it is the best fruteria ever, it has taste and its creative soo just stop by and you wont go back to nasty places like all those other fake fruterias.

The thing about La Gueras is that when it’s good it’s sooo gooood, but when it’s bad — it’s horrible. I’ve gotten a few things — the fruit/mangonada cups are always different. Sometimes the fruit is ripe and awesome. sometimes it’s so bad that it’s literally not edible. The mini tacos I’ve gotten absolutely perfect but I’ve also gotten them cold, with old rubbery avocado, with limes that are so dry they look like a damn raisin. So — if it’s great, you’ll love it. If not. it’ll be horrible. Also, the wait is sooooooo long and they often don’t take credit cards cause their machine is down.

Delicious fruit cups with lime and chile. You can get a mixed fruit cup or certain fruits like pineapple and strawberries. I’m obsessed with their mini tacos and lemonade. They have all sorts of goodies from raspas to corn in a cup. Perfect spot for a snack, they have a nice outdoor set up and free wifi :)

It’s good, the corn in the cup is on point. The only issue I have is the slow service. We went to get a two fruit cup’s and a corn in the cup and it took like 30 minutes. Everything we have tried so far has been very delicious.

We waited for a half hour for a banana smoothie that tasted like spoonfuls of sugar and an average mangonada. There were people getting served much more complex desserts before us even though they came after us. This place sucks they lost our business.

I had my first raspa in the Valley so the bar has been set high. That being said, the raspas here are on par if not better than some of the places in the Valley. I love everything mango and the mangonada did not disappoint. I requested some extra pickle on top and it was delicious! I’ve also had the the mini tacos and they make for a great snack. One time our order got mixed up with someone else’s and the lady gave us an extra order of tacos on the house! Great customer service here. Pro Tip: Even if they appear closed, go ahead and give them a call. I was definitely able to secure a mangonada and picadilly after hours! Pro Tip: Also bring small bills. You may have to wait for them to get change at the gas station if you bring big bills $$$.

Corn in a cup is exquisite.Scrumtrelecent. Tasty, superb. They have good flan too that comes from a local bakery doing it right. Whenever I am out on this sine of town, I make it a point to stop on in & support this business.Yum.

This makes me feel like I’m back home in the Valley! Tons of things to choose from: raspas, mini tacos, agua fresca, turkey legs, fruit cups and more! Amazing customer service. So friendly and quick… They were out of Fritos for frito chili pie so they ran to the store to make us more. Not only am I coming back, but I’m bringing more family and friends!

I used to sincerely love this place. I live down the street but lately every time I go they no longer have Agua mineral. Then today I went I got a raspa with NO spoon. She offered a fork. how is that even possible. So then I asked for a turkey leg she said not today, then I asked ok mini tacos, not today either… hmm it seems like lately they are just dissapointing me over over. looks like I’ll have to drive to ih 10 and Hildebrand from now on.

I seriously love this place… if it were closer to home, we would be there OFTEN. I’m not a fan of any mixed fruit cup, but my pineapple/mango combo with sal, chile y limon leaves me happy every time! Pineapple is a fickle fruit and I have rarely found it as good anywhere else… it is always fresh and sweet here! The price is reasonable for the quality of fruit you get. The aguas frescas are SO good and I could eat the asada mini tacos with the chile, lime and cheese every day! It is the closest thing to the asada tacos I would get back home in LA and that is a huge plus! Parking here sucks and the place is not much to look at, but grab it to go and you will not be disappointed!

The fruit cups are good however I’m partial towards Los Valles. They have really good turkey legs and lemonade.

Came here with my brother and the sobrin@s. The atmosphere in back reminded me of the playground at the old drive-in movie theater of my early childhood– well-worn playground equipment, all sorts of random kids chasing one another around, and mosquitoes. Lots of mosquitoes. The kids had way too much ice cream. My brother had the pepinos w/chile y limon, and I had a mixed fruit cup. Healthiest thing I ate all day!

Like we say in Mexico: this is Garnachas(snack) paradise! They have so many great things to name that I don’t even know where to start! Corn in a Cup, Fresh Fruit Cups, Fresh Cucumber slices with powder chili and Lime, Conchitas(corn chips) with Cheese and Jalapenos! …pause(cleaning up my saliva)… Variety of Aguas Frescas(Fresh Fruit Juice/Water) served with a wide, very wide straw so that you can savor the chunks of fruit in every cup. My personal favorite is the Sandia(watermelon) nothing like it on a hot day! On one of our many trips to Las Gueras we loaded up with healthy, fresh, juicy snacks hid them in my purse to sneak them into The Bijou movie theater. Enjoy! :)

first time i had this place it was soo good. just going today, it was okay. it was definitely what i wanted. fruit in a cup with lime and chile. that! is what i was craving and got. for $ 2.50 you can get MIXED fruit with pineapple, strawberry, grape, watermelon. optioned with lime juice, chile, and/or salt. any other SINGLE fruit cup is $ 3.00. i dont go to san an often, but this is the only place i knew to get fruit in a cup. it hit the spot, i have yet to find a place like this in Austin. now, if los cocos or something has better price and the same thing, i will have to check it out. cuz to me, as long as i got fruit in a cup with lime and chile, i am SET.

This is a cute little place off of Bandera that I passed going to one of my other favorite fruterias just down the road. It’s a house/shack that has been nicely converted into this fruteria/restaurant. The place has almost all those traditional mexican goodies like fruit cups filled with watermelon, cucumbers, pinapple, grapes, strawberries; aguas frescas; raspas — which are pretty much just snow cones, but with additions like pickle juice and chile you won’t find these flavors at most places. They also have a menu of foods such as turkey legs and tacos. The minitacos I had were amazing. For $ 6 I got a 4 minitacos of corn tortilla with melted white cheese, sirloin beef, cilantro, onion, avocado, their salsa, and lime — soooo tasty! The atmosphere is like a crazy neighbors backyard. They have a huge«backyard» with random fisher price play toys for kids. Then theres the obligatory lawn furniture. Everything is actually pretty nice, and when you’re sitting on the patio furniture underneath the huge oak trees, it’s actually pretty nice. Also, they had a sign saying they had free wifi. I’ll have to check that out next time. If it’s true, then I know where I’m going to be doing quite a bit of studying this coming year. Prices are fair, more than Los cocos down the street — I was amazed that the fruit cups were $ 3, whereas the ones at Los Cocos are $ 2.25. Just a little gripe. But I guess you also are paying for the atmosphere which is a little bit off the main road and away from all the traffic.
