If I could put zero stars I would. Don’t go visit this place. The manager Laura Vargas slept with my boyfriend and developed a relationship behind my back. I visited here for Valentine’s Day after my boyfriend bought me a massage from her. Just found out they’ve been cheating yesterday. Dirty girl!

I waited until my membership was over to review this place. I got a membership last year for a Treat To Self gift. It’s an automatic withdrawal of $ 59.99 for 12 months. You get a credit on your account for a massage or a facial and they accumulate, so you can wait and use two for a double session one day. Overall, I didn’t feel like it was worth it because the quality of the facials and massages really varied visit to visit. Sometimes I would have a great massage and a really cleansing facial. Once I had this terrible massage by this very rude employee who kept talking about my tattoos and who’s stomach kept brushing on me even after I said it made me uncomfortable. A few times I would get a facial and get home and still see clogged spots. In fact, only twice out of eight facials I’ve gotten have the employee checked for extractions or blemishes. The facials also come with a ten dollar product charge, and every single time after a session they will hold you hostage out front to try to sell you products. I have honestly said«I’m not going to buy these» and they tell me they have to stop you & try to sell them or they get in trouble. I could understand a first time client but not an eleventh lol Overall, it was a nice treat but I’m glad to get my sixty bucks a month back.

Although I have had facials before, and at ME, this was the first one at the ME location at Westover. it was a last minute change due to the fact that my massage therapist was unable to take me. the appointment was at 2 pm and before noon I got a call letting me know and offering a facial for the same time. Since my husband’s massage was still on, I said what the heck. Nancy was a few minutes late coming to get me, but was very friendly and did not rush the experience at all. Love how they explain to you what they are putting on your face as they get to each step, and we discussed my concerns and expectations before starting. We opted for a sensitive skin facial, due to my concern over the climate change(I recently moved to dry and arid TX after a lifetime of East Coast humidity) and my overly dry skin. the products(Murad) were just what the doctor ordered. my redness was not acerbated and I definitely had an improvement to the dry spots.

I was here about two or three weeks ago. I can’t remember exactly who I had but the massage was great! The only problem was he was sneezing and coughing the entire time. And a few days later… I’m sick too! It lasted for about 4 days. Even though I had an hour of bliss — I had days of feeling terrible. I just don’t think you should come to work, touching people and and coughing in a closed room with someone when you’re sick. :(

Edit: I am editing this because the manager saw my review and called to follow up. I explained to her why I was unhappy with my experience and agreed that I should have never been paired with a therapist who does not specialize in deep tissue massages. I was offered to go back and try another one hour session with the right therapist for free, and my husband was offered to go back and try another hour at the introductory rate as his original therapist, Daniel, had left. I was very satisfied with the person in charge cares and had taken the initiative to correct this problem and I cannot be happier with Charlotte, the original therapist I was supposed to be pair with. She is great and very thorough. She explains to me exactly what she’s doing etc. I highly recommend her and she is hard to book! Unfortunately my husband ended up not liking the second therapist he tried and may not return again, but I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get regular massages. Original review: We were recommended to try Massage Envy by a friend who has been going to one of their locations in Austin and thinks it’s quite good for its price, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. Although there are a few locations closer to us, as this place has the highest ratings, we didn’t mind venture a bit farther out for better service. I had initially requested for an appointment online, expecting them to give me a call to confirm. When they didn’t do that after 2 days, I decided to call in myself and make a last minute appointment for 2 for the following day. I had requested 2 deep tissue massages with therapists who are very strong, so we were booked with Daniel and Charlotte. We were also warned that as they are getting their place repainted, there could be linger paint smell when we go in. I said it was okay. We didn’t mind. 15 minutes before our appointment, I received a call saying that they feel the smell was still really strong and gave us the option to rebook if we feel it may bother us. 1. we had already left the house so really, it was kind of inconvenient to rebook and 2. we really didn’t care. Without actually being there, there’s no way of knowing whether the smell would bother us at all. I ended up not smelling anything at all for the entire time I was there and neither did my husband. There were several associates(maybe 5 or 6?) standing by the counter when we arrived. We checked in and was asked to fill out some forms, etc. It really wasn’t a very warm welcoming. I’m not sure what it was… maybe it was a lack of eye contact, lack of smiles. I’m not sure. It was just a not so welcoming feeling. After filling out the forms and reiterating again that we both needed someone strong, we were greeted by Daniel(expected) and Mari(unexpected). The massage rooms were what I had expected: low key, no fuss for a professional un-spa like massage and that is how I like it. The music on the other hand was a bit too loud for my taste. This is supposed to be relaxing, no? Less than five minutes into my massage, I had to tell Mari twice to go harder, like«really, you can go a lot harder». She did, for about two strokes and went back to her original pressure. The whole time during the massage I was thinking how my chihuahua felt heavier when I make him step on my back. Mari was hitting all the right places but the lack of pressure really left me feeling the same as when I entered the door, so needless to say, this was a waste of money and time for me. My husband, on the other hand, like Daniel and said he was strong enough and would definitely consider going back, so it really depends on who you get I guess. When we were getting ready to check out, I asked why I wasn’t paired with Charlotte as I was told. Unfortunately Charlotte had gone home sick that morning so Mari was a last minute replacement, which was fine, but then I was told that the massage I got was a deep pressure massage, which is very different than the deep tissue that I had asked for, and with much less pressure. What part of my multiple reminding of «need really strong/deep pressure» did they not understand? And why wasn’t this communicated to me beforehand? I thought this was really unprofessional. I’m leaning towards not going back, which I know would mean my husband won’t go back there. I guess that’s two lost memberships here.(this would have been a one star had my husband not liked Daniel)

As always, never disappointed in a massage by Daniel. They hurt so good and I always feel amazing after they are over. Makes me sit up better, I move a lot better and my range of motion is amazing. I work over a computer all the time and I get the hunched shoulder and pain that goes along with it. I can only take it so long… an hour with Daniel all that tension is gone and I am ready to face the world again!

Awesome place to get a Massage after a hard month of working out and running. You definitely get the bang for a buck here. There is plenty of parking and the massage parlor is super clean!
