My husband and I love Pasha’s. His usual is the large Greek salad with chicken shawarma while mine is the chicken kabob with half rice half salad. The Greek salad is my husband’s absolute favorite. We’ve tried other things on the menu, like the veggie plate and the appetizer sampler and I don’t think we’ve had a bad thing. The hummus is very smooth and creamy which I absolutely love. I’m a huge fan of dolma and Pasha’s has the best around town. A friend of mine used to make these from scratch(so they’re made to order and not mass produced so super moist and fresh) and while Pasha’s isn’t quite to that level, it’s extremely close. We grab this takeout once a week — it’s become a staple in our household!

One of my favorite restaurants ever. Love the atmosphere and the food is to die for! I always get the gyro wrap with also comes with a Greek side salad. Definitely recommend! Also not too pricey which is a plus. I love that they bring out pita bread and olive oil with herbs to dip and munch on before the meal. I go to this one and the one on wurzbach and they are always consistent with great/fast service and amazing food. The sweet tea is also unique. It has sort of a hint of jasmine which I very pleasant and satisfying. Try it!

I am not Persian but I spent 36 years around Persians, including being married to one and I know good authentic Persian food and bad Persian food. First of all the restaurant itself had some décor that you could typically find a nice Persian restaurant such as the elaborate chandeliers and the way that they made with the interior giving you the feel that you were eating outside. I had a very good waiter who apparently had only been here for 7 months. I complemented his excellent English for being here such a short time. Because I required gluten-free, the manager was brought over to make sure I was ordering things that were gluten-free. They gave to each table fresh bread that they called Naan which is supposed to be Indian bread. Of course I could not eat that but it sure smelled good. So it was very different then most Persian restaurants in California and other states I have eaten Persian food where they normally serve fresh bread with raw onion, Persian cheese and watercress. I ordered food to eat there. I had the ghormeh sabzi stew.(green vegetable stew) which came with a plate of rice and a small grill tomato and grilled zucchini and mushrooms. The stew was good but not excellent. It truly needed more dried Limon add salt and pepper. Traditionally Persian restaurants will serve a large platter of rice with a large grilled tomato. This was the first time I’ve seen grilled vegetables being served with the stew rice. The next one I tried was the khoreste badamjan(eggplant stew) which also came with the same size plate of rice small grilled tomato and vegetables. This stew is one of my favorites but it was the worst I ever had. The amount of eggplant and the size of the pieces was fantastic but it was so bland. It did not contain the traditional Persian spices to give it the flavor it should’ve had as well as salt and pepper. I got some items to go so I could try them at home later. I got an order of Chelo kebab and it was quite disappointing that it too was not seasoned with the sumac that it should’ve had as well as salt and pepper again. I also noticed that the quality of the hamburger meat was not very high. I actually a couple of times bit into something hard and had to spit it out. It didn’t have that flavor of the grated onion that goes into the meat and you can usually tell if saffron was added into the meat because of that little tinge of yellow that’s inside the meat and I didn’t see that at all. There was absolutely no sumac on the outside of it nor mixed into it. It came with the same amount of rice the small tomato add the vegetables. I also took home and tried the Dolmeh and again it didn’t have the right flavors inside and was very bland and the grapeleaf didn’t seem like it was cooked enough. So I only gave this place three stars because the server and the manager were excellent at their jobs. I would highly recommend that this place start with making a change to their food by cooking it with the traditional Persian spices and not worry about one or two people that may not like something. Not every person is going to like everything on any restaurants menu. The whole idea of going to a Persian restaurant is to experience the Persian culture which should be reflected 100% in the food and as much of the ambience/décor as possible. I’ve never visited a Persian restaurant that had a non-Persian server or host/hostess. it takes away from that cultural experience. The same holds true with Chinese restaurants I’ve been to which have been a few, that the ambience is Chinese décor Chinese servers Chinese host etc. Also this place also does not serve any alcohol at all. I’ll tell you if someone invested and opening a real Persian restaurant here in the San Antonio area which includes the Parisian décor, serving alcohol, traditional Persian food that is cooked the way it supposed to be and live Persian entertainment on Fridays and Saturday nights like belly dancers Persian bands or singers they could make a lot of money here. Especially once people experience a place like this they’re not gonna want to go to a place like Pasha because they’re going to know how the food really should taste and be. It is such a beautiful culture. The dancing is beautiful the music is beautiful and sexy. The food is awesome and addicting. Last year in February I took my family for our first Persian food in this area to Zaytune. It actually was better flavor wise then Pasha but the ambience wasn’t as good at least not as good as this Pasha. I haven’t been to their other restaurants. Well stay tuned because I’ll be having Persian food at some Houston restaurants. Apparently they have a larger Persian community and therefore more restaurants. We’ll see if I find one like I described above. Anyway if you’ve been going here you have not had real Persian food. What a shame.

Pasha does nearly everything very well. Not only is their food darn good, but I always walk away feeling like I got my money’s worth. Like all the Pasha restaurants, they start you off with a giant, freshly backed piece of bread. This comes with an olive oil and seasoning dipping sauce. That alone could nearly make a meal. I ordered the gyro wrap sandwich(comes with a Greek salad). The meat is very flavorful as well as plentiful. The salad is quite large too and comes with the dressing on the side. My wife ordered their fish wrap(also with Greek salad) which is a lightly battered white fish wrapped in a «tortilla» with some slaw and sauce. This was also very tasty and sufficiently filling. If you arrive during peak lunch/dinner hours, you might have to wait.

Unlimited delicious crisp flatbread with hummus served right when we were seated! Ordered the grape leaf rolls and Gyro! Portions are large enough to share. Prices are average. Service was good at the table, but first impression was not. The hostess didn’t smile once, she was short and borderline rude. We had a larger party and originally we were told it would take 25 – 30 minutes, we were seated after 45 minutes.

What a super experience! A client told me about this Persian gem of a restaurant during a recent business trip to San Antonio. When I arrived and asked for an item not listed on the menu, I attracted the attention of the manager/owner who asked whether I was Persian. I told him my mom was Persian and we began speaking in the native language. He explained they do not typically make the menu item about which I inquired(Tahdig) but that he would be happy to make it especially for me if I were to call him prior to my next visit. In the meantime, I ordered my food and waited. Within 15 minutes, the manager/owner appeared with a huge grin on his face, holding a large bag. He had gone out of his way on a busy evening to prepare the item that was not on their menu. Not only was I incredibly flattered, but also, very impressed. He refused to charge me for it! The rest of my meal was delicious! There was so much food, I could not eat it all. I will most definitely return!

Seriously can’t believe how many times I’ve been to Pasha and this is my first review! Apparently this is their second location, original is on wurzbach and the newest location is across from the forum. This is the only location I’ve been to so not sure how the others fare. The atmosphere is so cute and authentic. Awesome chandeliers make for an interesting ambience. Once you’re seated they bring you fresh delicious naan with dipping oil, super yum! I always get the swaharama trio, which is lamb, beef and chicken also comes with fresh hummus and a greek salad. Its always fresh and tasty! Our waitress was super nice and helpful. This was the first time i tried the Turkish coffee though it was very interesting! I really loved the presentation too! I’ll surely be back!
