The worst manicure I have ever had. I usually give positive reviews or say nothing but when I woke up the morning after my manicure with three infected fingers I felt compelled to write a review. An earlier review mentioned auto leaves tools. I did not see any. I asked the lady repeatedly not to cut my cuticles. After my third request, she began to file my cuticles with her emery board. Ouch! After that, she cut my finger nails so short that the tips of my fingers were super sensitive and a week later my nails are still shorter than the tips of my fingers.(good for typing on my phone but not very attractive!) Then she applied three coats of polish without any drying in between and only offered a fan to finish drying so the polish smeared later. But the worst was when I woke up the next morning and three of my fingers were red, sore and inflamed.

Consistently perfect! They have a good selection of shellac and regular colors. Enjoy restful manis and pedis accompanied by plenty of oft-rotating magazine stacks and a TV. Long-suffering, too: they’re very polite and engaging, even when people are droning on about boring details of this ‘n that. ;) It’s not a super fancy place, just good place to get your nails done and take a break. Looking down right now, my pedicure(two weeks old) still looks salon-fresh.

I went this place because of the reviews but found it lack luster. My mom went too and her manicure bubbled almost instantly. I expected better since they were using good polish but they did a crappy job. The workers were nice enough but nothing like the reviews said. My moms manicurist spoke english but he was hard to understand. My advice is stay away.

I went here based on the reviews, and I’m telling you, it was the second worst manicure I’ve had in a long time. The man there that did the manicure didn’t get any of my cuticles, my nails chipped the next day(I can usually make them last at least 3 days with regular nail polish) I guess $ 37 is supposed to be cheap around here for a mani-pedi combo, but I will never go back.

Eureka I found it! Finally a quality place to get some fantastic service and a great set of nails. It took me a long time to find a great nail place in LA, but it has taken me even longer to find one in SA! I After numerous so-so experiences, I was leary but went in for my bi-monthly pedicure and pink/white fill. The place was nice and clean. Nothing super glamorous, but the chairs were amazing and did I mention everything was CLEAN??? To top it off, the staff couldn’t have been nicer and doted on all of their customers. I am a huge advocate of service and quality and this place takes the cake!

A friend and I tried this nail salon for the first time and it didn’t take long for us to decide we’d be coming back! From the minute you walk in, they are friendly. Even though we didn’t have an appointment, they took both of us immediately. Another client came in for her scheduled appointment but neither Nancy or Kim made us feel rushed. They keep all their tools super clean, which is more than I can say for most salons. The autoclave is in plain sight and they pull all their tools out of the autoclaved packaging right in front of you. Their pedicure chairs are the so awesome! They give a nice shiatsu massage that goes all the way down to your tush. Felt so good I let my nails dry in the chair! Their prices are also really reasonable and you get more than what yo pay for. Everyone is so friendly! I can’t wait to go back for a manicure!

I love Expert Nails, located next to Sherlock’s Pub & Grill. It is the only place I send my friends and family for a mani/pedi. The staff, Nancy and Kim, are like family. They welcome you by your name(after the first visit) and are always curious about how things are going in life. Their pedicure chairs are state of the art massagers and their Spa Deluxe package includes paraffin wax and deep massage for more than 5 minutes. Even if people are waiting, they do not rush your experience. They always play love music, have wonderful feng shui waterfalls to mesmerize with and if you are bored by the abundance of magazines, they will start a «Friends» marathon CD, which I love to laugh to. I have tried going to other places but nothing ever compares to the experience and pricing at Expert Nails with Nancy and Kim. They are a home away from home.
