Went for lunch and should have been suspicious of a lack of line. I had the sand which /soup combo which was a tiny piece of sandwich and a watery broccoli cheddar soup. The«Original» didn’t taste bad but I finished it in 3 bites. I could have walked into the HEB next door and got the same thing for $ 7 less. and will next time

The sandwiches are excellent. You should try the earl’s club. However the place needs a new ventilation system. The smoke will stay in your nose and your clothes for a while.

Always a great sandwich. Sometimes the place is a little messy. My fav — the holiday turkey sandwich. With turkey, dressing, and cranberry relish.

Best sandwich I’ve ever had… This location though was ok. The sandwich came out a little dry but I’ve been to other locations where it’s very good!

I’d never heard of this chain before. Their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is the Hawaiian BBQ, pineapples and barbecue sauce go together so well. Their baked chips taste way better than baked lay’s.

Omg. Delicious. I had the Italian. My husband had the Caribbean chicken and tomato soup. Love it.

Service was good. The cashier got a little too chatty with the customers in front of me and I was left waiting to place my order for quite some time. I ordered the avocado chicken sandwich. It was good but I was left wanting more. After ordering chips and a drink with my sandwich, it was a bit pricey in my opinion. Overall, it was good and I would go again.

I love trying out different sandwich shops and as far as quality, taste, and freshness goes they are definitely up there with the best! Not to mention the shop is very clean and furnished nicely! However the service is definitely below par, i wasn’t greeted by the cashier so I asked him how he’s doing and he didn’t even reply. If the manager can somehow make his employees more friendly I’ll be happy to at two more stars to my review!

I first saw this chain on a trip to Boston a coupe of years ago. They had’t opened it yet so I couldn’t get to try. Fast forward 2 years and I’m in San Antonio on my regular business trip. I was tired, frustrated but since I got where I knew, I Was fine. Decided to try them out beore checking into my hotel(this was 8:30 pm, after having been in thr air for 12 hours). I tried the Full Montagu on a whim and loved every last bite. Took half to my hotel to finish later after I’d checked in and done some grocery shopping. :) I willl definitely frequent this place. It’s seriously yummy.

How is this place always empty? Their sandwiches are so delicious! Ham and swiss is awesome and sister normally gets the original. Also try the caprese. Ingredients are always fresh and their bread is sinful, but they also offer wheat options now. The only complaint is that every time I go, they’re out of chocolate chip cookies. Really?! But I’ll still continue to go because this is the best sandwich place in San Antonio.

Had lunch, the sandwich was hot and just the right size… warning if you have a husband who’s used to large portions don’t go for the half portion. The sandwiches are a bit small for healthy grown men… according to the hubby it was a snack.

The Hawaiian BBQ sandwich is to die for, the perfect blending of sweet and salty. I wanted more after my last bite. The chicken tortilla soup is very spicy to me so it’s about a moderate spice level. I defiantly eat here again(:

Been to this location a few times. Sandwiches are great as usual. About the only thing they could do to improve would be to check their condiments on the tables more often. There are almost always empty mustard bottles. Salt and pepper shakers and other condiment bottles are almost always grungy as well as the trays the sandwiches are served in. This applies to most other locations.

If you go, then order the Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich. I have not had anything else except chips and a soda. I can’t speak about the other sammiches, but I can confidently speak about this one. Better say this too… I invited a colleague and just knew he would love it. Wrong! He had no special fuzzy feelings while eating it, but he also likes subway because… Hell I have no idea. The interior is nice. Feels like a man’s place. It’s a masculine design. I like the damn place and like the damn Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich.

Hubby and I loved it. Hot, delicious sandwiches, and great service. Not too busy either which we love. Definitely one of our favorite spots.

The Original is a roast beef sandwich with cheddar and a horseradish sauce– totally my BF’s kind of sammie. He devoured his half in record time, and I actually liked mine: the flavors complimented one another and the horsey sauce was good without being overpowering, as I usually find it to be. The American is a turkey and cheddar sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and cranberry– reminiscent of holiday leftovers without being overkill. It was lighter and the flavors melted well together. I didn’t think BF would like this one, but he also chomped it down without complaint, and then asked where I’d gone– the sure sign that he liked it! The bread on both sandwiches was fresh-baked and soft without falling apart, and the sandwiches were both a good size. Pricing was okay, and I would go back even without a coupon.

I usually wind up here before my weekly HEB run. It’s a nice place, clean and appealing. It’s never very full when I go. I like the bread a lot here — it’s chewy and soft and toasty. The sandwiches are good, but not amazing. It’s a decently priced chain with good sandwiches. The weird lounge area is always empty.

*****2.5STARS***** Had a coupon to get a free sandwich with the purchase of another. My GF got the Original 1762 and I got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken. Pretty pricey for $ 10.42 for a sandwich, chips, and a regular drink. Anyway, they don’t look really tasty like the big ass pictures all on the walls. I was looking for a bit of a kick with my sandwich. Wasn’t anything to right about. Just pieces of chicken and bell peppers in some sauce. The bread kind of overpowered in taste. Had to add tabacco sauce and some hot mustard. The Original 1762 was least appetizing. Would of got something better at Arby’s. The meat had a weird old taste which I later found out it was the fat in the meat. Also, you could not even taste the horseradish sauce at all. Not what I was expecting in a sandwich meal worth more than $ 10! Luckily, like a said before, I had a coupon for a free one. Not gonna come back…

Delightfully toasty! Earl of Sandwich is a British themed sandwich shop where most or all of the sandwiches are served hot, on a freshly baked bread. I had the club sandwich. I have always thought that a club sandwich had to be a double-decker sandwich. That’s what makes it a club! They brought me a turkey and bacon sandwich instead, only a single layer sandwich. I guess those Brits have their own club. The bacon was freshly grilled. The toppings were generous. The homemade bread was incredible! They had two different types of mustard on all of the tables, but most of them were empty. It seems that very few people actually eat the funky brown British mystery sauce. I was impressed that this place has a library! Comfortable leather chairs face a giant bookshelf. You can read up on your British literature while you chomp down on your sub. Dickens + Delicatessen = Deliciousness
