Good god, why have I been going to subway all these years? I got the Italian meatball sub, and it was AMAZING. Bread was hot, soft, delicious. Meatballs fresh, excellent cheese and seasonin on top!!! To top it off, I had a coupon for a free 32oz. Drink(saved $ 1.99), and found out they have an app you can use to earn points for free food!!!

I have never had a BAD sandwich at firehouse. .my sandwich was horrible and I didn’t know that was possible. The young girl and guy making our sandwiches were too busy playing with one another to pay attention to the quality being served, it was so bad the(manager, I think) asked for them to hurry with our order this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had at firehouse. If I decide to revisit another one it will not be this location. I would prefer my food handled by a person who takes quality and service seriously not kids flirting and playing over my food.

I love firehouse subs! I am a steak and potatoes kind of guy. So I always get the brisket cheddar sub or the steak and cheese. Been consistent every state I’ve gone to. If you haven’t tried it, check them out at least once. About $ 10 for a combo out the door

This is a great option if you are looking for a hot sub. They do a decent job making it and the meat is very flavorful. The bread is chewy and delicious as well. The prices are a little high for a pretty small sandwich. But, they always have coupons in the mail that saves you a drink and chips. It also feels less chain-like than subway or some of the other places. Ingredients also taste fresh.

Just tried Firehouse Subs for the first time the other day, and no complaints! Pretty standard hot sub kinda place. The location I went had really friend and fast services. I like the theme they’ve got going on and their support of the firefighter community, pretty cool. I had the Italian and my husband tried the meatball… and we ate every last bite. You can«round-up» your order and the difference goes to charity — nice!

If you’re in the mood for a sandwich and are in a pinch, this place will do the job. Just keep your expectations in check and know that you probably won’t be blown away. I definitely enjoy their sandwiches, from their engineer and hero to their turkey bacon ranch, all of the sandwiches here are easily better than Subway. Being a sandwich lover to the max though, there are several places around town making a bigger splash in the sammy world. The service is pretty standard and the seating isn’t half bad for a sub shop. Food come out in a reasonable time and they get a small bonus for having one of the newer drink dispensers which gives you a WIDE range of options. Overall, not bad but also nothing to go out of your way for.

Good food, fairly quick. I had the beef and cheddar sub with BBQ sauce, and enjoyed it. The place is a little noisy, but not badly so. I’ll certainly be back.

Firehouse has always provided a welcome alternative to the ever present Subway franchise, the fact that they are in constant support of fire fighters makes puts this sandwich shop in my top 3 places to patronize when in the mood for a sandwich.(PotBelly and WichWich being the other two). This Firehouse ranks«A-OK» for me due to it’s distance from my house. Typically I’ll only stop in if I’m in the neighborhood which isn’t all that often. I feel like their staff can stand to be a little more perusable(as they are at the other San Antonio locations) however the food is always consistent with my expectations for a Firehouse. I’d also note that the store layout is a bit odd and feels very cramped when dining in. All in all though, a solid 3 stars for this location.

Any place that gives out plastic fireman hats is A-OK with me!
