This place used to be great. I’m not sure what’s going on now. The service I had today was really rude. The last burger we had there was not great. The blizzard was good but I’m just not a fan of being treated badly just to get a blizzard.

I came today and yesterday and the«ran out» of waffle cones and bowls. And when i questioned the girl, she was just like, we don’t do waffle bowls at this location. How do you run out of something on back to back days?

I only go to Dairy Queen for one thing… Blizzards. When I have a late-night craving for sweets and don’t feel like changing out of my PJ’s to get some sweets, I enjoy a classic Oreo Blizzard. This is a treat that I only indulge in once every few months to a year. This location makes a good blizzard. They are not stingy with their toppings in the blizzard and mixes it thoroughly. I have gone to this location several times with them always being busy with their drive-thru. If you want to wait less, go inside to order a to-go order.

This location is definitely on that side of town where you’ll want to roll up your windows, lock your doors and hide your wife and kids(if applicable). There’s a lot of shifty foot activity going on. Nonetheless, this is probably one of the fastest Diary Queen locations I have ever been to. Even when there’s a somewhat long line, they keep things moving and order accuracy doesn’t suffer. I usually get a blizzard(Brownie Batter, Oreo) or a Pina Colada Premium Smoothie(skip on the Julius Orange, it has the most disgusting and weird after taste — almost like crushed children’s vitamins).

While visiting San Antonio for a couple of weeks, I kept seeing commercials for Dairy Queen blizzards and couldn’t help but start craving them. Strawberry cheesecake, cookie dough chunks, brownie bites… Yes, please! Unfortunately there weren’t any locations near where I was staying so I drove 10+ miles to get a couple different flavors of blizzards to try. However, even in an air conditioned car, there’s no way they would’ve lasted the drive back home in the hot Texas heat so I asked for lids on them instead of having them served upside down(one of the selling points that I was so curious to see). By the time I got home, they were completely melted and oozing stickiness out of the top and sides(yuck!), which suddenly made them not quite as appealing. I tried re-freezing them for a little while, but some things just aren’t as good when re-frozen. :( I loved the chunks of goodness in the blizzards(cheesecake, cookie dough and brownie), but wasn’t quite as satisfied with my blizzard experience as I thought I would be. If I happen to pass by one, I would definitely give it another shot, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to get one again.

I only come for the ice cream but it’s AWESOME. They give you lots of toppings on Sunday’s and lots of chunks in the blizzards. Very clean, speedy, generous location.

I have wanted to try a Blizzard for years! Today was pretty hot and humid so I decided to give Diary Queen a try. I ordered the Peanut butter cookie dough smash blizzard. It was amazing! It tasted very similar to all of the delicious Ben and Jerrys cookie dough ice cream flavors but in soft serve form. I can’t believe I have lived my entire life without ever trying a Blizzard. Unfortunately I had the worse experience at this Dairy Queen location. The customer service was terrible. The employee taking my order was incredibly slow, rude, and unenthusiastic. He lacked social skill and made my 10 minute wait for the Blizzard unbearable. Seriously?! A10 minute wait for a Blizzard… when there was no one else in the place? That’s not acceptable. I love the Blizzard but hated my experience at this location.

Hard to say anything bad about free ice cream. Free come give away today had me swing in and getting one. Always good ice cream and shakes

I would recommend another DQ. I got the 4PC Chicken combo for 6.99. Then at the window I was charged 7.29 for the Chicken combo. Later when I found this, I called the manager who said the menu has it listed for 7.29. I explained I saw it for 6.99 on the menus, she would only say she would check it. No offer to make it right. I wouldn’t go back to this one.

Average Dairy Queen, love it. Always get the chicken strip basket and ice cream! It’s right next to a gas station so the traffic is a little hectic if you go at a busy time.

Love the DQ Ice cream! This location is off of Fredericksburg Rd near Medical. On this particular visit I used the drive-thru to grab a quick cone to enjoy on my way home. I really like how quickly they move the line. There is no waiting for long periods like at some fast food joints. DQ is the same no matter where you find one. The ice cream is always silky smooth and perfect on sticky weather days and the customer service is always friendly, helpful and fast. I have remained a fan of DQ over the years for just these reasons. You can’t go wrong with a quick midday sweet treat from DQ. The prices are perfect, never too hefty. And the people working are friendly. This location is fast to get in and out of. Its clean and usually busy. I’ll be back for more ice cream soon.

It’s fast food so I can’t give them more than three stars. This location /staff take pride at what they do. Food is quick and good.

I don’t visit Dairy Queen often but when I’m craving a dilly bar, I have no other choice but to satisfy my craving. The service is not the best, on the several occasions I have visited this particular location, they have always come off really rude. It usually is always pretty busy here just since it’s in the Medical Center area so that’s probably why. The location is clean, but the bathrooms are disgusting. Not bad though considering it’s the only Dairy Queen close to me, if I hated it that much I wouldn’t go there.

I’ve been coming here for the past few months with no complaints. I got a cold a couple weeks ago after coming here. I came back tonight thinking it would be safe and now my throat feels funny again. Not to mention the absolutely rude girl at the drive thru window. She never greeted us and just handed our stuff to us and shut the window. No smile, no hello, not even a thank you after I politely said thank you twice, just an overheard conversation with her coworkers is all I got. No, THANKYOU for your service since it is only because of me being a customer that you are getting a paycheck, lady.

Got the hawaiin blizzard and man was it great. My wife is pregnant so both of us have been eating extra ice cream. The main thing I look at in DQ is the smell. Sometimes you walk in one and it has a dirty smell. This one seemed clean and everyone was nice and pleasant.

This is one of the best Dairy Queens I’ve visited in San Antonio. The people that work here really keep us coming back. They are ALL so nice and make you feel welcome. And of course the quality of the product is amazing!
