Not impressed. I’m writing this as I eat. The only thing BBQ about it is the sauce, which is nothing spectacular. The pulled pork is a dull gray and most likely boiled. The baby back ribs may be boiled, too. The turkey has no smoke flavor. Actually, none of it does. If you want good BBQ, pass this place by.

Saturday afternoon, craving BBQ. Went to Two Bros., but their parking lot was packed and no open spot. So drove down Nakoma to Grady’s. Should’ve kept going. Worst BBQ west of anywhere. Just terrible. Ordered two meat plate. Tough dried out brisket, steak knife couldn’t cut through it. Ordered LEAN brisket. Was served a few slices with strips of fat on them. Told girl behind counter and she told me that ISLEANBRISKET – ITJUSTHASSOMEFATONIT! Really??? Sauce was bad – tastes like pure vinegar with some sugar thrown in it. Beans were tough and, believe it or not, even the creamed corn was tough – kinda like deer corn thrown into some canned«corn juice.» Makes Bill Miller’s seem like a gourmet meal in comparison.

Picked up lunch for my shop and everybody was pleased. Good food nice cuts and portions. WHATDOTHEYPUTINTHEMBEANS??? Wow those things are like crack! The corn is pretty good but I prefer Rudy’s corn. I was only disappointed in the amount of pickles and onions we were given.

Overall the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered the two meat plate for lunch, turkey and lean brisket. The turkey was OK the brisket was terrible, dry crumbly maybe even day-old everything is fresh it was pretty sad frankly. The only reason this is three-star just because the staff was very friendly, other than that the food was just mediocre. I travel thru Nakoma Ave often. It will be quite awhile before I return here. Sad.

Stopped in to get take out… customer service was great, was helped right away but perhaps it was because the place was empty. Maybe I missed the rush or maybe it was the calm before the storm. I ordered the 3 meat plate to go with green beans and mashed potatoes for the sides. My order was taken quickly and efficiently. The young man was friendly and very help even when I decided to add french fries after he had already ran my card. While waiting another employee happened by the area I was waiting and was nice enough to ask if I’d been helped. After maybe a little over 5 minutes my order was up and I was on my way. Making it home quickly I was happy to find the food was still hot. Mashed potatoes with white gravy transported my back to my childhood of school lunches. The green beans had flavor though a little too salty for my liking. For my 3 meat choices, I picked sausage, turkey and ribs. Unlike other BBQ joints that serve the meat dry and allow you to add as little or as much BBQ sauce as you like, this was not the case with Grady’s. It seems they poures on regular bbq sauce to the meat, which didn’t have any flavor. The turkey was tender but I wished to try it without sauce before adding some spicy to it. The sausage was decent and the ribs fell off the bone, which I like. But them adding sauce for me and a sauce I wasn’t thrilled about kinda was a negative. I’ll know better if I should visit again. Gave them 3 stars, there are better bbq joints in sa but I had to give them a try :)

Had the cat fish dinner. Was just ok a little salty and pricy at $ 12.21 that includes a drink. First time here would not get fish again maybe would return to try something else.

I have eaten here a few times. BBQ is very good but the catfish is excellent. Clean restaurant, great customer service and everything is served in a timely manner. Pretty crowded during lunch so I am not alone on my opinion!

Mi esposa and I weren’t born in Tejas, but we got here as fast as we could. Desite having lived in the Lone Star state for 12 years total, BBQ has not worked its way into our blood. We just don’t find it that exciting. So, when we DO venture out for this stuff, it had better damned good. We went to Grady’s on a weekday for lunch. We both opted for the turkey platter. The bird was definitely the highlight and gets 4 stars for being juicy and smoky-delicious! Unfortunately, the dressing was semi-dry(good for wine, not for side dishes) and the green beans appeared to be canned and not fresh, earning 2 stars. Staff were nice. Place was clean. Overall, it’s okay. But not enough here to earn a repeat on our behalf.

Zero stars. Worst food I have had in my life. None of the food was enjoyable nor edible. One bite of the ribs, brisket, potatoe salad and green beans each were all spit out and the whole order was thrown away. I don’t know why it was so bad, but it was. I don’t write reviews like this, but I had to for Grady’s bc it was so awful. Save yourself. I highly recommend two brothers if you want some decent BBQ nearby,

Not happy with the price increase, does not match the quality, and food. Will not be returning.

Grady’s gets a bad wrap. My wife and I both like it and go frequently. The place is always clean, the prices are exceptional and they cheerfully serve good honest food. Even though it’s a barbecue restaurant, their fried catfish is the best in town. Hands down. I also really like the pinto beans, but then again I don’t like«doctored» beans — I like mine to taste like beans, not smokey peaches. As far as meat goes, stick with the marbled brisket and ribs. What else do you need? The sausage is not great. I think the bad reviews are because the place is 100% devoid of kitsch or any mystique. It’s just a place to grab a quick bite.

First time at this location. We were greeted right away, which was nice. The fried mushrooms, while piping hot, literally explode with grease when you bite into them. Brisket was cold. Sausage was cold. Best thing on the plate was the potato salad.

It’s alright. The chicken tenders are good. BBQ always seems to be dry and for the portion they give you it’s over priced.

This place is even worse than Bill Millers BBQ. How can a place like this even stand to do well and lure in customers? Their meats were dry and the selection was poor.

We are on vacation, but used to live here in SATX. We used to go to Grady’s many years ago when it was Casey’s. Although we saw the bad reviews, we still wanted to go there. Casey’s was one of the most popular BBQ places in town. We went there for lunch today. Honestly, the food wasn’t as bad as some people claim. It was average. I’ve had worse and I’ve had better. I’m not sure that I have had any better in SATX. We had ribs, brisket, pinto beans, cream corn(really good), and cole slaw. Overall, I feel good about giving three stars to this restaurant. They are still in business after all of these years, so there must be someone that likes it.

This place gives BBQ a bad name. The brisket was just downright terrible. It was not smoked, hard to chew and had zero flavor. It was so bad I couldn’t finish it. The chicken was about the same but was edible. If you are looking for good Texas BBQ I’d search for another place to eat.

It takes some effort to make barbeque stand out from the crowd. Grady’s clearly doesn’t bother to try very hard and certainly doesn’t stand out, especially in the land of brisket. They do get a bonus star for being clean, fast, and friendly.
