Fresh and very good. Combination Phở and fresh spring rolls were very tasty. Service was extremely polite and attentive. First time dinner at this place for everyone at the table and we will definitely return. BYOB

Phở is consistently good, Lemongrass chicken has been fresh my last two times ordering it. Don’t take the rude and dismissive guy to heart, he’s that way to everyone. The boba tea is great in comparison to area boba makers.

I really like the pork vermicelli… The pork is really flavorful. The service is only ok and the atmosphere is… Ok. But that’s fine because I come here for the pork vermicelli and it’s really good. You come and you eat and you leave. Nice.

Very nice looking inside. Phở was good. Fresh rolls are the best I’ve had in San Antonio. Spring rolls were the worst I’ve ever had in my life lol.

Delicious food, clean environment, good selection earn it 4 stars. Service was speedy but seemed a little rush so that denies it its 5th. Would definitely recommend it tho. Good for a small group of friends on a Friday night

Cheap and filling, if you hit Kim Long on a good night, you’ll be glad you swung by. Consistency is the main problem here, you could order the same dish ten times and get no fewer than five different experiences. For a BYOB neighbourhood haunt with quick service and a casual crowd, there are far worse places you could spend your time and money. Portions are generous and though you may have to repeat yourself a few times to convey what you’re looking for(the staff is … authentic), the service is pleasant. When they have the ingredients, the chinese broccoli with thin slices of beef is my go-to, but the seafood noodle soup or the pan fried noodles would be acceptable backups. My recommendation is to head over on a day it’s not too hot(they never run the A/C) but stop across the street at the liquor store and have Gil hook you up with a chilled rosé, then settle in and order a few courses with an open mind. But maybe call first, their hours are inconsistent and they seem to close whenever they feel like it, ignoring the postings on the door.

Grilled pork rolls were they best ones we’ve had in San Antonio. We didn’t care for the Vietnamese egg rolls. We ordered 2 steak phos and a side of grilled pork to see how it would taste in the phở. We preferred the steak and won’t be getting the grilled pork phở. Just our preference. The broth was very good and we were very surprised about the shitty reviews because the service was also good.

This is by no means my favorite phở place, but it fares well in San Antonio. The broth is great all on it’s own, which usually indicates a good recipe, but I still doctor it up anyway. The service isn’t the best, which is actually fine with me — I usually stop in here to eat a quick lunch on my own. However, I’ve gone without refills plenty of times, so just be aware of that. It’s worth the trip and probably the best phở in this part of town.

If i would rate a lowest star, I want to rate NEGATIVE5STARS. Their customer service is so rude and totally not good. I saw they had good reviews so that is why I come here, but i’m so disapppoint. They should take a customer class before they work. NEVERCOMEBACK

Small location with affordable prices. Menu needs improvement… not too many dishes compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in San Antonio. Try the sandwiches which are really good and fresh. Waitress(lady that works on weekdays) not friendly nor accommodating. Always prefer the owner and family member to give our order.

I’ve only had the phở here, but that stuff is delicious. It has the perfect flavor, and the meat is good quality. The service is okay; not horrible, but our waitress did check on us a couple of times. Will definitely be coming back here for phở!

The food is good, but the service was horrendous. I had to ask the surly waiter twice for water after waiting for anyone to pay attention to my table for a good 10 minutes. Also, they keep their, silverware in a plastic bin on the table. I don’t think that’s even sanitary.

If you don’t need to become best friends with the waitstaff, but like quick service, hot food, and good prices, you’ll be pleased. Don’t expect to be coddled, chatted up, or anything other than fed. I got a smile once during Spurs season when we came in to pick up take-out and chatted over the pre-game on their tv. No one is rude, but they aren’t about to ask you over for a beer after the joint closes down. That’s ok. I don’t feel the need to be showered with love wherever I go. I do need tasty, hot, food, at a reasonable speed. Most everything I’ve had is good. It’s not the best, but it’s close by, fast, and reasonably priced. If that’s what you are looking for, then you’ve got it.

Service wasn’t very great, not that they were slow or anything. Just no warmth or welcoming staff. The food, however, was great. At first the pink pad Thai made me a it uneasy about taking a bite, but it was so good! One of the better ones I’ve come across in San Antonio. I also got the Thai tea which was equally great. Overall it was good food which is what matters, and I would definitely come again.

Has anyone realized how dirty the name of this place is? Fu-k’em-long… Well, the service is just as bad as the name. We stood around for a few minutes when we walked in confused because even though they weren’t busy, no one acknowledged us. That should have been my first warning sign. Finally I just picked a table and we sat down. After a few minutes the owner(grumpy old man) came to bring us menus and literally threw them at the other side of the table and walked away. He didn’t even pass one of the menus to a single person. When we were ordering someone asked what was better between two dishes they couldn’t decide on and he wouldn’t give a recommendation. The only food I like here is the Phở. I personally was not a fan of their orange chicken and thought it was very spicy. The egg roll wasn’t really good either. I ordered fried rice and to my surprise it did not come with anything in it, like egg, celery, etc. I do have to say that their slushee Thai tea with boba is my FAVORITE! I’ve had other slushee Thai teas, but this is the best I’ve had in San Antonio and Dallas. If you’re looking for a quick cheap meal that isn’t fast food, then I would try phở kim long because at least their phở is good.

I love phở; I mean really really love phở. I was very disappointed upon visiting this restaurant in January. I really hope they’ve gotten their act together because the broth wasn’t much more flavorful than water. It had all the ingredients traditional phở contains, but tasted like the ingredients didn’t have any«time to mingle», leaving it regrettably bland. I’ll give them another try, but will say I’m surprised by the love for them on Unilocal unless I caught them on a severe off-night, or they had run out and tried to cut a few corners to get something on the table for us.

Today I tried something different — HT6. This is a vermicelli based soup with wontons, sliced roast pork, veggies. A very nice soup. Not overpowering. No extra plate of weeds to put in the soup. It’s just fine the way it comes. Give it a shot.

Good food and service was not bad. Was waited on within 1 minute and served within 10 mins. Good broth for Phở. Good amount of meat(given the name guess I should expect it). Side veggies for fixing the Phở was fresh. Appears they don’t use a broth mix but rather real broth. Didn’t detect the typical MSG at most Phở shops. I’d go back given my first experience.

Again, another funny named establishment in Olmos neighborhood! Hilarious. The owner HAS to know, right? I’m sure this was named on purpose. If not, oops. The good— Phở with veggies. Although, I have to best honest, it wasn’t the best. But, it had plenty of veggies in a very large bowl and the soup was flavorful. The average– Spring rolls. Their veggie spring roll consisted of lettuce, noodles and tofu. I think it had like once piece of carrot in there, I can’t remember. Where’s the avocado? The bad– Pad Thai. I know, I know, why would anyone get a Pad Thai in a Vietnamese restaurant? But if it’s gonna be on the menu, it needs to be ATLEAST average. Seriously, they need to take that off the menu. You can’t serve that to people, it’s embarrassing. Add it all up– two stars! Congrats.

Very good food, very fair prices. Open from 10 am to 9 pm 7 days a week. So good for brunch or a latter dinner. The phở is quite delicious here, and so is the bahn mi. For an appetizer they have a crispy fried squid that is delicious especially when dipped in the chili oil. The restaurant is very clean and the décor is relaxing and comfortable. Definitely my go to place for phở. I hope this place survives. The location has been a curse to other restaurants that have tried to make it here. With the cold winter we have been having a phở is phở-sure to warm one up. 0 .
