This food is amazing! I will be back again and again. We enjoyed the lamb dish and tamales as well as the anti-inflammatory shots that came as a flight of 4. We met the chef and she was warm and wonderful which I think may have added to the positive experience. Parking may be daunting as the restaurant is downtown right by the Tobin Center, but don’t let that deter you. The best part is, when you leave you feel so nourished. :)

The best experience ever. Our food was amazing and the atmosphere is gorgeous. Can’t wait to take a class there in regards to health and eating for my type.

I had the best meal I’ve ever eaten in San Antonio at Pharm Table. Everything was top notch. We arrived late on a Saturday night, and although we were there close to closing time we were accommodated without any problems. We opted to order one of each of the three a la carte choices for the evening; the ceviche, the quinoa tamales, and the mezze platter. We shared these three dishes between the two of us and it was just the right amount of food considering we were pretty hungry after a long day in SA. The ceviche was done in the traditional Peruvian/Ecuadorian style which I like very much, with fresh raw fish in a leche de tigre broth with veggies and sweet potatoes. I was so happy to find this style of ceviche, because generally the Mexican style of ceviche is more popular in these parts but I much prefer the South American variety. The fish was fresh and delicious and the leche de tigre was so good I ate up every last drop. I’d definitely order the ceviche again. The Tamales were kind of a healthy twist on traditional Mexican tamales with quinoa grains inside the«dough» part which was different but in a good way. Everything in the Mezze platter was delicious. The pickled vegetables tasted fresh and not overwhelming. The hummus was great too. It’s so nice to eat at a restaurant and leave feeling more healthy than when you walked in. Most places I’ve been to in San Antonio, particularly Tex Mex food tastes great but leaves me feeling bloated and unhealthy, so this was really a welcome change. If you’ve ever in San Antonio, I highly recommend walking off the beaten track of the River Walk and eating at Pharm Table. The River Walk is a nice place to visit and maybe have a drink, but as far as dining goes, Pharm table beats every other restaurant by a mile(and it’s less than a mile to walk there). We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

After making the trek downtown during my work day, I thought I’d stop in to check out Pharm Table for lunch. At 11 I was the only person in the restaurant. I had to ask about parking, because their website specifies that parking is free in their lot facing the Tobin, but the spots say«reserved for creative something or other» and definitely do not say Pharm Table. The server assured me that these are the reserved spots, however. After ordering at the counter, I sat down and enjoyed some of their house tea with mint and other delicious things. Super good. I’d drink tea all day long if I could get someone to make this for me! It’s a bit pricy, but I think it’s worth it! I started with a half salad with kale and other fresh veggies. It was good and light, and I think it’s a nice starter size. And then my delicious, amazing veggie tacos came out. Oh. My. God. Each one was different, filled with different veggies, sauces, and flavors. All filled within corn tortillas(because this place is gluten free) and made vegan, these were seriously some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. They photograph beautifully as well, as do all of Pharm Table’s dishes, because plant based eating can be just so damn colorful! Although the price point was high for some items, the $ 10 plate of tacos was WELL worth it. I’d order those things again and again. I also tried some of their date bites, which were good but not worth the $ 5. I’d skip those next time and instead order a coffee. The only downfalls are the location(for me) since it’s not very conveniently located to me or for parking, and the hours. Currently they’re only open for lunch on weekdays, and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Anyway, I think Pharm Table is great, and I love what they’re doing for the downtown scene. Providing healthy versions of San Antonio favorites is what more places should be doing. And although I don’t put much stock into their nutrition philosophy, I do love me some veggies as well as locally sourced ingredients and menu changes based on season. Five stars!

I went there today for lunch and I don’t think you could pay me to go back. We walked in to a very awkward beginning. There were three employees that said hello very briefly and said«let me know if you have any questions.» Questions? I thought this was a restaurant. I guess they won’t be seating us… We told them we would like to have lunch and they basically pointed to a menu that had a couple of items listed but no explanation of what the dishes contained. We asked questions on a couple of items and did not get a clear answer on what they actually were. This was specifically true for the starter that the girl described as a «party in your mouth» and described how flavorful it was but did not even tell us what it was. We blindly ordered it and that was a mistake. It ended up being two small spoons of disgusting liquid for $ 2 each. We also ordered tacos and the item of the day which was quinoa, lentils, and veggies. This was one of the most bland entrees I have ever had. No flavor. The tacos were better but definitely not worth going back for. The meal was $ 28 and my fiancé and I left hungry. If the food was amazing I wouldn’t have minded as much, but it tasted like nothing. The restaurant was a giant open room in the bottom of a building with a couple of tables drowning in open space, so the environment didn’t help their situation. I was also disappointed because the reviews I read talked about how passionate the employees are about what they do and the food they provide, but we got none of that. They told us nothing. I guess this restaurant is new and I have no idea how they are going to survive. Bad food. Bad customer service. Bad environment.

I really enjoyed my food here, although both times that I’ve ordered take out, I’ve waited 30 – 40 minutes for food, often when almost no one is in the restaurant. I understanding it takes time in making food to order for freshly prepared cuisine, but it’s hard not to be frustrated when you’re one of two customers waiting for food on a lunch break. Of what I’ve eaten, my favorite so far was the cardamom date balls and the veggie tacos.

We found this place on Unilocal looking for vegetarian food, though they have fish as well. The 3 items we ordered were each excellent! Very tasty and healthy! Nice atmosphere and service too.

Delicious food. But like others have said price to portion size is way off. With tip I spent $ 18 and I’m leaving hungry.

Portions are very small. Like appetizer small. Do not come here expecting a full course meal. Parking is awful as well. There’s no parking lot, you’ll have to park on the street and pay for street parking. Now to the good stuff! The food was delicious. Despite the parking and portions, the décor, food, and head chef more than made up for the trouble. I highly recommend taking clients here or ordering multiple dishes so that you don’t leave hungry.

Pharm Table is a most welcome addition to the downtown lunch scene. Pharm Table utilizes fresh locally sourced items to make fresh tasty and healthy meals. So the menu is constantly changing depending what is in season. I have loved absolutely everything that I have had here. I’ve had some amazing soups, salads and squash vermicelli bowls. The service is fantastic and the eagerness to share the philosophy behind the food is enthusiastic and so very helpful. There is a nice patio so you can sit outside on nice days if you choose. Pharm Table also offers cooking classes some evenings so you can take the healthy philosophy home. The food is so good. Proof a healthy diet does not mean sacrificing flavor.

What a great jewel so close to downtown, yet miles away in feel!!! Located in a peaceful and artsy building, this was a great oasis for those looking for a fabulously healthy, in season, local sources meal. Check online for the updated menu but the carrot soup is divine.

First, parking is incredibly difficult unless you follow them on Instagram and they usually tell you where to park!(Thank you!) Second, I was starving after I left here, and I ordered ALOT of food… The concept is great, I get it, I want to love it. Locally sourced food, knowing what you eat, no wheat, no dairy, no meat. All of this is fine if it was really, really tasty. But sadly it just wasn’t. I wanted to love this place, but the food tasted incredibly bland. I ordered their root salad, which was good but needed some kind of salt. I also ordered their broccoli soup and Thai fried rice bowl. The broccoli soup was good but not hot enough, more like room temperature. The«Thai» fried rice bowl had a few pieces of curried chick peas on a bed of a mixed rice and lentils possibly? The flavors were not there, it needed more spice, more coconut, more something. Just bland. I was constantly putting salt on my food, and I never do this! I understand its a healthier version of everything, but there’s no need to be stingy on spice, right? When I left to walk to my car, my stomach actually grumbled. «Damn am I still hungry?» Yes, in fact I seriously was. I just wanted some whataburger after this experience…

FINALLY! A fresh, healthy vegetarian/vegan restaurant in San Antonio! The food is great and the people are friendly. I love that the menu changes daily. Eating there today made my day. I am very happy that this place exists. Go check it out!

I had the Spiced Curry Chickpea Bowl to go. It was very good and the owner spoke to me about the philosophy of the company. It is yummy, would order more than one thing if eating it for a full meal though.
