1, but really? Makes it seem like this place might be struggling to stay open. Which after I got home and tasted the food… i can understand. First off, way less food than I remember them offering in the mixed grill 2 years back. Like a lot less. The chicken was ok, decently moist. The gyro was awful, dry and tasteless. The ground beef kebab was dry and tasteless as well, and the lamb was both overcooked and overseasoned. I prefer very little seasoning at all on my lamb and this place was a great example of why. The seasoning completely overpowered the natural lamb flavor, and with it also being dry, I felt stupid for paying so much to eat such bad quality food. My friend disliked her meal so much that she ended up throwing away most of it. Overall, this place is not like I remember it. It might have something to do with the fact that its getting less business, and food turnover is not high enough to keep the product tasting fresh. Unfortunately this is a downward spiral because I can’t see how they can attract more customers if their food quality doesn’t improve back to what it used to be. Sad, and I hope that they figure out how to fix this problem. Oh and the bread was dry btw… clearly had been made hours or maybe even days before I ordered my food.

Honestly best place to relax with family and friends and enjoy a wonderful meal. I’m never disappointed with the service or the food. Everything is cooked proper and served hot. Chai tea is absolutely amazing, even their bread!

My first visit, 2÷6÷16 — VERY good. We stuffed ourselves more than we should’ve! We started with a cold appetizer sampler. Everything on it was just delicious. The variety and depth of flavor was wonderful. I had the mixed grill platter. Again, delicious! My GF had the seasoned beef stuffed eggplant, which she loved. The service was great. The best Middle-Eastern restaurant I’ve been to in town.

It has been a long time since my visit to this place. It is a very nice place to be on a Friday evening after a long day of work. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. It is a little fancy and romantic. Started with an appetizer calleD Ezme which is tomatoes with onions bell peppers and garlic amazing taste. The main course was the Lamb Tava which is lamb stew with mushrooms. It was very tender and cooked in tomato sauce. I forgot to mention the bread is very good and freshly made. For dessert had the Kayisi Tatlisi which is apricots with walnuts and topped with whipped cream very good and light dessert. Overall a very good experience in this Turkish restaurant and ready to come again. The people is nice snd they make feel welcome. Sometimes being adventurous pays

Excellent food! Fantastic service! Cem(pronounced Jem) did an outstanding job of taking care of us and explaining the components of the tasty concoctions we ordered. This was our first time eating Turkish cuisine, and we now are huge fans! We ordered the Meze plate(the small order for $ 8.99). This is smaller portions of the first 7 cold appetizers. What a great way to get to taste lots of great apps without spending a fortune! The wife LOVED the kisir(aka tabuli) and the lebni! I’m a huge fan of eggplant, and, more specifically, babaganoush. I try it anywhere they serve it, and I even make it. Not a fan of this version, which has yogurt added to it. I’ve never been a fan of tabuli/tabouli. Usually it has lots of parsley with a few tiny pieces of tomatoes and cracked wheat with lemon juice. HOWEVER, THEKISIRROCKED! This kisir is light, fresh and bursting with Flavor! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!! Ordered one hot app, Patlican Kizartma(fried eggplant slices served with yogurt & garlic sauce). I love eggplant(Patlican) but the yogurt was all I could taste and it was applied to the slices before serving. I wouldn’t order it again. We split the entrée, Iskender Kebab($ 14.99 dinner entrée): a northern Turkey specialty. Doner kebab meat, cubes of pita bread(not ur typical pita — thicker and TASTY!), in tomato sauce and butter with yogurt on the side. Excellent! We loved it! Great flavors! We finished with a dessert to go, the Kazandibi(baked custard with a caramelized sugar top). Turkish flan? Crème brûlée. Just kinda *meh* to me. It was thin & heavy. Nothing special. But will we return? Hells Yeah! Cem was a phenomenal server! He was personable, friendly, & knowledgeable. He was the cherry on top of this great first Turkish experience! Well done, Cem! We can’t wait to go back and try more Turkish delights!(Poor Pun Intended). =]

I have been coming here for MANYYEARS(at least since 2007BEFORE I went to Turkey). Before, an older man use to greet me. I had become very familiar with him and even interviewed him for a piece I wrote for Taste in the San Antonio Express Newspaper many years ago. I had stopped coming here for about two years but recently returned. While I can say that the older man is no longer here, their food is still top notch. Despite the smaller portions(which saddens me immensely), the Doner Kebab(my absolute favorite) will give you goosebumps as the flavor encases your tongue. They also still serve their fluffy warm bread that can enjoy with their infused herb oil. It is still a must try place despite the smaller portions and perhaps the not so friendly manager.

Pros: I think I actually said Mmmmmmm out loud with the first bite of my chicken kabob! So tasty I can’t wait to go back. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We also had the cucumber garlic dill yogurt appetizer it came in a large deep bowl I was shocked at the generous portions. –(not complaining it was great) Extremely attentive and kind server! Thank you we will be back. Cons– the women’s bathroom sink water had no water or burning hot water for hand washing.
