my husband and I were told how awesome this food is, now I will be honest Yes the brisket was tender and tasty, however they are not cheap and portions are not huge like we were told either. when we saw our sausage plate? ITWASSOMEPOKANDBEANSANDPOTATOSALAD not a fan both needed to be done over. Sausage was just ok 1 lil link, so I got a fish as well 1 piece it was good after reheated it once we got home. Honestly the family Ray, mother and father are delightful overall I will not be going back, they have this thing that the ribs are not cooked til after 3 p? really at the heat of day on bandera! totally not worth aggravation, too damn hot and expensive. NO A/C in tx not a good combo open at 11 but all food is not ready.

5 whopping stars!!! I came with a couple of friends and even though I saw«porkys» and I’m not too fond of pork, we were starving! They had brisket, sausage, and catfish on the menu so I decided on the catfish sandwich. The catfish was fried to perfection and was so white and fluffy. Like he went to a stream and picked the fish with his bare hands! ok not really haha. I was a little disappointed that there were no condiments on the sandwich but apparently that’s the«Memphis» way to eat it. He gave me his special BBQ sauce to put on it and that was aaaaall the sandwich needed! That sauce is a 10. I really wanted to try the Mac and cheese but he told me he runs out early in the day. I was a little bummed but he let me try the creamed corn which was absolutely delicious. There were construction workers in the front building something to accommodate future customers and the live jazz bands he plans to have soon. We all got into this long conversation that I forgot to ask his name! Lol but it doesn’t matter because I’m fa sho coming back for more of that awesome food and that Mac and cheese :)

I tried this truck and was disappointed. They provide ample servings but the pulled pork was completely overpowered by the cloying sweet sauce. It also didn’t taste fresh at all. The service was very friendly though.

Super yummy bbq! Was craving some good hole in the wall, non chain, bbq and this hit the spot! U can smell the smoke from the parking lot and it smelled good, well it tastes even better. Baked beans weren’t tooooooo sweet, my hubby doesn’t like baked beans usually and he finished them. Cole slaw was really yummy too. I got the mac n cheese and it was good ol southern baked mac, yumm. Brisket and ribs were just spot on gooooooooood! Will definitely come here again!

This is the new place for exceptional barbecue and is one of a kind in San Antonio. While there is lots of Texas barbecue around, none from the home of Graceland. I miss it so! The new shop is just around the corner from the old location, which was very hard to see from the road. They have been closed for several months(several long, painful, BBQ free months) while they renovated and moved into a new location. The space they occupy now is quite large and can sit a good number of people(at least 20 tables). And the food? Divine. Wonderful slow smoked pulled pork in a sweet sticky sauce, smothered in Memphis slaw and put in a bun — I just had one and I am drooling as I write this description. Their homemade sausage links are also tasty. I’ve been so stuck on the pork that I have yet to try the beef ribs or brisket, though it is only a matter of time. I have tried a sample of the turkey, which is also supremely yummy — well seasoned, moist and tender. Amazing BBQ baked beans, mac & cheese and peach cobbler await you, among other sides and desserts. The staff is very friendly and the family that runs the place is from(you guessed it) Memphis. So glad they are open again!

It’s actually not ready yet. Why put up a sign before the place is even restored?
