Unfortunately I have to leave an update. On a recent visit after signing my kids in was told that it was busy… ok I don’t mind waiting. As the kids are playing I notice people coming in are being seen first. After about 45 minutes I went up to the front desk to find out what was up. Was told«Sorry ma’am but people who check in online are seen first.» Now logic would tell you to toggle sign ins with online check ins, but that is not what happens hete. As we are having this convo I see a guy checking his kid in on his phone, so then I am told«oh sorry we are full for the day, but you can come back tomorrow.» Then I get to listen to my kids cry in the car for 20 minutes in 5 o’clock traffic after waiting over an hour and still no haircut. Best check in online or you’re screwed. Best believe I will NEVER come here again.

Very nice place, bright and inviting and kid friendly and good prices is my opinion. Only thing is we called to ask about getting my daughters bangs trimmed and were told an appointment was made and there wouldn’t be a long wait, when we arrived we waited over an hour. The staff were friendly and even put on frozen for my daughter since it’s her favorite movie, but the wait was just too long for just her bangs to be trimmed. Also, my daughter wanted side bangs, not straight blunt bangs. The girl who trimmed them did them choppy looking and uneven. I love the location and everything about the salon except the quality, if you can’t even get a bang trim right then I’m scared to take her back for an actual haircut.

I don’t see the point of a checklist on the sign in page when they don’t read it. We had to state twice that it was our daughters first haircut and only then did they understand. No shampoo no blow dry as requested. I will not return as such details were greatly overlooked. Only getting two stars as the movie playing did help my daughter relax.

Very very disappointed! After researching kids salons in San Antonio we took our 6 month son here to get his very long hair cut for the 1st time which we all know is a big deal! Everything seemed fine until I got him home, bathed and got his hair blow dried. The back was uneven as well as the front! The sides were left long hanging over his ears! Called the following morning so I could take him back in and get it fixed which wasn’t a problem. The second time around it looks a LITTLE better but he looks like a miniature version of Jim Carey from Dumb&dumber with a bowl cut! $ 40 later and still unhappy! Will be taking him somewhere else tomorrow to see if the 3rd times the charm! At this point I think I would have done a better job with my kitchen scissors!

The nearest place that specializes in children’s cuts is two hours from where we live. The places by us all wanted to take buzzers to our son’s head and no one would use scissors to cut his hair because he is only two. We were in town visiting and decided on here for his first haircut ever. It looks wonderful! They cleaned up his head, he still has curls, the hair is out of his face without blunt bangs, and no buzz cut! I’m not sure how the stylist managed to cut his hair straight with him squirming and looking all over, but she did. She got him to look where she needed, changed the movie to his favorite characters, put up with shutter-happy parents, and was all-around fantastic.

I can’t find another place that I like better. My son’s hair always looks great and gets compliments. The stylists keep notes on how he likes his hair styled, which saves me another thing to keep track of. I’m sometimes tempted to try out a chain place, but they never deliver on the look that we regularly get here. I even think the prices are reasonable– but I wouldn’t go for an $ 8 haircut. I read all the low star reviews and think those folks had bad experiences. However none of that reflects the service I have received here.

I forgot the name of the person who cut our sons hair but she did a good job. Either Kim or Brittany… I forgot(my first time going there). Our son never cried through his first haircut. the lady kept our son in a good mood because she kept talking to him, she just had a way with kids, which is awesome! He especially Loved the lollipop he got to have, lol. It’s been about two months since his last cut, and his hair is growing back fast. I went on February 4th. I would recommend this place for a first haircut, cute salon and great service!

I walked with my family and was greeted immediately by a friendly staff. My son is kind of a haircut monster, he screams kicks and cries. This place has toys and tv’s playing kids movies and the chairs are awesome cars or planes. I thought my son would behave seeing as how this place has everything he could want. My son was not good but his stylist Kim was amazing. She did amazing with my kid and gave an awesome haircut. I for sure recommend this place and we will keep returning.

I took my 14 month old son for his first haircut and this place is amazing! Kim was very patient with him did a great job keeping him entertained. The price was also very reasonable, and I also appreciated the military discount. I will definitely bring him back again next time we’re in the area.

I like them here. The wait is always 30 minutes to a hour but the staff is pretty friendly. Kim always does my son’s hair and she fast and it looks really good. My son is always so scared and crying all the time. But she’s really good and to the point. I went to other kids cuts and this one is the best. The other ones at the forum do horrible haircuts. It’s only 5 minutes and then they charge you 20 bucks. Not worth it. I will stick with coming here from now on.

If my son didn’t love playing video games while he got his hair cut, we wouldn’t come. They are very nice but VERY slow. They need more stylists because making a kid wait 50+ minutes after being told«we will be right with you» is unacceptable in this mom’s book!

After almost 14 months we finally broke down and took our son for his first haircut. P & C was recommended to us by our pediatrician and we all loved it. They have a first haircut package where you get to take a photo and they put a few locks of baby hair in a baggie and tape it all together in an adorable card. They were even patient as I got in their space and took pictures of the experience from every angle. I couldn’t have asked for more. They were so sweet and kind to our son who actually had a great time in the police car chair. We will definitely go back!

I wasn’t as impressed with this place as I thought I would be. Main reason is that the ladies working there were very unfriendly, barely cracked a smile at my kids and frankly acted like they did not want to be there(My kids are ages 2&4). I guess I just expected that a place which caters to kids would have employees working there that at least tried a little harder to be kid friendly and engaging. The one girl told my 2yr old repeatedly in an annoyed way to stay still and watch the movie(which was a movie way beyond her years). I don’t care how cute the place is, if your employees aren’t playing the«we like kids part» then it doesn’t work. I’m adding a star to my original 2stars bc the haircuts themselves turned out cute and they offer a military discount. I’m not writing this place off entirely… just hope they get some staff that cater better to kids.

Conveniently located to the Quarry. Geared towards really young ones and more little girls than boys. My son’s hair looks terrific! Regular hair cut is $ 18, so be prepared to spend some dough especially if you have girls. They have a nice selection of organic hair product, bows, ribbons and hair extensions. If I had a little girl she would want to get her hair done at this place all the time I am sure :)

This place is just another kids haircut shop. They have TVs blaring Dora and some broken and missing toys for the kids to play with, my five year was totally unimpressed. The employees were polite but not warm and friendly which is something I look for in a place I’m taking my kids. They also cut my sons hair way too short. I was very specific in what I wanted and I don’t feel she listened at all. $ 17.95 for a haircut. We left without a balloon or a lollipop. Back to Sharkey’s we go.

I took my 18 month old for his first haircut, I wanted to do the whole picture and lock of hair thing so that I could put it in his baby book. He wasn’t very excited about having someone in his personal space, but he did well. Unfortunately, he got the worst haircut ever, he looks like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber, the girl just cut STRAIGHT in the front, it looks terrible. I really feel that I could have done a better job!!! Then to make matters worse, she used the clippers and CUT his neck!!! I took pictures, and I will upload later. When I realized that he was hurting, i asked the girl if she had any ointment or something to make it stop itching and hurting and she said she didn’t know, she asked her manager and in front of me said that he had scratched his own neck. I’m sorry, but my child is not Edward Scissorhands, so cutting his neckline like that is impossible. I wanted to like this place and chose it over the other children’s haircut places because of the 5 star review. From now on, mom will be the one doing the haircuts.

My two children(ages 7 and 3) absolutely LOVED this sweet children’s salon and boutique. It’s very similar to Cool Cuts For Kids, only much better! There is a separate playroom for the children, and the toys are new, clean, and engaging(no toys were broken or dirty like at many other kids salons). What’s even better is I was able to get some Christmas shopping done as they were getting their hair cut — there is a great selection of Melissa & Doug toys, along with other high-end toy brands and kid products. I was able to check many of the kids in our family off the shopping list! We will definitely return here again and again!
