Consistently great service and food! Their service and taste is worth more than what they charge. Cannot beat a place that is inexpensive AND has amazing food! We go there weekly and it’s worth the 25 min drive every time!

This place is so good. Everything I had tried has been delicious, authentic Mexican food. The Charro beans are my favorite menu item. I have had the breakfast tacos. I get a bean, cheese, bacon and potato taco. They are huge so I usually only get one. Very good. The staff is very friendly and generous with the portions. I have also tried the Caldo, Cheese Enchiladas, and the Taco combo with beef fajita. I have never been disappointed here. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Breakfast was good, the horchata tasted like it was diet. Place was busy and yet there was no long wait, that’s always a plus. Only downside the huevos rancheros didnt come with bacon/ham/sausage compared to other restaurant breakfast dishes I’ve had that do come with it. Price was good overall. Will consider dining in if I’m in the area.

Update: oh, here we go again. Just picked up some Barbacoa tacos from the drive-through and it looks like they’re getting stingy making little itty-bitty tacos again. Normally I wouldn’t have an issue with it but this is one of the most expensive tacos you can get. Their cost $ 2.95. I had barbecue at tacos like this at another restaurant just yesterday for 1.95. Taking this from five stars down to two stars. Called to let them know because they fixed it last time. «Hi can I speak to a manager please?» «Who’s this?» «A customer.» Was then left on hold for four minutes. Just had a second bad experience at Eddie’s tacos on thousand oaks that the general manager, a very nice young lady whose name I didn’t get turned into a five-star experience. This is the second time that I’ve gone through the drive-through and the tacos were either substandard or poorly made. Granted they seem a lot busier now but they’ve always been pretty consistent up until the last couple of weeks. I called the first time(last week) and let them know my disappointment and the young lady that answered the phone told me she would let her manager know which I pretty much took in stride at that point. This Second time I went through the drive-through I ordered extra dry Barbacoa(no grease or fat). One of the tacos that I received was full of chunks of fat. So I drove around parked my car and went inside in my chanclas. As soon as I got to the door I asked the person to speak to a manager and was told she was the general manager. I let her know my complaint and showed her my tacos. She stated that she remembered the complaint from last week and had already briefed all three of her kitchen managers and then she offered to go ahead and remake all my tacos for me because she didn’t want me to take them cold. She came back and apologized and stated that she got with her kitchen staff again. Eddies you already have the best Barbacoa in the area that’s why drive from 281 and bitters to get to you even though there are restaurants closer to me and cheaper but you’ve now made me a customer for life. Well done!

What can I say… the service is slow as molasses. You wait forever and a day for refills. The first 2 times I went there they gave you your meal without silverware and we had to practically wave for our waiter for at least 10 minutes. Last time(THELASTTIMEEVER) I found hair in my enchiladas. The manager came to our table and she told me to drop the hair, so no one would notice. Don’t waste your time people!

A few of my friends from work love coming here. They go probably every other week. The first time I went with them I ordered chicken chalupas and was not happy. You couldn’t lift the chalupa because it was so greasy. It wasn’t the worst tasting food but definitely not the best. I went back again a few weeks later with one of the other girls and she ordered cheese enchiladas and thought they were good. I just ordered chicken fajita tacos and I actually liked them a lot although they were very VERY greasy. If I go back I may just end up getting that again so I won’t be disappointed by anything. Both times I went though I have had the worst waitresses. The last time we went the only time we saw ours was when she took our order, dropped it off, then gave us our receipt. Never asked if we needed anything else or even offered to refill our drinks. However the girl at the register was extremely polite. It definitely has it ups and downs.

Ordered a grand Tortilla soup at the drive thru window. There are no lights to light up the menu board at night. When I drove up to the window, the girl who took my order had her back to the window the entire time and did not even acknowledge my presence at the window until my order was brought over to her at which time she requested payment. Never once did she give a hello or any other greeting. The Tortilla soup is very good. Service at the drive thru… not at all.

Good breakfast tacos, service and coffee. That’s all I have ordered here. The rest of the menu really doesn’t get my attention. Definitely a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant.

The food used to be good here. The last two times I ordered take out from here, it was disgusting! The cheese in my bean and cheese taco was nasty! It had to have been the oldest cheese they had! It was so gross. I gave a piece to my co-worker just to make sure it wasn’t my taste buds. Sure enough, she said don’t eat it, we might get sick. Yestetday I ordered an enchilada plate thru drive thru. I wad in line for 28 min, I’ve been sick for days and hadn’t eaten other wise I know I would have left. I get home, I live. 8 miles away, not far at all, all the food is cold except cheese on top of enchiladas and tamale. I start to eat it and the Chile tastes worse than canned chile! I will never eat here again! This is because I didn’t even mention the other 2 times I had to complain about my son’s potato and bacon tacos. No bacon, just FAT! NEVERAGAIN! Good luck to those of u that eat there. Not worth it at all! !!!

My mom and I went there tonight and sat in the bar area.. Waited 10 – 15 mins before our drink order was taken. 5 mins later it was taken again… we finally order after 10 mins later order again and get our app at the same time as our dinner. and another note, never saw our«bartender» the entire time we dined there. ordered a 2nd drink from her and she proceed to go to the bar and clean it for 5 mins before I got my drink. talked to mgt abt it and she said sorry and said that’s why I took your drink order because I didn’t think she could get to yall.. She had 2 bar quest.. We saw her two times.. food order, then check.. She Was So BUSY She Couldn’t GET To us. BUT As We Were heading out, she laughed about her service with us and said haha.. Those two. My bad! and laughed! Rude! So the mgt took 4 $ off our tab for the lack of service and poor attitude

I don’t think I’ve ever walked away from a meal legitimately depressed by the quality of the food. Sub par service and mediocre food. I actually stopped eating half way through because I didn’t want to taste it anymore. Not to mention finding multiple whole bay leafs throughout the meal. When brought to the managers attention she didn’t seem to care and just wanted to get away from the table. I didn’t even get to suggest investing in a strainer.

I’ve been to Eddies about 9 times total… Each time the service is mediocre. Sadly the manager on duty every time I’ve been there is rude to her staff, the customers, and lacks initiative to help when it is needed! The food is average texmex. The service is sub par. The bathroom trash is ALWAYS overflowing. These issues stem from lack of proper management. It’s unfortunate that the wait staff takes the brunt of the issues that are the result of a manager who lacks proper managerial skills. Zero stars.

I have returned to Eddie’s Taco House since my previous review. I have come to the conclusion that if you stick to the basic breakfast tacos you can’t go wrong. Probably not the best tacos, but good for a quick taco run when in the neighborhood. Three stars for Eddie’s Taco House it’s ok for breakfast tacos.

good local mexican restaurant… we love the enchiladas poblanas — really chicken mole enchiladas — lots of chicken and dark sweet sauce! I asked to sub steamed veggies for rice and beans and received 2 huge servings of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and cabbage — I’ll post a pic. I usually order a la carte since I don’t want the rice and beans, but may order veggies now!

Love this place! Have been almost weekly the past 2 months — breakfast, dinner, happy hour. Always quick, good service and great food. Drinks are really good and inexpensive! Specials include $ 2 margaritas, $ 3 micheladas and tropical margaritas. Have been with kids and large parties and they always take care of us :)

Now what Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve complimentary salsa and tortilla chips? They charge you for it!!! This place is ridiculous. The food wasn’t all that great. Not only do they not have the proper utensils to eat your meal comfortably and with EASE, they charge you for even a slice of lemon!!! The place wasn’t as clean as it should be. When my father and I chose a table there was used napkins on the floor and food. The waiter didn’t bother to check if we needed anything else. We had to get someone’s attention. It’s really not worth wasting your time and money.
