Omg your salads are amazing… they ate to die for… a little pricy definitely but well worth it… everything is do fresh. the greens are amazing. the dressing is off the chain. definitely recommend this place… i wish there was a closer location to me… either over in our south park mall or the north west side… either way I don’t mind traveling for your salads… keep it up

I found this place very refreshing. I have eaten there a few times and decided to write a review. So glad to see San Antonio having healthier options in restaurants. I like that the line moves at a nice pace and there is a nice choice of teas to choose from for drinks. Not having a server is a plus because you do not feel rushed. My friend and I had a lot to catch up on and we stayed there for 2 hours. I feel the portions are generous and the place seems very clean.

I was really looking forward to becoming a regular here. If you’re coming for a good salad you found the right place. If you want to pay 10 dollars for it even better! Overall this place had a good selection of toppings, dressings, and proteins to choose from, but this being my first time being here I wanted to take away from the whole experience. I took away two stars because the service I received was horrible. I went with a friend, who recommended the place, around 1 which was probably a bit of lunch rush. There wasn’t much of line. They had 6 people working including a manager up in the front(I don’t know how many more in the back). One person for each station. One for putting in greens, one for veggies, one for dressings, one for proteins, and one for soups and bread. None of them were smiling, they all looked miserable to be there. All the ingredients are listed in front of the glass(with calories) as you’re going down the line so you can see them. Each person asks you want you want in your bowl as it’s going down the line. The thing is it’s going down there line faster then your line is even moving so you have someone asking you what you want when you’re not even in front of them! Very rushed. My friend previously told me you can try the dressings to see which you prefer to your liking as well. Which I did, and the girl working the counter seemed so unenthused to offer such a thing. Nearing the end of the line, where you can ask for soup with your salad, I was just about to ask and the lady immediately moved on to the next customers in line before I got a chance to. Those customers proceeded to ask her how she was doing and she stated back«how do you think I’m doing.» . I asked her for my soup anyway and she never responded so I wasn’t even sure she heard me, then I saw her get the soup I ask for and toss it down still with no response. In front of me my friend was asked if he wanted break, he said no, and the lady still put bread in there. Now that we’re nearing the end we can really too it off. The man as the cashier kindly asked my friend if he wanted a drink then finished the transaction. When I got to the register the man never asked me anything, never made eye contact. In fact he started having a conversation with the customers behind me because they were apparently regulars, he just held out his hand for my card. That’s no way to make new regulars. Overall the customer service quality was some of the worst I’ve ever seen. I work at a high volume starbucks store and there small lunch rush is no reason for such customer service. I will not be returning.

they have a large variety of fruits and vegetables for any ultimate salad. You pretty much create your own salad much like a chipotle. With the exception that it is with greens. Also worth noting is that they offer protein as well. They also charge for a water cup. Which still manages to shock me because I haven’t ever been charged for a water cup. It is good food that is guarantee fresh.

I really like the idea of this place. Everything always tastes very fresh, I do feel like it’s a tad over priced for what you get.

PRICE: Surprisingly, I would say that the price is pretty good considering there are several fresh ingredients and the size is quite a good amount. The small salad which is $ 7 fills me up for lunch time! FOOD: So I was impressed by Salata since there are so many different options and all the ingredients appear fresh. LETTUCE options include kale, their own mix, romaine hearts, spring mix, and spinach! TOPPINGS: tomato, cucumber, carrots, broccoli, red onion, mushrooms, radish, celery, bean sprouts, snow peas, cabbage, bell pepper, corn, cilantro, chick peas, green peas, alfalfa sprouts, red beans, black beans, green olives, black olives, beet, jalapeño, banana peppers, sundried tomatoes, jicama, and avocado. There are many fruits and cheese and nut options and dressing as well! PERSONALLY, I have only had their salads vegetable only so no clue about the MEAT quality here! A great option for those who want a healthy option!

I love this place when i want a nice bountiful salad with my choice of stuff. My only complaint is that they never have their act together at opening time. Example, Im here on Saturday and the lemons for the tea have not been put out. Also a customer had to wait because they had not turned on the bread warmer oven thing. Taking away a star for that. I go alot and the employee named Robyn was mixing my salad and kept tossing ingredients out of the bowl because she was busy talking to this other employee about what time he was coming in the next day. I really felt ripped off because instead of putting the ingredients back in the bowl, including chunks of chicken, she just threw it in the trash. Also, in another situation I ordered a regular salad and added chicken which comes with two scoops of chicken, well this guy getting a wrap behind me saw me get two scoops, guess he was not aware that a wrap only gets a scoop, and so he told the girl to give him an extra scoop and he was not charged for it. All I’m saying is that I expect better service for $ 12 a salad. Came again on Saturday at 5:40pm. Unfortunately, the clueless and immature Robyn was working. I know kids have to start somewhere just wished it wasn’t at Salata jacking up my $ 12 salad. I do not like how she mixes the salad, over does it and tosses ingredients out onto the counter this reducing the volume of my salad. Also, did not like how she dumped pita chip residue in my salad when I told her on the side. Complete imbecile. Went on Saturday again, might be my last time. They are being so stingy with the salad ingredients that it is so not worth $ 12 anymore. I will go spend $ 8 at Chik Fil A and get a grilled salad the same size.

I’ll admit it; I’m not the world’s biggest fan of salad. It always just seems a little – bland – to me. Salata, though, has really good options that you put together however YOU want. The veggies taste fresh, there are several different types of fruits to add, some bread choices, and a handful of different proteins. It’s a little pricey(nearly $ 10 for a salad), but it’s pretty good, too. I was particularly fond of the herb marinated chicken that I added to mine. I’ve tried the seafood mix before, too, and it’s also pretty solid. I’m not, however, a huge fan of their tea selections.

Salata is an incredible place. If you’re an avid salad lover, this place is like an oasis of fresh and delicious ingredients in a huge bowl. I have recently become a huge fan of salads from all over and Salata is my favorite place for salad. Even if you’re not a complete salad fanatic, the variety of ingredients will definitely help you enjoy your greens. I was craving Salata so bad that I had to stop in San Antonio on my way back to Austin just to get some. If you’re new to Salata, I strongly recommend going for the regular salad. It’s only $ 1 more than the small salad but the size is significantly better. You can choose from the greens, they have your standard spring mix, romaine, and a salata mix(a combination of greens). You can also add spinach or kale to it as well(I usually add spinach). You can then pack your salad with a bunch of veggies and other ingredients. I usually add tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, snow peas, chick peas, black beans, cucumber, corn, mushrooms, chopped egg, and feta cheese, You can then add protein which ranges from pesto chicken, spicy chipotle chicken, asian chick(?), quinoa, tofu, and even fish. I usually go for the spicy chipotle chicken. To top off the salad, you can add pita chips, croutons, or sesame sticks(all of them are good). I usually don’t get bread or soup, but those are other available options if you want more. The only gripe that I have is that the protein is relatively expensive. It can cost either $ 2 or $ 3 depending on which size salad you get. My salads usually end up being around $ 11.00 but I don’t mind since I’m an addict. I definitely recommend giving Salata a try, even if you’re not a big fan of salad. This location is just as good as any other location that I have been to.

Delicious! Some criticisms: *Not sure it’s worth $ 10 a salad. *the kids meal takes some planning. *the tables are way too small for how big the bowls are. My kid knocked his plate on the floor before he got his first bite. The manager graciously replaced his meal and cleaned up the mess. Good, but expensive.

Dollar off with a college ID! What a deal. Basically a free upgrade to a large salad. I never thought that a salad bar concept would ever become so successful. Everything was so fresh and served in big bowls(even the small salads)! I was full with a small. At 6 or 7 bucks(without a protein meat), this is a great deal. My salad even came with free bread, which was mediocre(but I didn’t pay extra for it so it’s fine). Even though the line is long, it goes by quickly. I am in love with the chipotle ranch dressing. You can even buy the dressings by the bottle. I can’t wait to try most of the dressings. You have the option of a wrap or a salad. Overall, it was a great experience. I love the croutons! I also love the cheese section where they have about four to choose from(even feta)!!

Someone told me to go to Salata because it’s like Chipotle but for Salads. I laughed in their face because… salads? Why would I go out of my way to get a salad for lunch when I can go get someone more filling elsewhere? It just doesn’t make sense. But guys — I was soooo wrong! Salata is a wonderful unicorn and somehow it works and makes sense. Everyone should come here! Everyone! The workers at Salata are crazy efficient. They do everything so seamlessly. It’s a salad assembly line and they are very good at it. If you want to come at a peak time and you have never looked over their options before — do yourself a favor and look through them! I can’t tell you how overwhelming all those dressing options were for me! I am a naturally indecisive person so it was a struggle. I just went with a flavor I normally liked and prayed it would make sense with the protein I picked. But honestly — if you didn’t look beforehand, don’t sweat it too much. Everything is very good. Why? Because it’s so fresh! Just pick your favorites and it will be alright. For my first order I got the spring mix with a variety of different toppings I like. I got the ginger lime dressing which turned out to be my favorite. It’s not too lime-y or ginger-y. The chipotle chicken is my favorite protein. It’s so good(and not that spicy)! Your order comes with bread but honestly — I’m not impressed by the bread. It pales in comparison to the salad in a big way. And I normally love bread. I’m a total carb monster. But the salad IS that good. One of the features of the restaurant is the calorie posting at each of the little stations. So you know what each bit will cost your calorie-wise. You can order a variety of drinks too. Their plastic takeout containers are really cute and they serve the salads in these big silver bowls if you decide to eat in. The seating options both indoor and outdoor are fantastic. So if you’re in the area and looking for something fresh, healthy and filling — this is it!

What a surprise how great Salata was! I came here on a lunch break with a co-worker and was pleasantly surprised how good this place was. For a city with not too many healthy options, Salata does a really great job providing a good salad with all of the options you could want! From fresh chicken, to a variety of lettuce variations, to all types of add-ins and dressings, you can’t go wrong with a bite from Salata. Highly recommended, definitely will be back!

I have yet to be disappointed in the freshness/quality of the food at the Salata chain’s that I’ve been to. I never really«crave» a salad or wrap, but every time I go here, I’m always glad I did. Even though it is a bit pricey, I always leave full or feeling a very healthy satisfied. Like I said(and like it’s been said), it’s a bit pricey for a wrap/salad. I know it’s fresh, but it doesn’t feel like green choices should cost this much. I haven’t tried this yet for my wrap options, but I know at Chipotle, if you ask for the bowl and then the tortilla separately, you get more for your buck. Let me know if you’ve tried this here and if it’s worked out well for you! My other issue is the seating. I’ve been to this location during lunch hours, and understandably it’s bit busy and a bit crowded. Though they keep the line moving decently, the seating set up doesn’t seem like it’s set up in the best possible way. This is probably a message more for upper management, but this is a hopping Salata location. If you want more customers coming in, I highly recommend getting the seating to arrange in a way that’ll fit more of your customers. All and all, fresh and delicious food, however a little pricey, and a bit crowded during rush hours.

Yes, all the veggies were very fresh and the options were plentiful but $ 13 for a salad? I don’t know, just doesn’t seem right to me. This place is just salads and soups. You can get real fancy with the salad, adding crab meat, fish, etc. We went during lunch so the line moved pretty slowly, seating was limited and the table arrangements required some maneuvering to get seated. I’m glad I checked it out to see what all the hype is about but honestly I probably won’t frequent this place. Seems a bit costly for a salad.

College student tip: you get a $ 1 discount with your student ID, but you have to ask for it! Every time I go to Salata I get a salad(I still have yet to try the wrap!) There are a bunch of choices of what to put on your salad besides just lettuce to keep eating healthy interesting. If you have never been here it can be a little confusing. It is a similar ordering style to a Subway in that you pick exactly what you want on your salad. Both of the locations in San Antonio are always very clean and a nice place for lunch or dinner.
