We’re always looking for fun, cheap, outdoor things to do with our small kids… and we finally found it. This playground it HUGE and it makes me wish I was five. It’s in a great spot with a lot of shade trees. You can bring a picnic lunch and make an event out of your visit. Depending on the time you go, parking is a little rough, so bring money for the meters.

I love this place! I always feel like a kid here. It is really just a cool playground, and as Jai mentioned they have a little snack stand. A snack stand that has the BESTLEMONADEEVER! It’s so funny… every time I am anywhere close to there, my taste buds start watering for that sweet and sour icy mixture! As a nice bonus, in the evenings, they have the bicycle cart rides from there to the Alamo area.

Wonderful place to bring the kids to! My family and I always have a blast playing here. There are plenty of places to hide, run, and chase each other to. And I don’t know how many pics we’ve taken here just goofing off and what have you. There are a couple of covered picnic areas(I don’t recall grills but I might be mistaken) but for the resting parents there are benches surrounding this play area as well. The only setbacks are that the water fountains have warm water during the summer and the bathrooms aren’t kept up with all that well but still neat to go to. There’s even a cart/stand near the area(under the clock tower) where they sell raspas, sodas, and snacks.
