Was out of our way, but so worth it! The shaved ice was wonderful! Truly shaved ice! We tried several flavors and mixed some and they were all good!

I have really missed my Pelican’s Sno Balls back home. This was really comparable. I really enjoyed my Rainbow Sno Ball and my husband enjoyed his Blue Raspberry and Fuzzy Navel mix. There are flavors galore and you can mix and match and add toppings as well. I loved the music they played outside, I just wish there was a small seating area by the truck. I would really enjoy having my sno ball when I purchase it, instead of taking it back to my car and risk making a mess. Next time I’ll test out the cucumber things they are selling as well. I saw someone who was enthusiastic about purchasing them.

If you’re looking for a real New Orleans style snoball, this is the place. I lived in baton rouge for 4+ years for my undergrad and had my fair share of good snoballs. I’ve lived in SA for over 2 years now and when I stumbled upon this place, I had to try it. The ice is so soft and perfect. I also love that they have the sweetened condensed milk for a topping, which is what I used to always get living in Louisiana. I also had my dog with me and they gave him a little«puppy snoball» which he loved. I will definitely be back.

There come a time in a mans life where one word can bring a smile to the face, a gleam to the eye, a flutter in the heart rate. And that word is: RASPAS!!! This is the place to hit up on those hot SATX days and warm nights, heck even in the cold weather a raspa can can warm the soul. Quick and easy except for choosing the type of liquid romance to get. I love the chamo-mango and chamo-pina. But i have been on a mission to try every flavor. The peach has been my favorite so far. Great location and lines are not long at all. To make it even nice, they are 2 parks minutes away from This place, pick some up and head on over to one on a nice San Antonio sun set. Believe me you’ll get some.

Great quality snowcones for a great price! I have been craving Taiwanese-style snow ice(shaved ice with condensed milk and fruit) and unfortunately, San Antonio doesn’t have any. I came to Frostbites to replicate the taste and I was able to satisfy my craving! I got a small Strawberry cheesecake with ice cream and extra cream(sweetened condensed milk) and it hit the spot. Only for a total of $ 4.50!

My wife and I love Hawaiian shaved ice. This is as close as we have found in the San Antonio area. Please get it with the cream added !

I love shaved ice. It’s a summertime favorite of mine and when I drove by Frostbites, I immediately had to pull over and check it out. I wasn’t sure what New Orleans style Sno-Ball was, but I was definitely willing to find out. I was SO happy to see the different flavors they have. Including pickles, pickle juice, chamoy, and lukas. So far I’ve only gotten to Chamango(which is mango, chamoy, and lukas) but I plan to try different flavors very soon. I wasn’t sure what the difference between Hawaiian shaved ice and New Orleans style was, but apparently it is the size of the ice on top. I really enjoy the New Orleans style because they put a funnel over the top of the ice to make it smaller and the majority of your treat is in a large cup(read: a lot less mess, especially when trying to take your shaved ice home!) The shaved ice itself is really, really good. Enough syrup to cover all of the ice in your cup, but not to where you have a pool at the bottom when you’re finished. The first time that I went, they were cash only. Luckily I had cash on me, but it did keep me from visiting subsequent times. I recently went back and they now accept credit cards, which means my visits will become more frequent. The price is really, really fair for the amount that you receive. The service is friendly and fast. They do tend to get busy in the later afternoon and early evening. There is no place to sit and enjoy your treat because it’s in a parking lot, but your shaved ice can easily be transported. If you’re in the area, stop at Frostbites for a cool, tasty, inexpensive treat!
