Not sure why this truck doesn’t have a higher average rating — I really enjoyed my burger with blue cheese and duck bacon last night when Toastie Buns was parked outside a tasting at the good wine store. I personally prefer my fries to be extra crispy, but I was glad to try them Chef Dom’s way and appreciated his attention to detail and the friendly service. Great ingredients, great execution, and a great value!

So not worth the $ 9 for a thin burger that was over cooked. Said was Angus beef but not sure if they have ever had it before, as I have and it usually has good flavor. Disappointed.

I didn’t dislike the burger from Toastie Buns, but there was nothing extraordinary about it — and definitely nothing that justified the $ 9 price.

I’ve ordered from Toastie Buns a hand ful of times and they always seem to hit the spot! One thing I love about this truck is the people, they are always so friendly. I’ve dealt with the same lady every time I order and she’s just so welcoming. I also love the prices, you can’t really argue for $ 9 for a burger, fries and a drink. Also, everytime I’ve ordered from them on Boardwalk on Bulverde they always deliver it to me, which really makes me happy since I’m so lazy ;) The burgers are delicious, very very good. Not one of my favorites, but no one can beat a Chris Madrid’s burger, I think it’s somewhat impossible. Either way, it is definitely up there on good burgers, plus they have SEVERAL different types of burgers so no matter what you’re craving, I’m sure there will be a burger that you will love. The fries are why I give Toastie Buns a 4. They weren’t good at all and they usually never are good when I order from them which is disappointing. They almost seem somewhat soggy. But they do have other sides to choose from, you can get a bag of chips rather than fries, but they really aren’t my favorite. I love Toastie Buns though, maybe the times I’ve gone for the fries have just been awkward times for them, the burgers are the best though and really, you go to Toastie Buns to try their magnificent burgers, not to eat fries!

So Gouda burger was soooo gooda! Fries though were undercooked and soda warm. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Burger with cream cheese, black olives and jalapenos! Delicious! Had so many burgers to choose from, glad I chose this one. Definetly a must have when stopping at Boardwalk on Bulverde.

The Oh-So-Gouda Burger is appropriately named. It is oh so VERY good. The only disappointment was the soggy fries, the oil was not hot enough. But that was minor to me as I was there to try the burger. The $ 9 price is very fair for a burger, fries and drink. They cut it in half on request so you can share.

Toastie Buns was the chosen truck for my first visit to the Boardwalk. Not entirely by choice, it happened to be the only truck opened aside from the Snow-Cone place that I also visited. I ordered the Oh-So-Gouda Burger($ 9) that came with bacon, avocado, and a yummy slice of gouda, a side of seasoned fries, and a canned soda. The burger was a little smaller than what I’m used to… which is probably a good thing since I wasn’t that hungry and the fries were a little greasy. All in all, everything was pretty tasty and I can appreciate a gourmet burger truck.

Yum yum yum. First time ordering from this truck and can’t wait to try it again. Turkey burger on a wheat bun with american cheese bacon lettuce pickle and dominic sauce. What a perfect combination. The corn salad was a bit to spicy for me but I ate it anyway. I still think my turkey burgers are the best ;) but this is a close second!
