I come to sushi zushi because I love their Kani nigiri, this trip I had gotten two not so good pieces and the kitchen manager came over to my table and handled it absolutely amazing! He asked me for my feedback and explained to me what had happened and replaced my Kani with the good stuff! He was awesome and I’ll definitely stay coming here!

Good red bean mochi and service. Don’t order the vegetarian curry, it was pretty gross looking and lacked flavor.

The atmosphere is amazing. Servers are super sweet, attentive and always on top of things. The blackberry smash drink is amazingly delicious along with the Crawfish Dynamite.

Really good food and courteous waitress. Some of the items we ordered were: sea garden squid, garden salad, miso soup, las vegas roll, shrimp yakisoba noodles and a banana ice cream desert. Not a very good place to eat with children unless your child loves asian food. My son is very picky and didn’t eat the fried chicken kabob. Everything was really tasty except the miso soup, not a lot of flavors and didn’t like the tofu inside the soup.

I love happy hour! Cheap drinks, cheap rolls, cheap gyoza — cannot go wrong! And then there’s just so many options and all so full of flavor(including vegetarian).

This used to be my sushi place of choice. Their sushi is great. However, their website specifies that the Sushi Zushi Colonnade location delivers in an 8 mile radius. According to Google Maps, my house is just less than 6 miles away from this restaurant, but when I called to speak to them about it, they said it was outside their radius. So, either they need to adjust the radius on the website, stick to their publicly posted radius, or choose a new mapping system that maps more accurately. Very disappointed and frustrated. I can still go pick up the sushi, but that’s not the point. What’s up with that, Sushi Zushi?

Great place to go eat sushi. The only type of sushi I had tried before was the heb kind and wow was I missing out! I ordered the Godzilla roll and the Cosi roll and they were deliciously spicy! I couldn’t finish them all it was too much food. Service was here was good. The girl we got was new but the other employees came to help her out with the questions I had. Such nice employees and great location!

Service was awesome! Food was fantastic! Atmosphere was so laid back and modern and stylish. It’s a great place to just go relax with friends and get a light meal or a full dinner. The food was so good that my boyfriend and I both got a second helping of sushi. The Bora Bora Roll was my favorite. Everything looks appetizing and the happy hour is a nice touch. The coco mojito is my favorite and during happy hour the prices are unbeatable for the flavor and the service. The food came out pretty quick as well so the service was fast and smooth. Don’t overlook this place. It’s worth a visit.

Slow and Poor service We came here for lunch and waited 45 minutes for our order. We had to take the food to go because it took too long. Other than an insincere apology from our server, nothing was offered to make up for it. No manager even came by to apologize or offer anything. Poor service. We will not be going back.

It’s promising if it’s happy hour … I wouldn’t waste my time if it’s not… Nice selection on roll’s and draft beer of ichiban and kirin! Winning!

Whenever I want to eat sushi or Japanese comfort food, Sushi Zushi is my automatic go-to place. This is my second time at the colonnade location and something that really stood out to me compared to their other locations is the fung shui of the room. The seating is so awkward. I felt like no matter where I sat I was less than arms distance from the people next to me and was part of their conversations. Both dining rooms are crowded and seems like you’re just right in the middle of everyone.(Reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) Besides the awkward seating, the quality of the food and service is wonderful. I always order a stone oak roll and ask for it to be thinly sliced with a side of spicy mayo. Some places give you a smaller portion when you ask for thin slices but this location did it exactly how I wanted it. My friend ordered a chirashi bowl and dead it was delicious and fresh. As an appetizer we ordered soft shell crab which I’ll admit wasn’t as crispy as usual this time but still full of flavor. If you’re a regular like me, I recommend activating a sushi miles card to rack up some points to unlock future discounts.

This place is great. The service was great. The food was lovely. I don’t usually like large menus but this is definitely welcome. A great selection of Japanese Food and an extensive sushi menu. Fit for both purests and fusionists, if that is a word. The green tea ice cream tastes like it does in Japan. The sushi was fresh and the drinks menu had many sake, sochu and plum wine options to choose from. There are also great veg alternatives if that is your thing. Will definitely be back!

So I have had sushi zushi at a different location off 1604 near stone oak pkwy This location is much smaller than that of 1604. But the quality of the food at this location is no where near as good as 1604. The service is as equally dissatisfying. If you’re planning to get sushi take the extra travel time and go to the better location on 1604. I ordered the curry chicken Katsu which was extremely bland from this location. The curry sauce was like water where it is supposed to be more like a gravy in consistency. All in all disappointed.

Sushi zushi never disappoints! Always great atmosphere, great service, and great sushi. The one downfall for good olé SZ is the miso isn’t complimentary and for the life of me I don’t know why. I feel like their rolls have a good flavor to them and they aren’t afraid to step outside of the box like putting jack cheese on a roll. Yes it sounds gross but it’s actually good. They also offer you standard soy sauce and one they make. I prefer theirs. Lights and better flavor. Rolls I have tried(note: none will have fish only shellfish Bc I’m allergic) and all I would recommend: Las Vegas Cajun roll Rajun Cajun roll(has cheese) Bora bora — my new favorite! Torreado roll w/crawfish(this one was ok) Monterrey roll(has cheese) Godzilla Colonnade

I have been to Sushi Zushi many many times over the years at all their locations. It is an awesome selection and some items like the spicy edamame, joy sauce with peppers, Janie roll are fantastic. Also I love the drink the Japanese Yellow Jacket — it is Makers and fruit juice. The reason I never reviewed it before is the service there has been super slow and staff not great. However my past couple visits have been great. I am so glad everything is falling into place. I still prefer Fujiya for just sushi but Sushi Zushi for everything else and a fun atmosphere. My wife I think refers sushi Zushi better. Disclaimer I have been to all the locations but reviewed the med center one because I have been there the most often.

I’ve been to this so many times. I think I finally figured out the good items on the menu. The menu has so many types of sushi rolls. If you like rolls especially those with cream cheese, then you’ll like it. I don’t like cream cheese. I like the simple sushi. The charshi bowl is the best– you’ll get a good portion of sashimi on a bowl of rice. He yakkadshi(tofu) appetizer is also very good. If you’ll not in mood for sushi, the place has traditional Japanese food like udon, curry, fish. The place can be busy during rush hour so be prepared to wait a while for your sushi.

Sushi Zushi gets the job done but I’m never too enthused about my visits. I enjoy their late hours and happy hour. Service is always quick and attentive but nothing memorable. I’ll always get the Philly roll because I love how the avocado, cream cheese, and salmon come together. The San Antonio roll was surprisingly refreshing and had a nice bite to it, the thin cucumber outer layer was way better than the normal rice coatings. The chicken yakimeshi and miso soup have no wow factor and I feel I could whip up something tastier at home. I like that they have ample seating and is a nice place to meet up with friends for drinks and light eats. Sushi Zushi’s menu is ginormous and tends to overwhelm.
