Management, Kathy, is rude. She’s always looking for a reason to kick someone out. Would be a great place if it were run by someone more friendly with better customer service & people skills

We booked one of their cabins for memorial day weekend 2015. Initially, we were going to bring our two small dogs because their website said they were «pet friendly.» After we made our reservation, we received a phone call stating that there would be a nonrefundable charge of $ 200 per dog to stay for three days! So, we made other arrangements for our dogs and did not bring them.
When we arrived at our assigned cabin, we were quite surprised at how worn-​out and outdated the interior of the cabin was. It looks nothing like the pictures on the website. Additionally, the refrigerator didn’t work. Unfortunately, we did not find this out until we had unpacked everything. They did assign us to a new cabin but, it was also worn out and outdated.
The main reason that I am giving them a one star is because they failed to refund our security deposit in a timely manner. Over a month later I checked my credit card statement and they still had not refunded the deposit. I had to get my credit card company involved to get the deposit back. They claim it was just an error however, I know other people who have stayed here and had similar issues.
Lastly, this park is extremely strict with their rules. Most people who go stay at an RV park are generally in vacation mode however, they don’t like it when anyone has any «fun.» If you’re old and/​or just want to stay in your RV and not do anything, this is the place for you. If you like to enjoy your self while you’re traveling in your RV or renting a cabin, I would choose another location. This place will just run you off from what I hear if you’re having too much fun in their opinion.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced! We took the shuttle to Sea World and since we have 2 babies under 3 we of course had to bring their car seats along in the bus. Upon exiting the bus the driver told us it was no problem at all to leave the car seats There and they would be there @ 4pm when the shuttle comes to pick us up.
Well we got to the front of the park at 3:55pm to wait on bus. The shuttle bus drove into the parking lot, and then just drove right out. Didn’t even stop. We called the office they told us the driver was the maintenance man and he had to get back to the rv park for a water leak.

Apparently they driver was claiming he stopped and waited, but he didn’t.
Ok… So I’m a pretty reasonable person, as well as a fellow business owner. I understand emergency situations and that things come up. At the same time… Here’s my situation… I’ve got 2 babies that CANNOT LEAVE SEA WORLD without a car seat.
As well as I’m confused by their refusal as This rv park is only 4 miles from Sea World… So why did they just flat out refuse to bring the car seats back. We paid for our spot at their park, therefor we paid for the amenities they offer… I was very shocked by their refusal and the staff is EXTREMELY RUDE. O when i asked to talk to the main manager the woman told me that it would be pointless cause all that the main manager would do is call her and that the answer would still be no. WOW

So I travel for work and it just so happens that my shop is behind this place
So of course I thought great! Luxury rv and let me just say the laundry and pool are nice but that is about all the nice things I can say.,.
The customer service here is atrocious! The management is very rude and I think that I may have to drive 30 minutes to get to work because I don’t think I can handle anymore time here. They are absolutely ridiculous!!!

For the past few years we have spent our family vacations here. This year we were warned the first night that we were being to loud we apologized, sent the kids inside and made sure we whispered. Second night the same man walks up and rudely says we are being to loud and even had the nerve to say «I’ll remember that». There’s a reason this park has so many empty spots as compared to before. Losing a lot a business… disappointing because this used to be a fun place to vacation.

We’re back again to stay for another month we love this place. always exemplary upkeep maintenance and friendly staff.

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re going to San Antonio! My husband and I rented one of their 1 bedroom cabins for a couple of nights, along with our two small dogs. The resort is literally 2 minutes from Sea World. The grounds were very clean, and it had a nice dog park that was split for big and small K9’s. The air conditioning in our cabin worked really well, and the cabin itself was very comfortable and clean. It looked like they had a really nice children’s playground, pool, and laundry facility, but we didn’t use them. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the River Walk.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend in our pop up camper. While we where parked in between two huge deluxe RVs nobody seemed to be bothered by it. The bathrooms/​showers were some of the cleanest I’ve seen in an RV park. The dog park was great and well taken care if even offering bags for waste removal. Very close to Sea World as well as other area attractions and lots of eating and shopping nearby. The laundry facilities were a great and welcomed surprise.
You don’t get much green space on your spot and the area we were in at the front was maybe 5 ft from the next camper. There were no firepits, which is a bummer if you want to make s’mores or just sit by the fire in a cold night. We didn’t go in the summer but it seems to have little shade at the campsites but around the edges of the RV park were lots of trees.
Would I stay here again? I would but next time I may try a spot towards the back of the park.

I have had numerous problems with this park. The biggest problem that I had is that if you have a complaint; no one will care. I had a minor issue with my mail service; it was getting rejected for the month and a half that I have been here. I had gone to the office to discuss my assumptions on a few different occasions to which I was told that everything was fine. Finally, I received a letter marked RTS (return to sender); this caused a lot of suspicion. When I went to the office Norma informed me if I was not happy I could go get a PO Box. I was not happy with paying $ 560.00 a month and having to pay even more because they cannot get organized. When I spoke to Kathy about the matter she was quick to tell me that I could take my business elsewhere if I was not happy. I wanted to inform upper management of how this company is run; this is where the real fun starts. I called Sun RV to find out that Jason Lewis was the Regional Vice President. I left him a message on day one. Day two left him another message. After about 24 hours of day ones message I called back to find out who was Jason Lewis’ supervisor which was Tom… After 24 hours of his message without a call back I went in search of some way to get a response. I later was handed Jason Lewis’ cell phone number (713) 614‑0537 from Kathy at the RV Park. Just like the rest of the park he did not have any business sense. All the people in management do not belong in management and do not care about their customers.
This place has a parking lot by the pool, no one is here to enforce speed limits, there are cats that roam free around the park and will get into your vehicles or RV if they can, they do not know who is in the park and who is not, zero organization as far as slots and which are pull through and which are not, non-​residence come to the swimming pool, and if there is a complaint; no one will care (you will get an «I am sorry»).

We stayed with two small children and the pool and playground were great entertainment. Lots of «residents» in the back but all sites and RVs are very well maintained. We stayed at site 104 and I wasn’t happy with it at all. No shade and high traffic area. It is Luxury as far as RV resorts go but I’d actually prefer «camping». They seem to want to nickel and dime you. I reserved the most inexpensive site but lots of open upgrade spots the entire weekend. They didn’t even offer us a better spot but instead gave us the least desirable spot… Seriously, at least 20 empty spots, including on either side if us, and we get the worst. Also, check –out is at 11:00 am SHARP and they will charge you $ 20/​hr til 3:00 pm, then you have to pay for another night. They do have a shuttle to Seaworld but we didn’t use it because it drops off at 9:30 and picks up at 4:00, only. The park didn’t close till 9:00 so we just drove and paid for parking. I don’t think we’ll be back.

Nice RV park with shade trees, paved roads and very clean. Very friendly staff and well managed. Nice part of town. Heated pool and nice playground.

Top notch all the way. The campsites are spacious. The campground is clean with lots of shady oaks. The bath houses are extremely clean and well maintained. Full hook-​ups throughout, including satellite if you want it and WIFI (for a fee). The pool and playground were awesome. And the location is superb. We were blocks from SeaWorld, which was our main goal. But I was completely not expecting to find an HEB Plus, an Academy, Walgreens, and gas stations so close by to our campground. We will be back, for sure.
No doubt we paid substantially more than we typically pay for campsites, but I would pay it again any time. The value is definitely here for what you get.

Best park in town, clean, safe and beautiful! Heated pool and situated in the best part of town.

Any RV park that lets us come and pitch a tent without a fuss is cool in my book. We went to see Willie Nelson at Flores County Store, and needed someplace nearby to stay the night. We’re kinda cheap and like our privacy, so we’d rather stay in our tent any day than in a hotel. Blazing Star was prefect. They were cool with us not owning an RV and just gave us a spot in the back to pitch our tent for only 25 $ for the night, and made sure to put us right by the bathroom for our convenience.
Everyone here was so friendly. People walked their dogs by us and waved or stopped to chat. We were easily the youngest people there, this time of year it seemed to just be retired people living there long term. And I don’t blame them for staying! They have a really nice looking pool and hot tub, a picnic/​playground, a fire ring, grills for you to borrow, and they collect trash and deliver propane. And no one treated us like we were trouble, either, which happens to us sometimes. We went to our concert, crashed for the night, and then used their very clean, very new showering facilities in the morning. Check out time was a little early for us, 11am, but I don’t think they’d make much of a fuss if we had been a little late.
They also had really cute cabins you could rent, and were super helpful at the front desk about giving us directions and recommendations.
