RUDE!!! Do not patronize this establishment. I’m surprised they didn’t check my purse on my way out to see if I stuffed a wardrobe in there to steal.

This is a great place to look around and unique furnishings. I loved the way nobody stalked and harassed us to buy anything. We really were left alone to browse the gallery. Some of the items look like you dug them out of an old estate, and others are a little more contemporary – a really fun place to browse. Cookies and coffee out on a table for your enjoyment as well. On the other hand, I guess I wish that at SOME point, somebody would have asked us if we needed any help. We were attracted to several cabinets, but ended up taking a few pictures with our phones and then leaving. But honestly, I’d rather have to go ask someone for help than run away screaming from a pushy salesperson any day. And the items here were really lovely, and many had an attainable price point as well.

I recently discovered Grassroots coffee so I stumbled into the Armoires and Accents the same day. They weren’t open at 730 that morning with their three stages of furniture and decorations, but what I saw that morning prompted my return for Christmas gifts. Not only do they sell gorgeous, rugged looking furniture they sell affordable home accents like table decorations, bird feeders, candles, scarves, paintings and one of a kind room mirrors. Love, dream and drool here often!

What a glorious place! Armoires and Accents is located on Sunset Rd in Alamo Heights — you can’t miss it, it’s a big yellow building. Head inside to find my own personal divine decorating delight. I frankly can’t afford to decorate my entire home from here. But, I love to go and drool over the selection and get inspiration for things to do in my own home. I recently visited their yearly clearance sale and found a table I absolutely adore at a price I could actually afford.(I wouldn’t say their prices are bad, I would just say my budget doesn’t quite currently measure up!) The other thing I appreciate about this place is great service. People were friendly and very helpful. And grassroots coffee next door is a good stop before you shop to get caffeinated and ready to go!
