Excellent ramen and other foods! Convenient mini shop filled with authentic finds. Fun atmosphere with board games and great music. Oh and, excellent service!

This place has a ton of flavors to choose from. My favorites are the cookies and cream, matcha smoothie, chocolate and cake batter. Their milk teas are good too. They have a menu with lots of ramen options. I love their kimchi spam fried rice! Staff is super nice and always accommodating

Finally able to swing back by after they’ve started a food menu. Seems like they have a rotating menu(this one was dated from March 7). I tried on the tonkatsu ramen. Very rich broth. The noodles were pretty starchy/heavy. It had toppings of dried seaweed and corn. Overall I enjoyed it. It was a huge portion, couldn’t even finish it. I’m definitely interesting in trying out more of their menu. Tried some of their pork & veggie potstickers which were pretty good. I tried out a taro + white chocolate milk tea. Again, tapioca are perfectly chewy. They filled the whole cup with ice though so it’s less drink… not sure how I feel about that. I’ve never had that experience with Suck It or the last time I was at this location. Other things. Bathroom is still clean! There’s a lot of tables, board games. Looks like a good place to hang out.

They have great food and drinks but are HORRIBLE when it comes to consistent operating hours or being able to reach them by phone. Every time we go they have a different opening time and then when we go back they still aren’t open. They need to hire more employees or stick to their schedule. It’s Bad customer service when you never know when a place is open.

I’ve had the ramen, kimchi spam fried rice and Korean tacos and they all were really good. The staff is really nice abs helpful. I work nearby and always take my food to go. Everything is made per order and super fresh so there is a little wait but nothing too long. Portions are also good. 5 mini tacos for less than $ 8.00! But if you’re getting food and a drink you’re going to spend at least $ 12. So worth it.

This place is so dope! So modern and clean! Service was great I love places that greet you as soon as you walk in the door. Apparently their café menu changes every week except the bfast menu so call ahead to find out. This week they had Filipino pork chops as their special. I didnt get to try it this visit, However i did try their taro/ube boba it was delishhhh. Reminds me of the boba joints back in California. This is a cute nice little gem tucked in a strip mall by the hospitals and nursing schools.

Stopped by before an appoitment because I needed a snack. I ordered a milk tea(black) with boba and asked if they still were serving any food(it was about 2:15pm). The lady behind the counter said they had a special of «Korean» tacos, so I said«sure» because I was very hungry. Normally not something I would order, the tacos were pretty tasty, toped with kimchi and full of flavor. Some of the meat was kind of chewy(fat/cartilage) but I think thats pretty typical of Korean food. The boba was good, not the best but satisfying. The service was friendly and fast. All in all it was a nice place to stop for a bubble tea. If I got a chance to visit again, I would love to try one of their fresh juices– which are named after the signs of the zodiac. They also had a nice, if small, selection of Asian snacks for sale.

Very spacious. Large easy to read menu right at the counter. Extremely attentive, informative, and sweet staff. Very cute and chill vibe here. Definitely a mood booster. Cool Asian people and cool non Asian folk as well chillin and drinking delicious bubble teas, milk teas, and fresh fruit and veggie juice. Jamming to the beat of cool Kpop on the over head speakers. Cool ambience, everyone seems happy. Small section that sells Mexican glass bottle sodas and Asian snacks and candies. Okay you get the idea, I think this place is cool. But more than anything. The drinks are excellent. The flavor is fresh and the right amount of sweet. They have good consistency and quality tapioca balls. A lot of places mess the balls up and they end up chalky or waxy… Tapioca balls are supposed to be perfectly chewy. The balls here are spot on. This is my new boba spot. Kamsahamnida boba-ology!!! I’m coming back to try everything else.

This place has a vibe of the SuckIt Hookah&Bubble tea next to nama ramen(Babcock&De zavala) but here they only sell food, drinks, and vape pens as I was told. They also have a few board game to play with a group of friends. It’s a chill place to hang out at with friends. Noise level is average. And workers are nice, also they answered my questions kindly.

I went in and ordered a green tea peppermint milk tea boba. The cashier said the worst thing ever. «Sorry, we don’t do peppermint any more.» Followed by the best thing ever! «I make them with fresh mint, is that okay?» Hell yeah it’s okay! Tea was cheap(under $ 5 for a large), made fast on the spot, and delicious– drink wasn’t too sweet, boba was neither too hard nor too soft, and it doesn’t hurt that the lid design was super cute and seasonally appropriate. Now, the interior and ambiance could be upgraded– think college basement with used furniture. But they have a rack of games and it’s surprisingly quiet. Located across from the HSC and equipped with free wifi, I’m sure it makes a good spot to study.

By Houston standards, I would probably give Boba-ology 3 stars. But by SA standards, I would give it 4 stars. Overall, this is a pretty neat store with a lot of space, wi-fi, board games, and modern/chill atmosphere. The tapioca pearls are chewy and have a good texture, and the milk tea is pretty good. I have to say that this is the best I’ve had in SA by far, however, it still isn’t as good as my favorite places in Houston. They do have good service and a lot of flavors to pick from. I’ll definitely be going back to see how their fruit slushies are, and to try out their lunch menu(which looks amazing!). The only food I’ve had so far is their dumplings, which are crispy and delicious and great for a snack!

Same boba as suck-it, without the late hrs and hookah. Can’t go wrong. Very clean. Highly recommended.

It’s seems like a new tapioca place. It didn’t seem fully set up. There were boxes everywhere behind the counter and TV’s laying on tables. Besides the atmosphere, the black milk tea was okay. I recommend getting something sweeter like the almond milk tea because it has a little more flavor. I didn’t get to try the tapioca but I don’t know if I’ll be coming back unless it’s in the area.

I love this place! Since it opened I’ve gone at least once a week. Can’t beat the location — right across from the UT health science center! My favorite of the bubble teas is definitely the crazy panda. The taro is also really good. One of the best things about the drinks is that they will allow you to choose the level of sweetness. This is an awesome way to cut back on the calories and in my opinion, almost all the drinks taste better around 50% sweetness. This week, bobaology started expanding their menu. I love the egg rolls and the potstickers. Today I got to try the Taiwanese style basil popcorn chicken and mini tacos. The tacos are the best! Even without the coleslaw, they are incredibly tasty! And the prices are really good for the portions. I can see each item costing way more downtown. The atmosphere is really friendly and the space is very open. I like the availability of classic board games(battle ship and connect 4 being favorites with me and my friends). It’s great to start a quick game of connect 4 while waiting for drinks. Service for me is totally on point. I feel like everyone is really friendly. Even though this place is just starting up, the owner is making really smart decisions with this place in terms of menu and overall vibe. Everyone should come by and try all the interesting things they offer. UTHSCSA students especially should definitely give this place a chance! Update: The new menu items are delicious. Any of the tacos are good(the korean and beef are my favorites). I love the Crazy Panda. If you are going to order this — wear your fat pants. It is a calorie bomb but I’ve ordered it 3x. So good. I still think its a great place to chill with friends/study and has great snack options for those not counting calories.

This place is an extension of SuckIt. I’ve tried the taro milk tea, jackfruit smoothie, and black tea and they have been consistent in an unfortunate way. While i did appreciate their lower promotional price of $ 3, the friendly service, and the convenient location, the drinks are just lacking… something. They leave a bitter, sickeningly dry feeling in my mouth. The taro drink, was extra powdery and the tea taste was too strong, all while being syrupy sweet. Jackfruit and black teas didn’t have the powder problem, but had the two latter problems. Real fresh taro is understandably not a practical option, but there taro exist drinks out there that are not noticeably powdery. Maybe they could add the powder and sugar while the tea is still boiling hot? It could make the overall texture and flavor smoother. Besides the boba, I’m looking forward to coming back to try their noodle bar!

This was my first time to ever have a bubble tea and I’m far from disappointed! I went with the best selling flavor, taro and coconut with tapioca sinkers. My friend ordered the pineapple and coconut with tapioca sinkers. The atmosphere is nice. It’s decorated with sort of an industrial feel. Lots of LCDTV’s hung around the place and looks like it’s only starting to become what the owner wants in the long run.

You know a place is new when 2 check-ins get you the duke. I want to say this place has potential. It will eventually be a boba place with a noodle fusion and authentic phở(ramen, dan dan, other noodles not authentic). The owner Vin(not Diesel) seems very motivated about improving this place. With the lack of competition around(and 90% profit on standard boba drinks), i know this place will succeed. However, i just hope he continues to improve despite not having much competition around. Seeing a no-caffeine and low calorie option(no caffeine tea, fruit slushies etc) would be nice… it’ll be great for summer nights.

after a year of anticipation, this new boba + [future] noodle place has finally opened– a welcome addition to the med center, especially for me since it’s just steps from my place! but my first visit was kind of a disappointment. the place was still barely furnished but it was understandable considering they had just opened a week ago. you can tell that there’s potential for it to be a great study or hang out spot though! i was the only customer there and ordered my usual — half sweetened taro/coconut smoothie with pudding. they said egg pudding was all they had so i went with that. a few minutes later, my drink was ready, but i noticed that it had regular boba instead of the pudding that i ordered. no big deal at all– get that these mistakes happen. the employee politely apologized and went to fix it. well, instead of making a new drink, he went to the back to dump my drink out into a new cup and simply added some pudding. then he shook it up and handed it to me. i didn’t think too much of it until i got home and realized that the drink only filled up ¾ of the cup since some of it had been dumped out during the transfer, and that it was half pudding, half boba instead of just pudding as i had ordered. it was also completely melted and milky rather than having a smoothie consistency(and i literally live only a minute away). disappointing drink for $ 3.25 and disappointing customer service, especially considering they had no other customers at the time and weren’t in any rush. and not to mention that if anyone had a food allergy this could have been a big deal. hopefully this was just an anomaly and they’ll get their act together in the next few weeks, because i like suck it and with the no-hookah environment, boba-ology has even more potential! i want to like this place so let’s see if they end up redeeming themselves when i give it another shot. :) p. s. hopefully they extend their hours! 11a-4p m-f is not really useful for the student crowd since that’s when people typically have class. later hours or weekend hours would be a great thing to add. oh and punch cards like suck it!

Official opening July 6th, 2015. Noodle bar coming end July. Same stuffs as suck it, owner transitioning into bubbles and noodle restaurant. Don’t expect hookah here. Though he did mention plans for a small college student grocery area for quick for options for on the run between classes. Drink specials through June 10th. Everything I loved about suck it, nothing I didn’t(hookah smoke). Come support the new medical center bubble tea hot spot.
