I guess it was just ok with a ½ off Groupon. Mediocre food, service, promptness. I wouldn’t go back and pay full price.

Service could use some improvement. The tortillas are good and the taco size is perfect with an even distribution of filling. Waitresses are running around like crazy, but don’t know how to multi-task. The food is room temperature and the Pancakes are way too small.

Good food — best breakfast tacos I’ve had in all of SA so far(& I’ve tried ALOT), they have a drive-thru, & the service was fast & beyond friendly! Def bookmarked for a future visit.

Came for New Year’s breakfast. Had the chilequiles, which were good. The bacon was thick cut, unlike many places. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. They did have a breakfast buffet, but the layout wasn’t overly appealing. Overall a good experience.

We are currently sitting here about 8 min before they came to get our drink order, the waitress then asks did they get you a menu? No. cause no one has tended to us. Their food is really great but everytime I come in to sit and eat their wait staff is extremely lousy. It’s needs a little tunning up and the place will be great.

Not too bad, friendly service & their French toast plate is pretty good, I don’t really like to order anything else but always come out satisfied!

Bad service, food and poor customer service when problems called to their attention. Food undercooked on one attempt Wrong dish prepared on second attempt Final correct food delivered after everyone else finished eating A very poor experience… i will never go back!

Food was very greasy. Meat was full of grissel. Order was wrong. Will not go again.

Carne guisada is good. Flour shells taste ok. The tacos are small and cost more over here than the other locations. I like the Potranco and the Lincoln heights locations better than this one. The shells and the food are better plus they’re cheaper.

Horrible service, we asked about nachos for the kids and the waitress says they give 8 nachos. Really?!? 8 nachos for $ 9!!! Then we ask for sopapillas and honey. The waitress says ok… she brings us the 4 sopapillas AND syrup. She says that’s what they give. Well then it’s not honey now is it!!! Not coming back again.

Tried the buffet today. A great deal for 11 — 12 bucks. Made to order omelets, carne guisada, barbacoa, potatoes, beans, French toast, menudo, oatmeal, fruit, and a whole lot more. All you can eat! Just awesome. Fast, friendly service. When Tink’s returned to this location, they really amped it up.

I ordered some nachos and I saw past the window that the cook, emptied a plate of nachos onto the to-go box, I get home without checking them, and surprise lousy soggy nachos, the worst I have ever had, I will never go there again. Thanks for the terrible experience Tink a Taco

The Worst place ever… very rude waitress & staff… the manager didn’t even apologize for the wait or the rudeness of her employees… the overweight waiter who was obviously moonlights as Drag Queen was snobbish w an ugly attitude like it’s my fault they took so long!!! Be prepared to wait… HORRIBLEHORRIBLE!!! It doesn’t even deserve one star… our waitress was also an overweight Latina who u can tell tell was str8 out of the barrio never offered us chips or salsa… never offered a refill… I believe that they knew we weren’t from La Ferica… she was just helping her regulars who were major thugs n Hoodratas… I must insist on anyone who even thinks about eating here PLEASEDONT… their prices were outrageous to begin w… who do they think they MITIERRA??? Don’t be fooled by the new exterior it’s still the same run down low class piece of crap restaurant!!!

Unimpressed. Came here with a ½ off Groupon. I would not come back here even if the Groupon price was permanent. The chips and salsa were decent, as were the margaritas. That is about all I have say in favor of this place. The barbacoa tasted like water. The mini taco plate was equally bland. Luckily I got to watch some nfl playoffs there, which is why this place got more than one star. If you haven’t been here, and are considering going, stop. You can do better.

Looking for lunch, we bought a Groupon for this location. The food was very good, and the service was ok. There are really no complaints that I can mention about this restaurant. I ordered the fish plate that had talipia with four shrimp deep fried. The fish was properly cooked, tasted great, and had just the right amount of flavor. It has been my experience that some restaurants over flavor their fish. Not the case here. They do offer a buffet for a earlier time, and I will return to give it a try.

Their tacos are huge! The chile rellano was also tasty. The beef fajita was pretty tough though. But over all the food is very tasty. The variety of tacos is redic. The Fredricksburg location has the best tacos IMHO. I love their picadillo. Not a fan of the Papas Rancheras, though. I also recommend the margaritas. It’s great to catch them when they have a Groupon deal. Not the best Mexican/Tex-Mex in San Antonio — but it’s a solid place to go for some noms.

I like this place for some quick food. I’ve never been inside(drive thru for the win!) but the service in the drive thru has always been quick and easy. They have taco specials in the morning such as buy 5 get one free, buy 10 get three free, tacos for $ 1.25 and there tacos are nicely sized. They are open 24 hours on the weekend and the perfect spot to get food at 3am. Try their mini tacos or their fried cheesecake. Two things you can’t go wrong with!

We have never eaten at Tink-A-Tako and after our recent visit we can say we STILL haven’t eaten there. And probably never will. They have been renovating and remodeling this location for awhile now, so we finally decided to give it a try now that it is open and since it is so very close to our home. A try is all we got, though. Having never eaten there, when we pulled into the drive thru the menu seemed pretty big so we asked the young lady who was on the speaker if she could give us a moment to look, to which she replied to let her know when we were ready. After a few minutes of indecision we finally settled on a few items and spoke into the speaker. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. We tried again. We said hello, hello, is anyone there, etc. ad nauseum. We waited for a good long while(much longer than I have ever waited at ANY speaker) before finally driving up to potentially place our order at the window. There was no one at the window. And there never was. We went across the street to(I think it’s El Cabrito in the shopping center) another Mexican restaurant and had the best service and food imaginable. Since we were looking for a new place for our family to try, that is the one which will not become a regular spot. Sorry, Tink-A-Tako, but just because you have fixed the façade doesn’t mean nothing else is broken.
