Great customer service and the food is excellent. I recommend the carne guisada breakfast tacos! I placed a large order during peak hours of the morning. I was impressed that they seemed to make it a point to not lower quality standards or rush my order — instead opting to adjust staffing to fill my order in a timely manner, while also quickly serving customers placing individual orders.

We came to get good donuts and saw the breakfast tacos so we had to try one. Incredible!!! The donuts were very good and still paled in comparison to the tacos. Homemade tortillas and incredible flavor. Well worth the short drive over if you’re visiting the area for vacation.

Came here for Saturday afternoons breakfast and it was great! Short lines, friendly staff, good food sums up this place! The everything from the tortillas to the beans is homemade in this place. Someone’s abuela is doing a great job in the kitchen! You can even see them making the orders behind the counter and they do it with care! Had some of the doughnut holes after breakfast too from the doughnut side. Let me tell you, THEYWERETODIEFOR. I ate half a bag on my own and I don’t even like doughnuts! They were so addicting! The restaurant was very clean too. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be back again!

Donuts are soft with the right amount of chew and they do it just right. I’ve eaten 6,574 donuts in my life and this was definitely in my top 5. Check this place out!

This is a place that doesn’t exist where I come from. I like it though, ordered a breakfast taco with barbaquoa, beans and cheese. Very good. Green sauce was spicy but good too! Afterwards I had a Boston cream doughnut, that rocked! Like I said, strange but it worked for me. The ladies that work there are sweet and I spoke Spanish so they gave me some love for that.

I’ve gone here numerous times and the food was great! On this morning I waited in line for over 15 min I ordered when I got to the window and tried to pay the lady informed me they only take cash?! She said since its my first time there she could show me to an a t m?! I was so upset and hungry all I could do was roll my eyes at her then drove off so I would not be late and hungry for my training class! Put a sign up before the customer waits in line out to the street! Have at least that much consideration for the customer!

The line was CRAZY to get to this place. Otherwise, very good! If you want Taco’s AND donuts you have to stay in the«Taco’s Only» line at the drive-thru. It’s cash only — so be prepared for that. Donuts were AMAZING, melt in your mouth and fresh.

I love tacos, so I have to say that these tacos were good, but I’ve had better. Although, the tortillas were probably some of the best I’ve ever had, the potato and egg wasn’t all that flavorful & I found myself drenching it with salsa. I will say the bean and cheese taco was delicious ! Next time I go back, I will probably just order two of those. Overall, my husband and I did enjoy our breakfast here and will be back.

One of the best little breakfast spots I’ve found anywhere! The handmade tortillas are superb — great size, a little thick and fluffy and absolutely delicious served warm. We had potato & egg, bacon & egg, and carne guisada & cheese breakfast tacos(cheese is extra on any of their items if not listed). They were delicious and filled completely full — bring your appetite! We also picked up some donuts for the road and these are seriously some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. They have the typical selection plus some that are a little more original but not crazy. Seriously, why has no one at my typical donut shop thought of a coconut topping?! We had chocolate donut holes that are awesome and a cinnamon crumb and cinnamon twist donut. The cinnamon crumb is my favorite! Everything here is amazing!

Its morning rush hour and the shop is in full swing. The smell of freshly fried donuts overpowers the senses. With a wide variety of all things donuts, this small shop is dope! Everything from chocolate glaze to coconut these donuts sure are flavorful. The price for a dozen is fair! The self servie drink menu is anything breakfast. Dont have a craving for? The joined tacos shop next door can probably satisfy, but that’s a review for another time!

Right now this review is only for the donuts. I came here for the first time and I would make a return appearance. If you’re looking for something that’s NOT a chain donut shop, this is the place to go! The donuts are made fresh on the daily and there is always a line out the door and the drive thru for these babies. I ordered a crème filled donut and a cinnamon twist. The crème filled was a vanilla custard like crème. The outside soft and chewy with a good glaze. Ridiculous goodness! The cinnamon twist reminded me of a cinnamon roll. Also delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable and the donuts are a nice size. I took a coffee to go and it’s insanely hot. Careful on the tongue. lol! Next time I need to try their tacos. They too looked delicious!

Literally the best Carne Guisada I’ve ever had. The wait was well worth it. I also enjoyed the bean and cheese. I will definitely come back.

Miracle Max in the movie Princess Bride: «Sonny, true love is the greatest thing, in the world-except for a nice MLT — mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky, I love that». I love The Original Donut Shop and the food they offer(no Mutton lettuce and tomato sandwiches though)!!! I had the opportunity to meet a fellow business owner. We agreed to meet over lunch. I wanted to finally get to try The Original Donut Shop and made it. An ample selection of lunch specials with drink are offered for $ 5.50. I went with a mexican restaurant standard(cheese enchilada plate). Their cheese enchilada plate comes with two cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, two tortillas and drink. What a bargain!!! You walk up to the counter and order. They call out your number and you pick it up. Pretty straight forward. It was tasty and filling. Now c’mon. Any place named The Original Donut Shop must have great donuts. I ordered a donut twist for dessert. You need to walk over to the other side of the restaurant to buy the sweet stuff. No problem. How was it? I really enjoyed it. So fresh and warm with sugary sweetness. I’m having Homer Simpson flashbacks.“Mmm.donuts”. Make sure to buy donuts here. So, so good. This place is affordable and the food is solid. What more do you want? I spotted grandparents with their children and grandchildren, twenty somethings on dates, neighborhood folk, business folk including me. The next time you can’t make up your mind on where to go, give The Original Donut Shop a chance.

Tacos AND donuts under one roof??? I had to pinch myself there for a second to make sure I wasn’t in some evilly scrumptious dream. Any place that has those 2 items under the same roof, especially when done so well, definitely gets 5-stars in my book. Tacos and otherwise«savory» foods — Delicious. I love how they take the time to incorporate the bacon in their eggs as opposed to just throwing a strip of bacon in the taco. Their carne guisada is so tasty, especially with cheese and especially with a little side of lettuce and tomato to dress up my taco. Their chorizo and egg was just OK. But the spotlight is definitely on those amazingly well-priced lunch specials. For only $ 5.50 you have your choice of a 2 crispy taco plate, Mexican plate, or chalupa plate. There are others as well and I believe all come with rice & beans. But better hurry, they close at 2pm! Donuts — Really good! They really do remind me of the donuts from Shipley’s. And for under 8 bucks a dozen, there’s no excuse not to keep it local and help out a mom-and-pop shop. Minor gripe sesh: still not a fan of how they don’t accept credit cards and I wish the little ladies in the front wouldn’t chit-chat while in the middle of taking my order, but how can you stay mad at someone who looks like your dear old grandmamma? You just can’t!

Decent carne guisada, good salsa. The cheese enchiladas could use a better sauce but overall the food is good. The donuts are so fluffy, better than Krispy or Dunkin for sure.

I’ve been craving funky donuts for DAYS(you know, the ones with fun and different toppings, like fruity pebbles) and I happened across an Instagram post of a cereal topped donut from ODS. I was so excited about it that I made the trek out the following day just for this treat. I was sad to find that there were no such donuts available on the Sunday morning that I arrived. I wasn’t about to leave empty handed though, oh NO. I ordered a couple of their cake donuts with sprinkles(I mean, at least I can have a little fun) as well as a strawberry filled glazed donut. The donuts weren’t pricey; I think I spent a total of $ 2.50 or so on the three I ordered. Not bad! The donuts tasted fresh, light, and delicious. I don’t eat donuts that often, so I can’t compare it to much, but the freshness was definitely apparent. The cake donuts had that sweet, slightly cinnamon/nutmeg-y flavor that is just perfect. And of course, I couldn’t just forget about the all important add on to their sign: Original Donut Shop ANDTACOS, I hopped in the taco line too.(I’m not sure if you can order both donuts and tacos from one line, or from one drive through line for that matter — so for now, consult other Unilocalers if you’re trying to make it easier on yourself). I ordered the bean and cheese for myself, and the chorizo and egg for my sleeping hubs(he owes me). The bean and cheese taco was definitely yummy, but it was a bit more like a quesadilla with beans than a taco. The taco had a crispy finish, like it had been placed back on the grill after filling it with the cheese and beans, and it was shaped like a quesadilla as well. I’m not complaining, because it was still freaking good, but just different. So although I’m still sad about not getting my fruity pebble donut, I still left full and happy.

The people that say they don’t like it are just trying to convince you not to go so THEY can eat all the yummy breakfast tacos themselves!!! Cuz this place is hoppin’, people! Expect long lines on the weekend! Believe the hype! I love this little dual indulgence shop(donuts/tacos). I have been here about half a dozen times and every time I go, I’m served the most scrumptious, yet simple, breakfast tacos ever! Today I was lucky enough to score a non-menu taco, migas. It was moist and flavorful… so much so that I didn’t even mind that it was vegetarian. I’ve been to quite a few other shops that boast«Best breakfast tacos in SA»…nah…I’ll pass. You can go there if you want, but I’ll be at this joint with a fat, taco-filled belly.

I’ve actually not been to this establishment in person. But I’ve certainly had their food. One of my coworkers would occasionally get donuts and tacos from this place and bring them to work to share with everyone. It was so nice of him to do that. I certainly appreciate the gesture. I’ve tried the beans & cheese taco and the country sausage & egg taco. Both were tasty. I think I probably liked the country sausage one a little bit more. By the time I finished the tacos I had no room for donuts so that’s why I never got to sample them. Then again I’m not too crazy about donuts so I think I can live without them. Overall decent tacos. I wouldn’t mind getting them again.
